  1. eh don't want to seem anal but not sure if it's a good idea to list where the car was parked (syndicate forums have this rule too). could be thieves lurking!
  2. lol cheers guys, thanks for the comments. ta also for the info about the rims, yer they do look like r34s now that it's pointed out to me. didn't notice the guy in the driver's seat, wonder if he comes with it. i already have an r33, bought this one as a daily driver (life's too short). sinista: will let you know mate waiting to see what it's like when it arrives, next mods will be fmic and frontbar i'd say.

  6. dayne, i'm in the same boat as zeb - went to a pod, then back again. i really couldn't tell the difference and didn't want to take the risk of a defect during the tsunami cruise. in a few months or so i'll buy a k+n high flow.
  7. sweet action!
  8. canya put 'em online somewhere?
  9. know how you feel GM_GTR - i was RUSTY AS HELL. one mix was just awful, sounded even worse in the car. but hey i figured rust or not if people like it, well great, just a little pressie for my fellow skyliners. i'm keen to hear your stuff, i have a cd here for you too.
  10. Yer I'm keen. I agree with Veilside, the eagle rocks.
  11. was a great day and megaprops to glenn and jayce for organising. On 60 Minutes last night they had a story about the tsunami...turned to my gf and said, "we helped those people today!". Fuggin' great. Also glad people liked the mix - GM_GTR where were ya??? keen for photos photos photos photos!!!!!
  12. hi y'all, my thesis is just about complete so i'm reacquainting myself with my decks. my plan is to mix up a cd of cruisey trax and bring copies tomorrow (free, natch). don't know how many i'll have, depends on how long the mix takes me and how long it takes to burn the cds. will probably be fairly breaksy. sigi

  16. leech i think the latest issue of hpi has a big article on changing your shocks - may be of help?
  17. spotted a leccy blue r34 gtr vspec yesterday near jbhifi woden.
  18. guys, it is important to realise that this is not about our government. if you want to blame someone, blame the morons around the world (and in australia) who have thrown personal responsibility out the window and sue at the drop of a hat. the insurance firms are paying out so many of these claims that otherwise fairly harmless events such as this pay the price of high premia. Glenn's doing a great job so far and no one can blame him for worrying. The problem is that accidents happen. E.g. yesterday at the shops, a guy near us left his handbrake off while he ducked into the shops. Car rolled forward and dented the one parked about four metres away. Under the right circumstances that scene could have turned into a real sh*tfight - not for the person whose car was dented, but the person who left the handbrake off, suing the car company for allowing him to park in that manner. On a related note, I agree with Andrew - i want my $10 to go to the tsunami victims and rebuilding their lives. Not the pockets of an insurance firm and their claret over lunch. Glenn, keep it up - there are people not far from here whose lives will really benefit from this.
  19. ah sweet action - all's well that ends well. see, that's why i like the canberra skyline community, everyone's looking out for other liners. i don't see beemer or lancer owners waving to each other!
  20. "eyes on the prize"
  21. i like the idea of a meetup beforehand - arrive in style as a bunch. the school of music carpark is pretty big and just about empty on the weekend. it's also just down the road from to the museum.
  22. When my friend's car was stolen some years ago, the cops said the most common places to find them dumped were the (old) Burnie Courts and Stromlo Forest.
  23. sorry to hear this mate - scum, they are. will keep my eyes peeled!
  24. Welcome to the forums Nathan!
