  1. cooler than an R33 maybe lolz
  2. must have something do with the 31 being box shaped, therefore having more wind resistance and a greater cooling effect
  3. didn't you make a thread about taking the turbo off and everyone said DONT DO IT or was that one of the other 400 p platers who post these threads lol
  4. yeah but sitting there with the clutch in means that there's no engine braking being used at all, why don't you try putting your car in neutral and stop using brakes alone, then do it with it in 3rd (until it starts to cough lol)
  5. lol well to the OP, like I said, Fords have sucky depreciation, and the build quality is bad (found out the other day that you can't service the auto in the BA, you have to rebuild the bloody thing at 150 000km, don't know if this was rectified in later models). In regards to straight line power, I have seen a lightly tuned HR31 Passage w/ NEO HKS 2540 stock Stagea ECU and the usual FMIC, EBC and exhaust, beat a Force 6 with a flash tune and exhaust, mind you a HR31 weighs around 1300kg not 1500. XR6T would probably be the pick of the local product, but for me the build quality issues that Fords always seem to have would push me in favour of a Commodore (LS series motors FTW!) The V8 is definitely not dead - I've seen more VZ and VE SS on the roads than just about any other model lol
  6. you can only compare relative dollar for dollar terms here; ie 25k BA vs 25k R34. Bearing in mind that Falcodores depreciate insanely, moreso falcons than commodores.
  7. wild is one way to describe it lol
  8. OH HOW COOLZORZ lol a girly car what you mean a cefiro or something?@?!?1T^%&%*&^583
  9. brothersrice, pls stop spamming your website, other people have to pay to advertise here
  10. do you have your stock under shielding to help (air pressure in the engine bay IIRC), was reading something about this on the Datsun forums where overheating is more of a big deal lol
  11. Yeah was a little unsure, of course its illegal lol, and well 235/45/17 tyres don't seem to be too stretched on my 9.5" rims, was more of a concern about the bead rolling off the rim. Car's not really going to be used for any serious track work or drifting, more of a quick street car.
  12. my KKR turbo uses v-band clamps, now would I be correct to assume that I could use the v-band dump/front pipe I have with say a Garrett v-band housing turbo?
  13. ah yeah pretty sure what you're talking about now, thanks, had been really wondering about that due to the amount of dirt and moisture that seems to make its way up into there
  14. As per the title name, a mate bought some Federal 595RS semi slicks in the abovementioned size for his HR31, another mate reckons that a 40 profile is too small for the 9.5 wide rims he runs on the rear. He does have other rims if this is the case, anyone know one way or another?
  15. GTR-boy i find that incredibly ironic given that you are yet to gain your licence lol
  16. really hoping it dosen't get gayed up like the r34!
  17. nah it was nothing special either, when you look at it closely you wonder why Autech even bothered given the lack of anything other than a 'different' motor.
  18. bumpity bump for the same problem in my gts-4, blind elk what do you mean by 'spade connectors' how do they fit into the socket and you still have to extend the wiring into the globe - was going to try and chase down a plug with the wires still hanging out but figured it would be too hard to find one.

www.japaneseimportspares.com in adelaide have a big range of used rims and tyres, good guys there too, but its best to actually go there and have a look for yourself.
  20. no no you don't. Hakosuka, V35, aus spec R31 in that order the guys on that R31house video reckon the RB30S is a shitter lol twin cam non turbos are for the gays
  21. nobody wants to buy your shit GTR-boy FYI
  22. yeah slightly, gearing down is best, but at least with the clutch out at least there's engine momentum to slow you down too.
  23. with the prices of 3076 / 3071 turbos you'd be silly not to get one!
  24. the first time I threw a super drager type rear muffler on my straight pipe ( was called 'megaphone' no idea what brand), and it was kosher, second time went a second hand JASMA exhaust - thinking about buying another reasonably loud exhaust, and swapping over as need be.
  25. actually doozooby I've seen them do just that that many times you wouldn't believe. Usually if they have had me or someone else over for the usual harassment or defectathon, and some wankers go racing past, or someone starts lighting em up at the next lights they will chuck the licence back n tear off for some good ol fashioned impoundings!
