  1. Ok got the all clear from the oil test. Nothing dangerous.
  2. That's how it sounds so far. But keep in mind that I'm not pushing it into boost yet, but when I first got the atr running it was LOUD!!!! Haven't heard back yet Edit. All clear. Nothing dangerous in there
  3. $100 for 1 boot. Shit. I've got 2 stuffed ones.
  4. Hey, i need to get my drivers side boots replaced but just wondering if anyone has had to get new cvs. Just want to know how much it cost incase I need new shafts/joints. Thanks.
  5. Anyone else noticed how much quieter an atr43 ss1 is with a pod instead of the airbox. I can barely hear my turbo anymore.
  6. Did you remove the stock boost restrictor???
  7. Muff - i replied in your thread. Ok it's all running beautifully. Over 170psi across all cylinders. Currently still on run in oil and minimal boost. Still for sale. If not sold before the tune, price will go up a bit to reflect on all money I just spent. If sold before the tune and it doesn't make over 250kw for you i will pay for your tune.
  8. ?????? An ebc can't lower your boost. If you have set you maximum boost below your wastegate pressure it isn't going to do anything.
  9. Ok so I ran it without the covers and there wasn't any oil coming from anywhere. As far as I can see the oil is just coming from no where. I'm going to degrease it all and see if it comes back. Maybe I spilt more then I thought.
  10. well this isnt fun, i want to know what was said now
  11. Lol. I got suckered into helping empty my inlaws house for them. It's apart just need to clean it so I can seal it.
  12. To me it looks to be above the oil pump. If it is the cam seals il be happy.
  13. A white series 2 rs4v stagea parked next to me at mt ommaney last night, I came out at about 6:55 and saw it.
  14. There is oil splatters all over the rail that runs under the front of the engine (the one with all the holes in it) and a few drips on the floor. But it must be pretty minimal because there isn't any oil missing from the sump Are you sure there is no way to do the pump without pulling the engine back out?
  15. Lol yeah that's what I meant. I would just hate to put it together and find out that the leak is coming from something I though was the source.
  16. I'm just wondering if I should throw some silicon around before I put it back together just to be sure.
  17. Why is anyone to blame at all. It's an oil leak. And I do still have negative things to say about 2 businesses at yatala, I just know its not worth worrying about it anymore. Proving their lack of quality work won't fix the problems or put the money back in my pocket. I was actually wondering when you would be back.
  18. It's just kinda running down the front. I'm gonna put the timing belt on and start it. I'm sure a few minutes without a water pump won't kill it.
  19. Ok so I'm left with a few possibilities Head gasket, cam covers, oil pump, or something completely random.
  20. It's hard to get a good look. It would be easier if it would run without all that stuff on so I could see.
  21. The leak is very minimal, like there isn't a difference on the dipstick. Just a few drops on the floor. It didn't have leaks hen I did the oil change, but in the next 15km it started to leak It's not the front seal. It looks like its coming from up higher. I can't see where but yeah. Maybe the oil pump bolts aren't tight enough? Is there actually much pressure behind the oil pump? There isn't a single spec of oil vapor in my breathers.
  22. Yeah it's brand new done 113km. I just thought that oil destroyed them.
  23. Its good to know its possible to do the seal without pulling the pump off. Just a thought. If my front seal is leaking does that mean I need a new timing belt because it will be stuffed?
