  1. hey, i finally got an answer from the dealer. he has put in PFR5G11's. would this be the cause of all my problems??
  2. where can i buy the diagnostic cable and software to check the error codes, or is there a way i can do it without them??
  3. yer i was leaning that way, but my missus said she thinks the exhaust is blocked so what did i do. i ordered a hks exhaust from jjr. so if that doesnt do anything il try to get her to let me buy the coil packs, but the biggest issue is that it is still under the warranty from the dealer but they wont email me back.
  4. ok some more news. i took it to the dealer, they recon the spark plugs gaps were too big and they reset them. so yer it ran fine for 396km, then the miss came back. and now it keeps dropping into safe mode/low boost mode when it warms up. and it missing so bad that it feels like the rev/speed limiter. it clears some times and pulls on its massive 3-4psi but yer still nothing special. has anyone had any problems with there exhaust blocking up?? any one had any problems with the hks exhaust from jjr. thank you for any info

  9. well the way i checked is i blocked off the passenger side one and still nothing comes out the drivers side one, thats why i considered blocked. but after some thought, is it possible that ova a certain pressure it will actually start working to increase flow but still be quite at low speed due to not as much flow??
  10. joe26f you may be right, thats exactly what mine does, but if thats the case i think nissan are stupid for doing it, how has everyone been going about aftermarket exhausts, and are there any major performance differences??
  11. yer i do believe it may have been me. its all stock, i dont even think the wheels are aftermarket.

  13. hey, only one of my exhaust tips is working so im wondering if my muffler is blocked/causing some of my issues. so yer anyone in ipswich with a series 2 got a stock exhaust lying around,can i borrow the rear muffler. thank you
  14. none of the above, its been doing it since before it bought it. the guy replaced the plugs(probably the wrong ones), i havent had a chance to check yet. i just thought if i reset it i might actually be able to beat a a commodore off the line. im so disapointed in the slugishness of nisans. there should be no reason for it to lose to a straight 6 or v6. i would accept losing to a v8 but na 6s is sad
  15. ok it went away for a day or so and now its back. it also feels like the boost isnt increasing like it should. is it possible the ecu is running in safe mode?? how do i reset the ecu??
  16. it is fully stock as far as i know. i will check the boost control tomorrow, what sort of plugs is it suposed to have. it has actually improved alot by driving it more. like sometimes it goes fine. but ocasionally it will miss.
  17. hey. i just picked up my stagea and for some reason when ever it gets ova 4000-4500 it just starts missing and not wanting to keep reving, its almost like its hitting boost cut. ive seen somewhere on here that ova 4000-4500 the boost is suposed to increase, could this cause the problem??
  18. im actually glad u said not to use the greddy, i hate it and its hard to get setup right, thats why i bought a boost t. i was thinking a maximum 10 pound neway but just making sure its safe before i do it. im probably not going to do any mods except for gutting the cat. i kind of like the flaming exhaust thing at night. is there any companies that make a bolt on rear muffler, the one on the car looks horrible. thanks for the help
  19. wouldnt it be easier for me to just bolt in my greddy profec or a boost t or just ground the earth wire on the stock solenoid?, how much boost can i expect to run on a daily basis for a few years without any problems? up until now ive been a pure toyota person so i dont know much about nissan
  20. oh well i already knew i didnt have that stuff, i didnt want any of it. . im just really biased on power because of my last car.

  22. hey thanks for the quick reply, im pretty sure the boost solenoid is right but il check it with my automoter guage to be sure, the first thing im doing is dropping the cat and ripping the guts out. as for the full exhaust i dont think its much of a priority yet as the reason i am getting it is because i need to slow down, and be less conspicuous to the bacon patrol. also who do i need to see about the FAST thing?? my vin is 6U900WGNC34128353, can some please let me know what im suposed to have. thank you
  23. hey everyone, i am new to this forum but after reading through this and comparing the stagea i am picking up next weekend to what everyone has said it sounds like a good deal. its a black manual 1999 wgnc34 with 77000km, $21000 on road. the only strange this i have noticed is alot of the ppl on here seam to be saying that there stageas are quick, not to sound silly but i find mine to be quite comparable to my moms camry in power. is it just because mine is manual that it is so underpowered?? or have other ppl noticed this too. also ive noticed that my stagea has a panel with 3 guages in the dash-amps, boost and front end torque. is this stock?? the boost guage is from -7 to +7 but only gets up half way is this normal i thought it should get higher thats all. thank you
