Chef I was looking at a few of your parts actually . Turbo, ecu, injectors, z32.

Ive only had a ball bearing turbo once and i didnt kniw it was ball bearing until i replaced it so it probably doesnt matter any way, If I can get it I would like to have 400hp at all 4 wheels. Other then that I guess I'm up for a nistune. Either way my wife is very very angry at me for breaking it again.

I was looking at the gt3076 kit at gcg for $2990 but not sure if it's worth the extra $1000

I get about 11psi at 3000 rpm and 5-6psi from 4500/4750 up to redline. But this week it hit boost cut a few times on the days it was below 10 degrees.

I was thinking sending it to gcg, $1955 for a ball bearing highflow. I know that ball bearing is bad if you backfire but yer I just feel better that way

ok here is the result, sheared the shaft and the turbine went out the exhaust, it dinted the o2 sensor and scored up the houseing a bit, also my front wheel has hit the housing and chipped the wheel a few time. no shaft play but very grindy/sandy sounding when i spin it.

My car drives perfectly fine just really slow.

Yer I have a bellmouth dump too. Is it hard to maneuver it out of the engine bay being over 3ft long?

I am still trying to get the dump off, i dont have a cat, if it came off it would have went out the tips. There is nothing to stop it.

ok not sure if i want to fix it so watch this space, i might just part it out.

yer its not going anywhere now, so yay more busted knuckles when i snap it.

Anyone got any ideas for removing the bolts in the dump pipe. I snapped one when I put the jjr dump on and now I've got one stuck again

No noises, it free revs as a 6 should. Kinda sounds like my bros torana. I can't remember if I could normally hear the turbo spin. Il have to drop the exhaust off and have a look I guess.

It is still running ok. Feels like when I blew an Intercooler pipe in my celica, that's what makes me think turbo. I don't think there was any other noises but my car has lots of random noises so I just might not have noticed. Smoke when boost should be. My wife said it looks like fuel smoke.

Cruising down the highway I dropped to 3rd to overtake and something went bang, complete loss of power and black smoke pouring out the exhaust. I had to drive another 5 mins to get home and i had to quickly swap cars to go to the dr so I haven't looked yet, my main question is do you normally hear your turbo explode?

Darrin is your car one of the 150 doing the piston vs rotary challenge? A guy At work with an rx7 is in it and I want some one to make him cry, he used to sit beside me in races then because he had an extend port with a t04 and couldnt beat me so he went and got a bigger port job and turbo. He keeps bragging and its giving me the shits cause I can't find a cheap neo turbo to get highflowed so I can just do a one day swap then get nistuned. Then flog him. sorry for the off topic

Does it have to be Nissan, can I bring my wifes beetle in that case?

I'm not a professional at this subject but my understanding is tuning is done at load points/rpm/throttle position so taking the shaft out shouldn't affect it that much as your tuning the engine not the driveline, I'm open to corrections but that's how I understand it.

+1. Smokey said it perfectly. Except for the falcon part. I've had problems with bending steering arms while towing in a falcon.

Why not go out and get a landcruiser 4t towing capacity just don't expect to get after market wheels to cover the 19" brake discs. But I've happily towed a few car trailers with my rs4s. Only problem was no brakes. But hey when you have brakes equivalent to non turbo skyline brakes on a car this big ofcourse things will go wrong

Sorry but I don't consider that to be no problems at all, it's a Nissan so it will always have problems aka manufacturing errors. Nissan = teh poo

I have a horrible vibration, it's either my gearbox mounts or my brake discs. Everything else has been checked. Good luck with it. I'm close to burning my car from all the nissan mistakes.

Lol no I've got a spare set. I killed the second set about 15 minutes after installing them . The brake place near me said that the cutting tip will just bounce off the hot spots . My original discs have cracks all over them too
