lachlanw wtf lol, where are you from? 'sex style' IMO seems to be more in line with the US 'take' on JDM styling. To me, to say something is JDM means that it was either a product which was not sold here initially, or as an adjective to describe as above, a car modded conservatively and tastefully, but still maintaining a sense of harmony throughout the car (ie not having 20" Dolce rims on an R32, or LMGT4's on a Celsior).

From my IT tech days it used to be 75 dollars for an initial inspection than a flat rate of 100/h plus any components like PSU etc. We'd usually replace parts if it was going to take too long to diagnose a problem though, due to the high labour cost on what is a depreciating asset.

seriously either do it yourself or get someone who's good with computers to have a look at it, not worth paying $100 an hour to a computer shop (unless they are cheaper in adelaide lol)

Is it really essential to have an exhaust with that large a diameter? I thought in the past when this was debated that it turned out that 3" was pretty much ok for everything, that it came down to the combination of cat/mufflers moreso than the pipe diameter itself.

I might be wrong but I thought that CSR were looking at more viable alternatives to making biofuels than growing crops purely for that end.

isn't MTBE also found in commercial 'octane booster's and injector cleaners? Whats the big deal about E85 apart from being a cleaner fuel and cheaper? Is the performance gained more than offsetting the amount used?

haha dude f**k me, have you ever driven a turbo skyline or any other JDM sports car!? It's not like there is 5000rpm of turbo lag there, even with aftermarket turbos (for the most part lol). You needn't be on WOT to enjoy having a turbo'd car, and a 'turbo whistler', is up there with those 12 volt blow off valve machines in terms of wankiness. Much moreso than a loud exhaust (which sound shithouse on N/A RB's anyway)

so basically either get it engineered or keep it on the downlow. TBQH, the only cop who's ever noticed my Microtech with dash display was a TMU cop who was worded up by the EPA tester from melbourne (who also knew what to look for in terms of aftermarket injectors, FPR, turbo etc). It's a pain in the arse, but I'm going the route of having a free flowing, quiet exhaust, boring looking turbo, and a standard but remapped ECU to avoid any more $500 EPA fines and to not give the police an excuse to defect or harass me. The easiest thing to do is to not have it stupidly low or insanely loud, or any garish bodykits then you're less likely to get attention to start with.

what are you getting at birds - most soarers getting around here have loud wanky atmo BOVs that are constantly going off lol. Even my mates MZ20 had one on, and it didn't take a whole lot of hard throttle movement to get it going (unless set to 'hard').
