  9. ah crap, i'd love to come to this but i'll be in japan. if a club is on the cards i'd love to help out. good on you, jon.
  10. sorry to piggyback, but what size tyres should i go for with 17x9.5? this is for a gtr. this site (http://www.pneus-online.co.uk/equivalency-tables-advice.html) says 245 minimum - which is the size i'd like to go for as it appears quite common and not too expensive. i guess i'm after looks on a daily driver...any ideas?
  11. Andrew, just a few questions: - do you have a cutoff date? this would be helpful - can you tell us what the photos will be used for? do photographers retain repro/copy right? - are you sure you want 3x6meg photos? that's an 18 meg email... cheers, sig.
  12. I think your first bit of advice was the best - go for the right offset and everyone will be happy. There's a thread elsewhere about offsets that work. good luck!
  13. have you checked insurance?
  14. This will be no use to you now but may be useful next time. If I have to drive a car in any state other than road-legal, I type up a letter of intent. In the letter, I write where I've come from, where I'll be going, and why. Where possible I include times and routes. I sign the letter in blue ink and date it. This letter has helped me on two occasions. It helps establish in the mind of the officer that my trip is pre-meditated and for an appropriate purpose.
  15. spotted a silver r33 with black enkei rp01s and a wrx bonnet scoop out at brand depot, brand depot, brand depot yesterday.
  16. Spotted me getting a lovely sticker in the mail - thanks Anthony!!
  17. Looks like the same guy who lunched his clutch/flywheel is now selling his rims: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...=ADME:B:SS:AU:1 "Came of R32 skyline. dont have car anymore."
  18. he's talking about the well known place, nplatt. obviously.
  19. Are you sure??? That's a circumference of 84 inches on the rear and 73 inches on the front. The front would be performing many more revolutions than the rear at a given speed. attesa wouldn't like that at all. from another site: "One of the common mistakes that people make is using different tyres (grip levels) and different sizes (your fronts and rears should be the same size, width and height) as any small changes will drastically affect how ATTESA interprets its input."
  20. not necessarily the same width, but the same rolling diameter or attesa will spit the dummy. effectively this means the same width also, because of the percentage relationship between sidewall height and tyre width.
  21. aha, cheers for that Corinne
  22. wonder what size/offset these rims are...
  23. spotted a nice grey r32 gtr yesterday in woden - gt wing and a bov that went "zzzzzwwwwwww"
  24. Yes. The light, focus and framing are terrific. The point of interest is just below centre line and I think that adds to the impression. The SAU badge on the triangular black sill also creates an interesting foil. The shadows to the right are midly distracting but these are hard to avoid at car shows with so many people milling around. Very nice indeed.
  25. Thanks Richard - are they likely to stick out from the body (assuming everything's stock)? I'd like to avoid a defect...
