  1. uh think he means kumbaya: http://www.straightdope.com/classics/a980911a.html anyway might come along as far as the bateman's, depending on how some other plans work out.
  2. how sure are you that the car exists?
  3. vrey, very sorry to hear mate. i hope you are feeling ok. i really do not think it's a write off, i have had cars that have been through worse than that. hope to see you back on the road soon.
  4. for sure! Jeez - I could go a jet powered RC plane! I guess it depends on what you enjoy - for a while I was big time into RC cars and spent ludicrous amounts of money buying old kits and things. And my Skyline...er..."hobby" isn't exactly cheap
  5. is that second one interlaken?
  6. hmmm. i'm afraid i don't know what constant rate flashing means...?
  7. is it the ecu flashing? if the ecu is flashing, then it will be flashing in a certain sequence. count the flashes and then compare it to the table i pasted in above. e.g. if it's one long flash and then two short flashes it's the MAF sensor.
  8. great depth of field on that mig(?).
  9. here are the ecu codes (i checked the service manual but couldn't find them). the first digit is long flashes, the second digit is short flashes. 11 Crankshaft position sensor 12 MAF sensor circuit 13 Coolent temperature circuit 14 Vehicle speed sensor circuit 21 Ignition circuit 31 ECU 34 Knock sensor 43 Throttle position circuit 45 Injector leak 51 Ignition circuit 54 Auto signal to ECU 55 All OK the best thing to do might be to hook up a consult unit. much better info.
  10. which computer? the ecu?? on your vl or a skyline? the number of flashes will indicate what the problem is.
  11. my r33 na had a silver badge. my r32 gtst had red. think my gtr has red also.
  12. i thought it was odd, but i also thought tha that's what they always did, doh.
  13. spotted a dark blue r33 this morning coming into civic. I was in front of you when you were next to the crane.
  14. ok chaps, six laps to go - ford or holden for the win?
  15. there are many calculators around, do a search. just about all of the import brokers have such calculators on their sites.
  16. this is the first year in maybe 25 that i've watched bathurst. it's pretty interesting - heartbreaking to watch skaife. i really wish, though, that they would have cars other than commodores and falcons. i'm not familiar with the rules so don't know why this isn't done. hope your leg gets better soon b-man.
  17. I'm in the same boat as sinista. also my gtr presented a non-trivially steep learning curve. the only thing i'm looking to add is a powerfc to replace my mines ecu. eventually suspension too.
  18. this may or may not be of much help to you, but the workshop manual is usually quite helpful in diagnosing problems. it has flowcharts for checking voltages and stuff - certainly this and a multimeter helped me diagnose and fix my attesa problem. i did have a magically depleting battery when i had my r33. it started draining after i had an alarm/immob installed (let's not name names - we'll call them strathpaddock). In retrospect, I think that was the design of the alarm in that case. Could it be an alternator problem?
  19. we have a dinner....but maybe after that
  20. ah but http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/frame.php?f...amp;carnum=1132 ok, probably NOT a volvo. rats.
  21. -> http://www.tme.com/
  22. >their product is used by God. lol
  23. geosocial factors only explain a small part: the UK has a population of some 60M, and Australia has about 20M. and geographically it would be about the same distance to the venue in both the UK and Oz. here are maps for comparison: but to be honest, i think there's also a difference of cultures. differing perceptions of what constitutes a 'community' and 'community participation' go a long way to explaining why it's so hard to get people involved here.
