  1. hey deren, if you get five mins, would you be able to take a pic of the way your horns connect up, i.e. which wires lead to the horn units? my gtr has no horns and i need to figure out how to replace them...
  2. No, that's not true. The BMW was stationary - you cannot hit a stationary vehicle, full stop. The onus is on the driver of the moving vehicle here.
  3. spotted a silver r33 gtr with white rims near woden last night. looked great!
  4. good luck with the short film mate! hope it all works out great. i did the soundtrack to a shortfilm (tropfest) a few years ago, lots of fun indeed!
  5. have a read of this thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=141481 pics on first page and subsequent pages.
  6. bump anyone? i'd like more travel on my clutch (i.e. longer takeup distance), i don't mind about difficulty in pushing the pedal...anyone?
  7. also the wiki admin tags are still not working - would be good to raise the profile of the wiki. several times recently i've been helping people with things and thinking 'this'd be something that shuold go in the wiki instead'.
  8. i'm pretty sure you can find a good pic of the ETS hydraulic unit in Deren's post here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=2682991 You can find the attesa error codes on page CH67 of the service manual (if it's the same manual). you must have the same size rims on the gtr or attesa will throw a fault - but i don't think it will throw a code 18 (more like codes 1-4).
  9. so that's what the ETS hydraulic unit looks like! soz, can't help you with the bushes I'm afraid!
  10. ah, good stuff. yes, these are much clearer than mine (scan of a photocopy of a photocopy). cheers mate.
  11. good point - my image is quite lame, could you find an image in FAST? I can do the rest
  12. aha, happy i found this thread. so just to confirm: 1. there should be a difference in clutch feel when the car is off/on - harder off, easier on? 2. a larger slave (like the nismo slave) will make the clutch softer? cheers fellas.
  13. did you end up getting the nismo unit?
  14. i've found a backplate diagram for the r32 so i'll see about working it up.
  15. GTR_STEALTH and sandyb, did you have a look at the flowchart? you need to examine the hydraulic unit with a multimeter to check for current. see the attached image for the hydraulic unit terminals. quicksta, open your bother's boot and have a look at the attesa ecu - it will probably be flashing. count the number of flashes (carefully) and report back. there are at least half a dozen possible problems.
  16. thanks for that, time for me to research this nismo slave. part of me wonders if it wouldn't just be easier to sell the os giken and put in a different one...but i can see a new slave would be cheaper and easier to fit.
  17. It looked really great Andrew. Really happy to see it again after all those problems you had too.
  18. Hmmm....how much is a little? i thought the adjustment on the shaft only moved the take up position, but not the suddenness or distance of the takeup....?
  19. yer i spotted a few. last night in civic, a burgandy r33 with a white bonnet the purple people eater at around lunch time in woden (SWEET) a silver r33 gtr going into manuka about an hour ago, and then a black r33 leaving manuka.
  20. it takes up close to the driver (i.e. away from the floor)
  21. yeah i should have specified my problems a bit better the main things are that (a) it bites hard and (b) it grips in about a centimetre. this makes hill starts and moving off at low revs a real problem. i stall it a lot. i also spin the wheels a lot. would a new slave fix these? or something else?
  22. my condolences, anthony. i hope everything goes ok for you.
  23. Electronic Torque Split I bet: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATTESA-ETS
  24. ah nuts alright, i'll look into it this afternoon.
