  2. I'm a little worried about how a .64 will perform on a 2.5. Everything I read says .63 for 2 litre and .82 for 2.5litre. . Oh well let's hope stao is right
  3. Ok I've sorted it all out with stao, I'm getting an atr43ss-1. So an intake pipe is gonna be fun then . I'm not looking forward to that.
  4. Yer stao recommended the s3 over the s2. And for the price it's a fantastic deal. If the one you have said about is it then that's what I'm doing.
  5. Well it's down to either the hypergear atr43ss s2 .82 - $price pending or the gt3076 hybrid -$2350 including lines. My main concern at the moment is that the hyper gear will have a 4" inlet ?? Or that's how it looks anyway, can someone confirm? If it does then il just get the hybrid. I'm not going through all that again. It's a pain in the ass to get a 4" inlet down to stock for the intake pipe without changing the bov return and the other breather pipe
  6. On the website it says it's $400 more so with gst that makes it about $1920. Is there really that much difference?
  7. Just got the reply from hypergear. Atr43 s3 .82. $1480 delivered. The test car made 303 on 20psi. I'm planning on running 14 around town and 18 at the drags. anyone against this? Yer after reading I think 250 comfortably will be fine.
  8. After looking through the rb25 dyno thread. The hypergear ar43 .83 and the gt3076 basically make the same power, and with a $1000 difference in cost I think the hypergear option is looking good. I always run penrite oil in my cars.
  9. I've narrowed it down to a few options now but here is the 3 options I'm having trouble choosing between. Hypergear ar43 - $1250 + gst and postage, hypergear hiflow - $800 + gst and postage, mtq hiflow/gt3076 hybrid $2350 bolt on. All should make similar power just not sure what will suit my purposes
  10. Some one has pointed out that a gt3076 will be rather laggy. Is it too big for a 2.5litre? Why did your engine fail? Am I dreaming thinking I can push 16/18psi into a stock rb25
  11. I can get a gt3076 for $1275 delivered but then I still need to add all the extras to make it work, as per the gcg kit for $2950. Gcg do a line kit for $375, and I can probably just buy a Garret exhaust flange and modify my dump. But what size inlet is on them? Will the stock intake pipe fit? And is the 20mm spacer necessary? I just see it as if I can get a bolt on 3076 equivalent for $2350 with lines that's not too bad. Is there really that much difference in the compressor covers?
  12. If I'm wasting money I'm not settling for less then 400hp. I have been told to buy a t66 but that may be too big. I dont think a highflow will be big enough. Has anyone actually been happy with a highflow?
  13. Yer it's sad isn't it. But I don't feel as bad as when she used to flog me in her celica. That was worse because it was a 1.8na. Atleast the beetle being a 1.8t I have an excuse. Lol
  14. Ok found a good deal, I give mtq my compressor cover and my wastegae actuator and they give me a bolt on gt3076 with lines for $2350.
  15. It's the law, doesn't have to make sense. Lol.
  16. Just thought i would correct this statement, straight from the super nintendo (intendant) of traffic. it's illegal to have a bald/flat spare tyre and its only illegal to not have a spare if you don't have an aerosol repair can. Another strange law that I wasn't aware of - If you have your licence suspended, when you get it back you are returned to your red p's for twelve months, for example, no turbos no v8s and no driving between 11pm and 5 am
  17. Can anyone let me know what the maximum boost is on the stock parts please, - boost cut 14psi - injectors ?? - afm ?? - fuel pump ?? Thanks and Laterdays
  18. i cant say that backspooling was the only cause as they werent my cars but ive seen 2 seized ball bearing turbos. happened at the drags.
  19. ive got a bellmouth dump so i cant use the dump that comes with it without buying/making a new pipe. zebra - when you spin a ball bearing turbo backward they seize. ive seen it happen twice. cre8tor - the beetle is quicker then my stagea
  20. sorry i added the wrong image code, thats my wifes car, was supposed to be the turbo still together lol. but anyway, i did consider that gt3076 from nz but its an extermal gated turbo and i cant really afford to shell out for a new manifold/dump pipe my dad is pushing me toward sthe gt3076 kit form gcg, and it looks like the easiest option aprt from getting my turbo turned into a 30/76 at mtq my only problem really with the gcg setup is i need to buy a new dump pipe as its a 5 bolt rear not a 6 bolt.
  21. i know that everyone loves disaster pics so here ya go
  22. Ok so after reading stuff I've got a list sorted out, rough prices if I find them cheaper that's even better, gt3076 $2950, z32 $300, nistune $800, sard injectors $???. I've already got a k&n panel filter ( it sucks the xmas tree clips and bonnet lining in so I might need a pod ) , hks 3" high power cat back/+ custom drift pipes if I want, jjr stealth front mount. Anything else I will need?
  23. It is looking like a good option, will it be big enough for 400hp?
  24. I don't want to buy a new dump pipe, I've just gotten it to a nice purple colour lol
  25. Chef - what exhaust housing does the 25/30 have?
