  1. Your surge tank will have an overflow back into the main tank.. if you dont run the return from the rail to the surge tank i doubt it will create any additional pressure in the surge tank. im running a std r33 gtst pump as a lift to a surge tank then 044 (return from rail into surge tank)
  2. i was always thinking of a smal trans cooler mounted up front, might look into a place out the back see if theres room
  3. Nope, as long as its on the turbo outlet somewhere its fine
  4. if i thought that i would not have said it... you wanted neat and something to be able to be put back and glued in . not an easy way.
  5. stanley knife and patience
  6. boost is a measure of resistance to the air pressure in the plenum .. with a port polished head it may be that you are indeed pushing more through your turbo than previously without the resistence in the head/plenum increasing
  7. im thinking about it too, i run the return from the engine back into my surge tank but dont seem to notice many issues other than a slight change of noise when its really hot outside
  8. im pretty sure John from UAS was running a fuel cooler on his track Z - this was along time ago that i saw it but it may still be on it and he could give you some info perhaps
  9. also heard that uplugging the temp sensor part from the plug under the passenger seat will stop the light too . as it cant earth out to enable to light through the plug yet to try it for myself though
  10. so the same as the compressor housings. interesting
  11. is your speedo working? if so check the solenoid wiring to the power steering rack to ensure the rack is still recieving the power signal from the ecu that controls its assistance
  12. Mona, any chance you can get some more info regarding the alsd resevoir and lines etc and what Josh did to remove them .. just so these others may have a chance to do the swap themselves if need be
  13. ahh sweet, sounds good, cheers
  14. all the HKS turbine housing i have seen always have the size in the castings, got a pic of the outlet side of the housing?
  15. looks nice and neat. nice work does it still allow full lift in the bonnet? notice any issues in closing the bonnet? does it require force from the top to allow it to close or does it fall from a point to close itself?
  16. yeah i did, wasnt worth it though .. test was piss easy

  18. LOL cheers spent the day getting my bike p's .. now im tired as hell the games shall begin tomorrow
  19. more than likely will require a rub back, prime and repaint check out the console painting threads in the cosmetic and styling section for some ideas and processes
  20. Or use a sealed box as legally required if you have it in the boot. as for the drop tank, to remove the wheel well and reinforce the area, then have the drop tank installed and engineered . it will cost you a fair bit. have thought about this before though .. you also shift the balance of the car since the std tank is over the rear sub frame, this would move the weight back and potentially cause some over steer characteristics when full tank and cornering
  21. why not just turn the Q45 TB upside down so the throttle mechanism is on the drivers side .. then use the std cable
  22. o0o0o puurrrtty
  23. then be prepared to replace your dash if you ever get defected .. that area is the crash zone .. needs to be padded
  24. sit in your drivers seat, and look over to picture them above the glove box its not really the best spot for monitoring the details while driving - especially if your doing track work
  25. did you really need to make 2 threads for this? in cosmetic and FI ??
