  3. I just wish mine was interested in cars made after 1975 lol. She's actually picked up a surprising amount of car lingo from hanging around with my mates and i, which means not having to explain everything ie a great relief

  7. mine was tuned at 245rwkw no FPR or other mods, standard RB25 injectors, and I've seen it hit max duty on my display several times at WOT in 4th, so I turned the boost down, however, everyone I've spoken to (ie mechanics) has said that adjustable FPR aren't worth bothering about and to just get new injectors / retune. Wouldn't that be safer than trying to stretch the limits of your current injectors?

  9. to me if you can afford to own an import / modified car, you can afford to put 98 octane fuel in it at least! It just never ceases to piss me off that though the price for unleaded can vary up to 20cpl, ultimate etc hovers around the 1.38-1.45 mark constantly!
  10. most of our local servos are Mobil, but only one sells 98 octane fuel @_@. I used to change the fuel filter regularly in the VN since they are such a piece of piss to change, and I'd originally thought that maybe all the crap in teh tank had filled it. I just couldn't explain how it would struggle to start with 20 bucks of plus ulp in, but run it down and put 20 bucks of Ultimate etc in it would be fine. I've had to use the United 98 in my R32 a couple of times in emergencies, apart from making the fuel consumption even worse it didn't seem to do anything too dramatic.

  14. AFAIK, United fuel is Mobil with ethanol added to it. the Plus ULP is the only fuel I've ever seen which makes a noticable difference to a car (my old vn would be really hard to start with that crud in it)/\.

  17. If you freely admit that you sell knock off parts, how can you condemn places like Nengun? Japanese parts aren't cheap, and of course people are going to try and get the best price they can. If you think there's any loyalty to 'buying australian' you're mistaken.
  18. yeah I have race tape on mine, and I even put a new bolt one one side cause it was starting to hang off a bit too much

  20. If the car is tuned right.. My Xforce cat got kinda shrivelled up near the back and blocked SOLID to the point where the turbo blew a chunk of gasket out due to backpressure this *may* have been due to running an ECU with no 02 sensor though. I ended up turning it into a 'race cat' for a huuuge improvement in performance. Would go a catco metal cat next time.

  22. really!? I was always under the impression that since it cut out at ~5000rpm anyway that it wasn't such a big difference! might have to reconsider that one lol
