I usually get waves from import owners (off a GBD WRX owner most recently), mainly cause they see the TE37's and assume that I'm (correctly) not your average bogan 'jumping on the bandwagon' Skyline owner.

not meaning to be offensive man, and I use the term 'wog' without trying to be racist, but it is young men of Italian descent in said HSV/FPV/XR6T cars WITH P plates on that blatantly flout the law rather than drive something a P plater is allowed to drive and getting away with it when full licenced law abiding types get BS fines and harassment over nothing for simply driving something that sticks out. When I got EPA'd, I just got a full 5Zigen JASMA spec catback - no noticable loss of power (two straight through mufflers), and quiet enough to be quieter than the engine noise lol.

I got a 500 dollar fine from a 'raid' when police patrolled the streets and made every car that sounded 'loud' come into a testing area with an EPA guy who then (as he told me) did every single car bar one for too loud and gave us all 500 dollar fines. Ironically the car before me was a bog stock Subaru Liberty with an aftermarket muffler lol. Couldn't believe that you could get slugged that fast like that. The testing officer's reason for the testing was 'the caravan park owners had complained'. Which is why I don't have much time for Vic Police / EPA, especially when other shit like p plater wogs driving HSV/SS/XR6T seem to get away with it for months and months on end.

well my experiences from living in a border region are: You used to be able to get both a Victorian AND NSW licence, effectively giving you double the points. IIRC, if you lost it in one state you'd just switch them over and continue on your way. I am reasonably sure that they have closed this one loophole. Over the course of my P's I gathered 6 points from the BS revenue raising civvy camera cars in VIC, none of the points carried over. My sister's BF is licenced in Vic, and got done in NSW for drink driving - I have seen the letter from Vicroads as well as a notice from NSW police saying that he is fine to drive in VIC but isn't allowed to in NSW. This was about 3 months ago too, so obviously its not all working in cohesion yet.

I had a fujitsubo twin muffler - they would be at least as quiet as stock. My 5Zigen twin muffler is also effing quiet - too quiet in fact, might pull it off and wait til the next defect haha. I wasn't fkn impressed with a 500 dollar epa fine for being too loud though, what a crock.

a mate has a 2 way Nismo and its a pretty chattery bugger, dosen't annoy me personally, but I guess some people wouldn't like it. Can't you get the viscous diff shimmed, or am I thinking of the R200 in the HR31 etc.

Based on previous experiences with Vic police, I daresay I'd be running the risk of getting into mucho trouble as well (I believe that ignorance is apparently not an excuse!) So i just keep doing left turns until I get where I'm going, or go on the motorway!

the first car I actually drove by myself was a beat up N12 Pulsar painted 15 different shades of red with a crumbling interior and 400000km on it, was a wicked thrasher, used to do flatshifts, handbrake stops and burnouts in it all the time, the old girl kept going (with a new clutch LOL) until the alternator went and dad decided that spending 300 bucks on a 300 car was too much and sent it to the wreckers when I was away the first car I bought was a 1989 phoenix red VN SS with a rebuilt motor, polished heads and street cam + straight through exhaust, pulled 160rwkw and was a very reliable, reasonably fast car for the next 80000km I owned it for (pretty much drove it until I got my full licence) second car I've bought is my R32 GTS-4, it gets treated with a lot more respect than the two previous lol, and I'm glad I waited until I was in my 20s before buying an import, it has its annoying quirks like every other car, but so far so good, most of the issues i've had with it are from dodgy mods and natural wear from being 20 years old.

you'd probably find that it came with it marc - a fair few RB20 powered Skylines I've seen have, since a few years ago remaps weren't as common and they always tend to run a bit rich.

Is there any advantage in using say Tein springs vs King?

then technically couldn't they fine a tuning shop who was tuning say a PowerFC on a street registered car if the car was then driven out of the workshop? Or would that just be the driver lol
