  1. How much for a series 2 manual stagea(same ecu as r34), hypergear atr43 SS-1 turbo, deatschwerks 440cc injectors, z32 afm and walbro gss-341.
  2. Anyone from Ipswich area coming on this? Want to meet up somewhere?
  3. The deatschwerks 440cc are $430 plus postage so I think il go that way. I will never run any of that fake fuel in my cars, and I can accept that my stagea is a heavy lump so 250 4wkw is plenty. If I want something quicker il just get a new car. The stagea is just my daily/ tow car so as long as it can tow happily I'm happy to drive it. My biggest problem for now is my 4000rpm rev limit. I can't wait to use the other 3000rpm again.
  4. Bleed valve doesn't really create any restriction, it just controls the wastegate opening, if the turbo can't make the air it just keeps trying and eventually fails. Just get a bigger turbo or highflow then get it tuned to suit. The stock turbo will be better then an r33 item but they still loose boost as rpm rises.
  5. Qwk32 if you can post a link or pm me a copy of the wiring diagram it would be greatly appreciated. Can anyone confirm how big of injectors I will need for 250kw? If 440cc is big enough I would prefer to save myself some money.
  6. I've got one but just be easier to hook up without it. If it's only for defect reasons you will only have it on there for a few hours.
  7. 23rd sounds good to me too, but just remember to not leave me behind. I can't go above 4500rpm.
  8. That's sounds fair. I with the prices pretty much the same I think I will get a walbro, just as I know they have a good rep. Just need to know if I need the inlet/outlet in line or 180 apart.
  9. There is some 600cc for $770 but I didn't think I would need them that big. Is deatschwerks the only brand that make plug in upgrades? I know that sard and siemons/deka are different plugs.
  10. What part number walbro is it I need? I've found the following at kudos motorsport. I can drive down there to get the parts which makes me feel a little bit better too. Bosch afm - $297 Afm plug - $33 Deatschwerks 440cc injectors - $550 Walbro in tank gss-341 or gss-342 - $121
  11. I was only leaning on it to see if i could get the boost below a reasonable level as I keep getting boost cut. It now set as low as possible (7psi) provided I don't go above 4000rpm. I was just curious as z32s are not the cheapest part to replace. Ok so shopping list - nistune type 4 board, deatschwerks 440cc injectors, z32 afm, wgnc34 to z32 afm wiring adapter loom, Will the stock pump support 250awkw or should I get a walbro/Bosch?
  12. Has anyone actually tried to run the stock afm with a higher boost setup? After my testing last night I noticed that even at 17/18psi it wasnt hitting fuel cut. It did start to ping from lack of fuel I'm guessing but it didn't shut down, just kept pulling. I might do the nistune and 440cc injectors first and just see how it goes on the dyno.
  13. Ok with the wastegate pinned open it is making 16/17 psi. Problem solved Wastegate too small???
  14. I'm in no way a novice DIYer. Most of my job is custom fabrication. The high pressure actuator gives in stable boost as the wastegate is held open. There is no vacuum out put on the turbo outlet so I have used the nipple on the next piece of pipe to the intercooler. Next point. It's got 6mm of preload because that's all the thread that's on there, at 3mm preload it barely had any boost. I only wish to run 10psi until I get the other parts. JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS. THE ATR43SS-1 THAT I GOT FROM HYPERGEAR ISNT CAPABLE OF LESS THEN 16/17 PSI. SO BEWARE.
  15. My boost gauge is reading 14psi when it happens. It's actually settled down a little. I'm wondering if I have a boost leak. On the way home from work it would gets the usual 7psi but from 4500 it slowly built up to the 14psi limit and shut down. Either it's a boost leak or there is a problem with the turbo. It is strange that it won't boost above 7psi until the boost creep starts. I will re install my boost control and see if I can turn the boost up to my normal 12psi. If it doesnt work il have to contact stao.
  16. He said there is no way it would reach that far. It's got about 6mm of preload
  17. It doesn't do it all the time, it's like the wastegate gets stuck open then suddenly jams closed. If you move the wategate by hand it does get stuck but where the sticky spot is it shouldn't open that far.
  18. It drives fine, it's getting a nice consistent 7psi until high in the revs then in a matter of 300/400 rpm hits boost cut 14psi so I can't go above 5000rpm when the cams hit and my car should be going its best basically
  19. My car is running now so when ever this happens I'm in.
  20. Sorry didnt put what one I bought, when I got mine there was one listed for the stagea.
  21. Ive got the small actuator on it now and it's as tight as the adjustment will go, it's running a pretty constant 7 psi but high in the revs it has a very sudden spike straight to boost cut so 14psi. It's very annoying as down low where you want the power it won't get full boost. I'm hoping it's just the actuator.
  22. I've got a jjr bellmouth dump. It fit perfectly except the bolt that can't be put in I snapped it off and never bothered to replace it so I didn't have that problem. Now I've got a hypergear turbo and I have to get it shortened because the turbo is longer and the exhaust doesn't fit anymore. Keep that in mind if you do a turbo swap in the future.
  23. Nothing wrong with it. Just takes some getting used to. I've been driving a 2002 camry and a 2001 turbo beetle for 4 weeks so yer its different.
