  1. I can't see how there is even any pressure in there. It's just the air space in the sump and crank case. My breathers don't have any pressure so how does the oil pump? I can understand if it was the oil pump itself but yeah. And I did ask people and they said the sealant should hold as its no different to the sump.
  2. well im sorry but when my oem gasket kit didnt include one i assumed it just used sealant. later i found out that it hadnt been returned to the kit. i have a gasket now and obviously i am going to replace it but i just wanted a confirmation as to how many oil pumps had cracked.
  3. I used sealant. I think that's the problem. There wasnt a gasket in the kit. But I have 3 spare cam/crank seals
  4. Ok I'm going nuts. To me it looks like the oil is coming from above the oil pump. I had it running for over 10minutes without the top timing cover and nothing came out. How common is it to crack the oil pump? I read it can happen if the crank collar is wrong.
  5. Il probably get a bush made at work for the clutch pedal If that's the case. It only got really bad when I put a hd clutch in. I need some more back friendly seats anyway so some new rails and seats will fix the moving seat issue. I've got one glue patch unstuck and 2 clips just not holding. I'm not really worried about it just curious what others have noticed over ownership.
  6. Over the 5 years I've noticed a few things making noises an moving. Just curious if anyone else had noticed it too. My clutch pedal clicks and dips sideways a little like there is a piece worn out of the pivot point. The front of my drivers seat lifts with acceleration. Like the rails are worn badly. My rear hood lining isn't stuck to the roof anymore on the front edge. Like the clips just won't hold the weight. And as far as I know it's never been removed.
  7. Edit just reread what you had typed I use a blatz cable and Nissan data scan and I've never had a problem.
  8. The story is that because the air has to turn 360 degrees it slows down and causes massive pressure drop/restriction. I've got a jjr turnflow and an atr43 ss1 and I do have a massive restriction. 20 peak dropping to 14psi.(only with the high pressure actuator, with the low pressure actuator my turbo starts at below 7psi and walks up to 18psi, clearly not the intercooler causing it)
  9. Nissan epc data says pump is - 150105L800
  10. My 7psi creeps to 18, 14psi creeps to 22, 21psi I have never revved past 26psi. That's on an atr43 ss1
  11. I would be pretty worried if Audi wasn't better then VW, my wife's beetle caught fire 3 times in the 8 months we had it.
  12. I did have it unhooked only hooked it the other day. Im not using it like a daily at all. I drove it to work so I could go for a mountain run after work. If I could find tuner who I trusted it would be booked in, as it sits I'm just slowly putting ks on it waiting for my tuner to move.
  13. I haven't reinstalled the catch can yet. I have to make a new one as my air filer stole its home. But I've been unplugging the hose when I check the oil and there isnt a single spec of oil in it.
  14. My tuner is changing shops so yeah I'm still waiting. And if I knew it would spike that high I wouldn't have done it, it only happened once. I'm beig very careful with it, I measure the oil that came out over night and there is mayb 4/5ml. In my drip tray. I am trying to use the same spot at work everyday but it's not easy to get it all the time. I was thinking about it last night and what if my machinist machined a oil bit off the oil seal part of my crank.
  15. I wouldn't say I was driving hard but I wasn't grandmaing either. Like I'm running it in so bursts of acceleration. I'm up to 5500rpm now and the turbo has regained is old habits. Starts off at 3/4psi creeps to 7 and sits there for a while then gets up and walks its way to 16psi by 5500rpm. Edit. Not sure if this is a major factor but that was up one of the steepest streets around.
  16. There is a slight angle in the car park but I didn't think it was that bad. And I checked it about 3-4 hours after shutdown.
  17. Ok. I'm losing my mind, drove my car to work yesterday, checked the oil at smoko, down 1 litre. Ok fine, rang my wife she went and bought some oil and brought it down to me, put half a litre in. Get home have dinner, check oil and it's half a litre over full.
  18. Both drivers side boots, but strip and regrease passenger.
  19. Lol. My c34 only made 227kw with a hypergear turbo on 20 psi
  20. $170 drive in drive out. Strip, clean, grease and new boots. Sounds good to me
  21. booztjjunkie - i tried to get it done through walkers but they dont do them anymore , i ended up gettin my dad to do it through work.he snuck it in with the samples from the diesel trains. the stock plate has 1 hole but i havent got a temp guage anyway so for now i think il be ok. mafia - lol funnels dont help when a dog jumps on you.
  22. I was going to use the stock one, is it not suitable?
  23. It's really weird. Like considering how much oil is under my car I shoul notice a difference. But it's still perfectly on the full line. I might just drive it and see if it keeps happening. I'm going to put my oil pressure gauge in when I get a chance anyway. I don't trust the light.
  24. Yeah I've degreased and wiped it all down. The only spot that I keep getting oil on the bar with the holes in it and a few drops on the sump. I had it running with covers off and nothing came out. But I think I spilt like half a litre of oil.
  25. I can't find a leak. I'm just waiting to see if I am actually losing any oil. Im hoping it's just oil I spilt.
