  1. haha bugger that! The crunching does get REALLLY annoying after a while, especially when you get dickheads trying to give you driving tips as well about it.
  2. It's definitely NOT 15L in a R32 when the light comes on (least not in mine), its ~5L to the end of the tank!
  3. Yeah I'm starting to lean more towards the handling side of things, especially after seeing how much of a dramatic difference to how quick a car with a fairly standard motor can be!
  4. will likely not bother with Z32 and just go RB20 remap and ditch the VCT since I already have a stock RB20 ECU lying around.

  8. nah gonna sell it to some sucker with a dirty 30 or a rotary owner URAS: I thought that the type 4 board was only compatable with the NEO ECU? That's how I read the Nistune website anyway. Mine is a Series 1 Stagea motor with the old school RB25 and ignitor module.
  9. lol well the cheaper option of course is to do a S13 5 stud conversion and buy some S13 coilovers, JIC FLT-TAR were about $2400 at a parts shop about a year ago, just have to factor in the hubs etc. Japanese Import Spares in Adelaide sell a variety of kits for R31 5 stud conversions, try giving them a call.
  10. Yeah HICAS is already locked out, and I think it's an R32 thing to not have diff bushes, there was another similar thread not long ago about that... I've got alloy cradle/subframe bushes on the way, thank god, since the car is driving like a VN at the moment! I'm weighing up my options still - since I'm poor and can't really afford to replace all the individual components, I'm trying to get away with just doing what really needs to be done right now.

  12. yeah blipping the throttle on 4th gear downshift has become second nature to me now pity my feet are too big to be able to heel and toe it as well!
  13. I wouldn't be running E85 on a stock car, thats for sure. I'm also wary of E10 given that it eats rubber lines etc.
  14. AFAIK in the R32 GT-R has diff bushes and GTS-4 dosen't? they do use the same springs/shocks though. I was thinking a used subframe in good condition lol, labour isn't really a factor for me as much, but either way its gonna be a prick of a job - nearly to the point where I was thinking about selling rather than fixing, but with the current market for Skylines as it is I don't really think thats a viable option.
  15. IIRC a friend of mine used an RB26 pump on a neo with no hassles (can't quite remember but think that RB30 don't fit?)
  16. spose ill do a bit of an update; finally got a stock computer, threw it in, hooked up AFM... and nothing! I'd forgotten that the Microtech had a relay set up in the boot for the fuel pump so stock computer wouldn't prime! I'll be getting a mate to rewire it for me in the near future, then we'll see what happens...

  19. well apparently all the rear in mine are stuffed, and some in the front. I'm getting the cradle bushes first, and the others as I can afford them I guess, not really going for anything adjustable though (not sure just how much of the suspension components are common to GTS-4 and GT-R either), seems like it would almost be cheaper to get a whole new rear subframe etc!

  21. say you're buying it to strip paint as AFAIK that is its usual use.

  23. best mate just went and did a 5 stud conversion and used S13 JIC (can't remember if the rears were S14 or something like that though) with all the adjustments, pillow ball tops etc on his HR-31, still has the original HR-31 JIC's, but apparently you can't get new inserts for them anymore or something like that. If you really wanna save yourself time and effort and bother and lighten your wallet then R31 House is easiest option
  24. hmm well the ol laptop here is running 3 tabs with 100mb of memory usage, i'd thought i'd cleared the other one out of the virus it had, perhaps it is still there :S
  25. meh for the money I'd rather have a decent shock / spring combo (don't really care for adjustment on a street car) I bet they are harder than a cat's head lol, especially if someone was told that they are good only for track use lol
