  2. ive had the miss since i bought the car(it was stuck on 3psi, the intercooler put it back to the stock 10psi) so boost isnt the problem, but yer im going to assume its coil packs. hopefully when i get my check from just cars il get some splitfires(even though i should replace me rims so i dont have to keep reinflating them), i should have just got my parents to get them like they were going to, i only told them to get the cooler because i had a huge boost leak.

  4. its a pity you live so far away, ive got 8 of those rims. my insurance paid me out for one of mine in an accident($700 each they are worth to buy) and i found a bob jane near me had a set for sale so i bought them. i just wish i could afford rims that sat better. i found some nice rims yesterday but they were $850 per rim and it would be 12-16 week wait to get them custon made.

  7. hey everyone, i got a flat tyre yesterday and i had to use my space saver to limp home. but im concerned that i may have damaged something as the whole way home it was chugging like the diffs were locked in a 50/50 split and the front torque guage sat around half way up the whole time. should i be worried? i drove about 30km from work to home. i checked the tyre sizes and the spare is .5% bigger then my other wheels, is this to much of a difference? thanks for any help
  8. the only issue i found is none of the bolt holes line up very well,( the 2 bottom ones are close enough that you can bolt them, but the top one and the one on the longer pipe is no where near the holes, i used the supplied zip ties to hold it for now until i can get new mounts put on) and it sits on a weird angle, i bent my mounts to lift it away from the road and level it.
  9. ok everyone, problem solved, it was the intercooler. put in the just jap stealth kit and now ive got 10psi all day and no miss.
  10. yer they fit, i was playing my hilux the other day and the teritory rims fit but look shit because the offset is too shallow

  13. ok ive had a look into the thermo thing, a guy at work has got a thinner thermo in his auto stag, is it stock for the manual to have a bigger one??
  14. the 2 bits that stick out the front hit the cooler so it wont lift up. my thermo is too big so i need to take it out. and i bought the kit for a wgnc34
  15. hey everyone. just curious to see what everyone has replaced there thermo with and where you have moved your horns to. and also is it actually safe to cut the ends off the chassis rails?? next question is how does it fit?? what bracket goes where?? thank you for any info
  16. im not going to say names but i had a certain 3 letter named high performance car tuner charge me $500 to plug in an injector and claimed my ecu was too hard to use(haltech f7b). considering that my partner fixed all the f**k ups they did on the way home. when i drove out it wouldnt rev over 3000rpm while shooting flames and farting around. a few weeks later i got it dynoed just too see how close her tune was, not all that bad, 153hp from a 3tgte(1978 model 1.8 twin spark turbo, for those who dont know). after a quick clean up we got up to 186.5hp. suprising what ppl think they can get away with.
  17. i realise that someone has already asked, but has anyone fitted the just jap stealth kit to a series 2 with a standard front bar. did you cut anything, if so what was it? i dont want to cut out anything visible for the instalation if i can help it. thank you

  19. phil, i think i may have to be against the fuel pump thing im sorry. its just that the problem goes away with the new spark plugs every time. but lately it only misses if i boot it after cruising for a while. and chook if i was to get a toyota it wouldnt be a corolla. rather a jzx90 chaser. i was kinda getting to the point where i wanted to make a deal with some one who is only upgrading coils for performance purposes. like borrow there coils for a day test or what ever. thanks for the help everyone. after christmas i will know if the coils work.
  20. ok coil packs are finally on there way, i bit the bullet and conned my parentals into buying them for me. retracted - it is a wgnc34 thus rs4s yay for me (just out of curiosity, is there a way to tell what sort of stagea mine is?? what are the diffrences between rs4/rs4s etc..)
  21. XMETAL - you are exactly right, thats what it does. RB30DETT & TANGLES - how about i wrap the coil packs in tape then use silicon?? then you are both satisfied 66YOSTAGEA - i think its a valid idea since ive neva had any problems with any of the toyota ive owned or my father has owned, and they are known for their reliability and power.
  22. thats why i thought it was possibly r+r, and what i originally thought was a miss feels more like its stuck at certain rpms and is struggling to rev harder. so im guessing this is the "wall" that its hitting as mentioned earlier. kinda feels like revlimiter but a quicker space between bursts, for eg. rev limiter is like this rev..............rev.............rev.............rev, but this is like rev...rev...rev...rev. so yer. im lost
