  1. Fry_33 awesome post mate
  2. R55 - seems to be a risk rating from the material safety data sheet of products... do you have a brand of the solvent?
  3. What type of citrus cleaner? and where from? Where would you purchase this? if it dries quick, then it will flash dry if kept in a parts washer ?
  4. This is something that i have been looking into alot recently.. with little results Cleaning off baked on oil under cam covers is the main reason i needed this info. 1st try - Kenco water based degreaser mixed 1 part to 20 parts water - worked but not well enough after soaking for 48 hours. These are cast alloy cam covers and at this mix, no corrosion present. Trying to get a hold of parts cleaner fluid, but cannot find this in any retail store and my Mech has it for $60 for 20L (brand unknown to me) Spoken with a polisher who is getting in some new stuff to try, but thats $150 per 20L - so will wait for results from them Currently left the parts with my Machinist to run in his engine bath setup - get them back tomorrow and see how they turned out. Carbie Cleaner worked awesome, but not very cost effective to use the cans of that @ about $20 a can. i think i recall someone telling me about getting tubs of this stuff, that they soak carbies in, but depending on the parts size and how often you use it, this might be overkill Kero - kero and diesel works, MR 30 - how is the smell of the shop area you use this in? is it individual parts or setup in a parts washer?
  5. something like http://www.kpg-industrial.com/products/dry_graphite_lube/ not too sure of ones available in AUS since i have used some that i found in the shed thats probably as old as me oh and i just use the first large lip, not the rear lip you have pictured... just be careful to watch for any flexing (havent seen it on mine but i always watch and make sure)
  6. get a 3 inch cat to go with your 3 inch exhaust - not really much point in using a small cat with a larger exhaust
  7. yeah they used to be on the corner near the council chambers/plaza, but have moved recently to coombes rd off correen ave
  8. 1) you will require to wire up a power feed, relays and a switch in teh cabin in order to get your new driving lights to work.. have seen kits at supercheap for this.. 2) as per baconer's post 3) the std spoiler is connected via a push in plug located next to the drivers side brake light assembly. there is no independant fuse for this light. check for 12v feed to this plug with the brake lights on, if its there, then more than all the sets of LED banks in the light are broken.
  9. This is awesome, i have been using a manual fuel pump switch for both std and external pumps as i was not getting power to the std pump relay.. have printed this out and hopefully able to repair it all , then use the std power feed as the trigger for my dual relay setup. cheers for keeping into your thread, nice to see someone complete their progress and post the results. Nice Work Govich
  10. hahaha you could ask here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/search.html&f=8
  11. i think you'll find that they wont publish the paint codes for their cars, same as yamaha doesnt publish paint codes for the R1's .. so it can only be purchased through them for those specific products. good luck with the search though
  12. ceramic coatings are designed to keep heat IN, not what you want
  13. Where in western sydney are you? i KNOW that Hickeys Metal Fabrication has a bead roller, they are in Penrith - now in Coombes Rd
  14. looking around at the australian shops i know for this type of equipment your looking at over $1000 for a manual one - www.hareandforbes.com.au - try your local Tool shop, and have a look through their catalogues or build your own http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FULL-SIZE-B...sspagenameZWD2V BEST BET is http://www.tradingpost.com.au/iteminfo/adn...subs_Machinery_
  15. yes you can, but that just yells out to police to defect you, as that is an EPA issue to vent it to atmosphere (yes same with catch cans venting to the atmosphere - only they are usually less obvious)
  16. I have many times, still no issues just dont go all out on the bolt, watch for flex to see if there is something holding the HB on, and get some dry lube for when you put it back on so its not hard for the next time you remove it.
  17. This has already been covered within the Fabrication section http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t163558.html and still on the first page
  18. http://nismo.com.au/ they have them listed as $180 each in the styling section
