  1. defect to not have it --- also the vent from the fuel tank needs to go somewhere.. hide it and leave it connected .. doesnt gain you anything to remove it.
  2. anything thats not overly rounded
  3. yep some places use a real large unit and place it there as ther is no room at the front for that size unit.
  4. pfft to HSV JGTC R35 GTR ..... i just want one!
  5. bigger picture would have been nice BUT the bulge on teh front cover suggests VCT = RB25DET
  6. sounds like the same thing, just hidden -
  7. depending on who complied your car it may be in a different location. - havea look around for something with 3 hose lines on the top of it. 2 lines from the plenum/TB - 3rd line goes to the fuel tank. for ingestion of fuel fumes at idle. similar to whats refered to as "pollution gear" on old carbi engines. wont affect anything, but EPA stipluates it is required.
  8. start with a clean and degrease , then new grease on the locking mechanism.. if no change the it sounds like you latch in the cabin isnt installed correctly.
  9. ceramic is a liquid coating that is applied to the manifold after either acid or blast etching - its then cured in a oven at very high temeratures. Often refered to as HPC coating as that was the main providers of the process. as for the original question, i think you'll find the stud holes in the manifold are round on the 6 boost manifold - have a look at the std one and you'll see they are elongated which is the reson for the large washers. the material thickness of the 6 boost's steam pipe will not allow the room required for the large washers.
  10. i would be pulling the rotor off and having a look at the handbrake componants inside the drum section of teh rear rotor. thats if everything else looks fine on the outside
  11. heya - i'll take the rocker covers and intake plenum and runners. pm me with some pickup location details etc
  12. i'll take it - PM on its way
  13. unplug the battery and use the brake to remove residual power.
  14. reset the ECU incase something did cross - its my only other suggestion at this point.
  15. i would split each wire and tape them up individually
  16. SAFC will let you run the z32 i think, is the AFM a std one? did they cut wires to remove the SAFC? could be shorting out.
  17. Very nice work mate, well done!
  18. Bronzing studio in castle hill NSW does plastic gold chroming.. have never got anything done there, but it is an option. http://www.bronzingstudio.com.au there seems to be something wrong with their site right now though
  19. sure can do the rotors, did them for this brake setup too. MISSION for taping. took over 30 minutes each to mask up and coat. rears are worse than fronts due to the handbrake surface inside the hat of the rear. as long as your coater takes plenty of time to do it neatly you wont have an issue - biggest thing is that you have to mask them - then blast them, then clean them, then remask, then coat. inside and out - these were solid rears, but you can still to the outer rim of the rotor like i did for this car on the vented rotors.
  20. yeah VHT does work great, but i still want more gloss than the VHT clear can provide. those were are fairly big calipers off a 9" rear ended Torana. $40 each might sound expensive, but there is alot more work on them than they look.
  21. you've supplied constant power to the lighting system. there shouldnt be any constant power near the rear lights, have you added some?
  22. use the power wire to the std overtemp thermo fan as a signal wire to another relay to run your thermos. but i very much doubt you could modify the switch position in any way. perhaps the powerFCs laptop software has an option, but i havent looked at it.
  23. mirror black PBR brakes i just finished off .. powdercoat is a fair bit thicker so helps to remove the casting marks some
  24. 33 drivers seats dont height adjust, just base angle. if it was a passenger seat , then you wouldnt have a hole for the seat belt, so you wouldnt have a catch to buckle into. got pics?
  25. windscreens obrien? will have to remove the entire window and replace with a new seal, then reseal it all up. wont be cheap for you though. i've found the generic seal from a BA falcon works well and looks good - on the 33 though.
