  1. Does anyone know what kind of discount gcg gives to sau members?? Mr hypergear if your reading can you pm me a price on a similar replacement. Just needs to be a direct bolt on, It will just be easier to get one from you as I'm coming down to Melbourne with my wife for our anniversary in a few weeks
  2. The relay approach is what I meant but yer deffinately not going to hook it straight to the battery. That is a good point I may aswell just take it to whatever it makes rather then hold it back. Now just to organize the parts. . Thanks everyone
  3. awesome, my wifes parents live at thornside so may stop in there on the way to theirs if it suits you one day.
  4. my views are that if it was ball bearing stock its going to stay ball bearing, so looks like gcg is the go. will everyone agree that a gcg highflow with a 1 bar actuator, bosch 040 hard wired and a nistune be sufficient to keep the car reliable?
  5. I have a set of 6 from my series 2. You pay postage and they are yours. 1 may be dead but they are painted red with electrical spray
  6. The $2000 is just for the turbo. Nistune is after I get it all fixed the one question I haven't looked into. Is the stock turbo ball bearing?
  7. just looked at pics of your car, totally diffrent rear bar so pics wont really help, where in brissie are you located?
  8. 1 - probably a while i love the car 2 - my wife or myself will be doing the removal and install 3 - really only want to run 1 bar and what ever power that makes will be fine but sounds like you have got it worked out pretty well how many psi were you running when you made 245 awkw, what size injectors, z32 afm??. what have you currently got on your car?
  9. i want real world experience and want a recommendation on where i should go to get a replacement turbo or get a rebuild. not after mass horse power but here is my current supporting mods 3inch hks exhaust jjr dump pipe splitfires jjr stealth intercooler kit k&n panel filter turbosmart type 3 bov (i dont think that matters but yer) im planning on running 1 bar with a nistune so its up to everyone on here where should i go.
  10. Our ctp doesn't change regardless of who we go through
  11. What kind of rear bar does your car have. Do you have pics and how much cutting is involved?
  12. Sorry I'm in Qld but I would love to only pay $400. I just paid 12 months over $800 sorry misread your post. Our rta side of it is about that much too
  13. just chasing a towbar for my stag to save on buying another car to drag my bike around. do i have to completely molest my back bar to fit one?? i had a quick read through the tow bar thread but there isnt really any pics that show what i want to see.
  14. Actually il be in Melbourne for my anniversary so how far from melbourne do you live?
  15. im running an exedy heavy duty, not recomended as it isnt strong enough to hold the enigne let alone tow anything.
  16. $16000 this week only
  17. will swap for suitable ute
  18. Il look into what's needed to make it fit but how much did you want for it?
  19. all i know is that the series 2 has a OP6 rear housing, what ever that means, its mainly just so i can bolt it straight in without modifications. im at the point where my stock turbo isnt broken but a guy at work is giving me the shits, so if someone is parting a stag id be greatful if i could get there turbo rebuilt/hyflowed and just give them my stock turbo once i get it on.
  20. i cant have my car off the road so i need to get a second turbo to send to hypergear to get rebuilt. thanks in advance
  21. i was just on the hypergear website and they have a few diffrent atr43 style turbos for the rb25 for $1250 has anyone got one of these?? how close of a direct fit is it??
  22. i know that there is a line where people like bb turbos and people dont like them, im on the side that doesnt like them. ive seen a few have malfunctions for silly little things like backfires etc.. i was considering the hypergear route but i cant really have my car off the road that long.
  23. yer i was looking at chinese style turbos, i never had any problems with the to4e i bought but yer i would deffinately prefer to go real if i can afford it. the coilovers i found on ebay are from just jap, its just there prices are cheaper on ebay then on there website. may have been the bcs i was looking at. darrinspencers thread is what got me worried about what im suposed to buy, i was hoping someone had found a direct fit. its not really that important to get rid of it just scares me sometimes, makes it feel out of control on hard corners as for your camber arms response that exactly the kind of info i was after, i would trust whiteline alot more then the others. i considered efi performance too just typed mercury, depends on what they are like when i go see them. thank you for your responses
  24. sorry off topic but i always thought the "V" is for auto
