  1. Lol. I noticed that. Have you driven an r34 gtr? What are the ratios like?
  2. Been sitting at work thinking, apart from the flywheel, is there anything different between the c34 geabox and the r34 gtr 6speed?
  3. Quick answer, auto - 350ish, manual 450ish. That's how it comes across from all the stuff ive read in here.
  4. Oh I thought I read up further that it's $550 for a 200litre drum. What's your economy like. I get 400-450km from 60litres. Just had a look and the closest and only e85 servo is a caltex 50 km from home.
  5. Sorry for the off topic, but I'm curious how you all can be happy to pay so much for fuel, like I pay $1.60 a litre for bp 98 octane, you all pay over $2.50 per litre. Is it really worth it?
  6. Ok kewl. Il wind a tap in to be sure. He took 6thou of the block and there is little 2mm round black spot in the middle if nowhere. Other then that it looks perfect.
  7. Arp head bolts.
  8. Does this head stud order look correct? Front 12 8 4 2 6 10 14 11 7 3 1 5 9 13 Lube studs with 30wt oil and torque in 3 stages upto 85ft lb
  9. Hks33, do you have pics? Hanso, I actually didnt consider nz sites for part numbers. Thank you.
  10. Not all of it, I haven't paid for the bearings, grub screwing, crank bush or balancing yet. It's going straight from my garage to the dyno to make sure my tune is safe enough for the run in. I can't think of anything that could go wrong but who knows anything is possible.
  11. yeah he has a torque plate, he does lots of rb25s, well enough to keep parts in stock for them.
  12. Just to clear things up. My machinist is doing as follows. Bore/hone/shave the block, install crank collar, remove aluminum plugs and install grub screws in crank, polish/balance crank, install new crank bearings, put pistons on the rods, install pistons/crank into block. I will get the block back and install the oil pump and water pump, bolt the head and sump on, install the timing belt, install timing cover/can covers. Bolt engine to gearbox and put the whole thing in the car. Have I missed anything that the machinist should be doing?
  13. What do you think I'm going to do wrong?
  14. There isn't anything hard about bolting a head on.
  15. I'm not paying for assembly. But yeah I was thinking that earlier.
  16. Yeah my goals are only 250kw. I'm having a lot of trouble finding a clutch fork boot though. So far my bill is as follows. Head $650, pistons $800, crank collar $100, block acid dip and bore $600, water pump timing kit and gaskets $1200.
  17. ok there is a jasma lightened crank pulley on ebay, are they ok to use? my machine shop is just fitting the crank collar, removing the aluminium plugs and balancing my crank and il have my block back.
  18. Lol. I don't get those emails . But in all seriousness I understand why people get them but the stagea is one of the easiest cars I've ever parked. My wife actually says its just as easy as parking her hilux. but I do have a reverse camera in my stagea, in the front bumper lol, something enjoyable about watching the road fly past 6 inches off the ground. Dont take my response too seriously. I had a women spend 15 minutes trying to park a land cruiser last night and that was with a reverse camera.
  19. Edit - my response was harsh. I don't have anything nice to say so yeah.
  20. Reverse camera on a stagea . Are people down there not taught how to drive? Sorry but if you need a reverse camera you clearly shouldn't be driving at all.
  21. Good to know that they have improved their quality.
  22. Every single person ever has told me that. This is the first time I've heard differently.
  23. I was always told to use engine braking.
  24. You need a silicon reducer elbow and a piece of pipe too.
  25. Ok more updates, Npc clutch - $630 Engine mounts - $200 Clutch fork boot - $50 Harmonic balancer - $350 New oil pump or crank bush - $150
