  1. Is that as in the 3037 pro s, or is that something different altogether? If it is, the guys over here rave about them and have had good results (although admittedly on R33`s) theres a good dyno chart here http://www.skyline-owners-club.com/forums/...ead.php?t=16137 If your looking at 350 as your limit and don`t want to go further, may be better with a 2835 pro s, spools a little quicker, again a dyno chart http://www.skyline-owners-club.com/forums/...read.php?t=2176 Again, i`m a bit of a newbie myself to these things, so by no means take my advice as gospel, far from it.
  2. Hi all, i thought i`d ask this here instead of the uk forum as you guys seem to be far more technically minded, a tribute to you. I`ve been welding for quite a few years now, and have a fairly respectable array of workshop equipment. I started off gas welding, then MMA and finally moved to MIG/MAG, but have always wanted to go TIG. I currently have a Migatronic 180mxe (set for MAG), Oxford 250 MMA, and a 200 amp Mosa engine driven lump, but i`ve been offered a rather nice Lincoln V200 tig plant with all the toys for a bargin price. Currently the type of work i do ranges from gates and railings to sculptural stuff and everything in between, but i`d say about the thickest steel i weld is about 3/8. Thing is, i`ve recently found myself turning away a lot of work on stainless steel, i know i could use the MIG, but i`m more worried about welds cracking as i have a small reputation to withold. I could pick up a lot of work if i could move to stainless. So my question really is, should i sell the MIG and MMA equipment and buy the TIG? Are the slower process times worth the ability so produce solid work on stainless? Am i going to regret getting rid of the MIG for those bigger jobs? Ive got to say, the portabilty factor of the TIG might make it a winner in the end, after all the MIG must way about 150lbs, the Oxford is virtually unmovable, even on wheels, and the noise from the Mosa is a bit of a concern in most areas. Cheers folks, I look forward to your opinions on the matter. Jay
  3. You wouldn`t be skyline kid from steathbus.com as well by chance would you?
  4. Theres a company in the uk that do this conversion, most people i`ve spoken to have said you get better gains that a greddy style plenum, mainly in bottom end torque i think. I can`t find the pictures on there website, but if you google image search thor plenum rb25 there`s a few pics here http://images.google.co.uk/images?ndsp=18&...tart=0&sa=N hope this helps
  5. As requested
  6. Thought i`d better say hi instead of just snooping around. I`m Jay, a UK owner of currently an R33 GTS s1 and a C34 Stagea. The GTS is just running an HKS filter Greddy Plugs and an HKS super drager exhaust, while the Stagea (a new arrival) sports full Dayz bodykit, 34GTT wheels, Tein HA coilovers, HKS silent exhaust, rsp decat, Japspeed downpipe, Apexi filter, greddy plugs and a profec b s1 controller (think thats all) Look forward to speaking to some of you soon. I`m interested to know how much power you guys have put through the standard autoboxes and comparing a few dyno sheets. Cheers. Jay
