  1. I drive the same road everyday and my car is definitely the same or mayb slightly slower then it was with the stock turbo.
  2. Still for sale?
  3. Il upload a dyno sheet. But the dyno run was without a boost t, the t was only used to try to fix it and it didn't work. The actuator that is fitted is the one that was fitted when I received it. Pretty sure you said its the high pressure one. We used 2 identical boost gauges. One on each side of the cooler.
  4. I'm happy with the figure, it's back to stock power. But considering I bought a turbo rated to 375hp I'm unhappy with the result. I'm wondering if it's a wastegate issue now.
  5. All been tested, there is a 1-2psi drop across the core. Next excuse!?????
  6. I will try to upload the dyne sheet. Also has anyone else noticed the info missing from the bottoms of staos dyno results. Without all the extra info they look rather false. Just a note I wouldnt be this pissed off it atleast made the same hp as the stock turbo. It fell a few hp short of the stock turbo. I know different conditions may be at fault but yeah for $100 more I could have had a better turbo without all the extra problems of installing a chinese/eBay turbo.
  7. I will blame him. The turbo has a 19psi actuator on it that he recommended and we only put the boost control on to try to keep the boost up. Without a boost control it does exactly the same thing. That power figure was without the boost t. From the day I received the turbo I told him it wouldnt work and he has repeatedly said no it's fine. Obviously it is not fine. If it was a boost control issue do you think I would be ranting about him.
  8. I'm saying that is maximum boost. The turbo has a spike to 20 then fall back to 14psi.
  9. got my car tuned and made an appallingly low 306hp on 14psi, thanks hypergear for ripping me off.
  10. just a finalization of this thread. the boost control doesnt matter if you have a shit chinese made turbo from hypergear
  11. I FEEL THAT THIS RESPONSE REQUIRES CAPITALS SO HERE GOES. STAO/HYPERGEAR YOU HAVE SOME F**KING EXPLAINING TO DO JUST GOT MY CAR DYNO TUNED - 306HP ON 14 PSI :@:@:@:@:@:@:@:@:@:@ MODS - ATR43 SS-1, JJR 3" BELL MOUTH DUMP, SINGLE CELL CAT, HKS HI POWER CAT BACK, JJR TURN FLOW INTERCOOLER, SPLITFIRE COIL PACKS, K&N PANEL FILTER, 3" STEEL INTAKE PIPE, TURBOSMART TYPE 3 PLUMB BACK BLOW OFF VALVE, WALBRO GSS-342, TURBOSMART BOOST T. NO MATTER WHAT THE TUNER DID WITH THE BOOST CONTROL IT WOULD SPIKE TO 20 PSI THEN HOLD 14 PSI TO RED LINE.
  12. By what your saying it sounds like you have hooked up your boost control backwards or you have put a vacuum line in the wrong spot.
  13. Just a side note, my shaft also has notchy universals and it doesn't cause a vibration in my car, mayb yours is bent??
  14. Well it looks like I'm going to be running the turbosmart boost t, no one around here stocks boost controls at reasonable prices and it goes on on Friday to attempt a tune again.
  15. Retracted.
  16. Ok so were are down to 3 choices. Greddy profec spec 2, hks evc and eboost street. The greddy looks to be the most popular unit. Anyone running over 20psi?
  17. Thanks zorro. That's what I like to hear
  18. My high presure actuator from hypergear only holds 13/14psi, so it's about a 7 psi increase I need. Il go compare prices at Autobarn and see what looks better. I did like my greddy profec, it was just hard to set.
  19. Hey everyone just wondering what boost control everyone is using. I've had a greddy profec in the past and found it to be a slow process to get the settings right, Im using a turbosmart boost t for now but I'm looking at going electronic again. I'm stuck between the turbosmart eboost street and the hks evc. Thoughts?? Ps- IPhone = gayness and lots of accidental button pushing.
  20. It was at efi, they charged me $99 because they couldn't get the front shaft out (took me less then 30 minutes yesterday and I didn't even have a jack). So now I'm waiting to get booked in at hi power motorsport.
  21. Lol you linked this thread. Thanks. I've jammed a rag in there to make myself feel safer. I don't really want dirt and rocks getting on there.
  22. Ok got it out, now what do I put in the hole?? Ideas. I read something about a Coke bottle.
  23. Ok update, 15-20 minutes and the bolts are out, probably 10 minutes of that was trying to rolll the car around to get the last 2 bolts at the bottom, now how do I get the shaft out???
  24. yeah it sounded like they didnt want to do it, the moment they started working on it and decided they were not gonna tune it everyone went home as my car was the only work for the day. i'm actually concerned that something happened down there and thats why they didnt touch it because since i've picked it up it hasn't been running too well, i'm hoping its just the heat but i've had dodgy workshops do stupid things before. i think i read rb enignes dont like detonation, im guessing this is what your talking about. i was hoping to get it all tuned by now but it appears that everyone is either too busy or just doesn't want to touch nistune anymore. oh well i will pull the shaft out tomorrow and im sure that hi power racing and ben phillips would love to make some money doing the final tweaks on my ecu.
  25. That isn't the sole reason. Ps. I only damaged one and gave up trying, they killed one then decided oh we don't have the tools to do this.
