    Ok so I ended up getting some alloy ones on Ebay, but it turns out that they are the ones which require dropping the subframe to put on rather than the 'slip on' type. The seller claims that they are a better long term solution than the slip on ones, but I'd thought they were all the same thing :S

    yeah I'm gonna give this bloke a go, for the price Burson's charge for a gallon of Redline Shockproof Lightweight oil I can get 5 quarts from performancelub.com! Fingers crossed this cures the crunchy crunch gearbox

    As much as I hate King springs, I'd probably be going those and Bilsteins over cheap coilovers. Even if mine were to die, I'd get some slightly lower than stock spring and Bilstein monotube shocks. Cheap coilovers aren't really worth it, I mean who adjusts their suspension on a regular basis?

    just go up ya drive way sideways like fully sick types do on speed humps, surprisingly it does help!

    depends on how low, front bar etc. I wouldn't be parking on the street, even in Essendon personally.

    for a daily, you'd probably be best off buying a run of the mill R32 GT-R and doing the usual preventative maintenence with teh price difference

    Lol well I paid $150 for a JASMA compliant twin straight through muffler 5Zigen exhaust to replace my old straight through one (I admit it needed about $20 worth of welding on the front muffler and rear hanger tho), but I can understand if you want something brand new on there. Would have loved a brand new Kakimoto catback, but $$$$$ was a factor (not to mention a $567 EPA fine which I got AFTER buying the new exhaust!)

    My Tein Type NA's have circlip height adjustment with 3 settings, it's hard to pick out but otherwise they look very much like an OEM replacement 'coilover'.

    Yeah I just bought some, thought may as well so I don't have to worry about them wearing out ever again lol!

    Yeah I was looking into the solid metal ones - a mate did this on his A31 and said it improved handling noticeably. It's also kind of important, since the bush(s) seem to be absolutely stuffed now (ie car feels sloppy in the rear all the time, getting axle tramp and a feeling of a loss of control when cornering too hard etc)

    My girlfriend has her heart set on getting one of those cool JDM from spoilers for her Datsun 1200 utility, would anyone on here know where I could at least get a price on one?

    All I can say is FARK THAT! I could be wrong, but with the 'shithouse' Ryco filters, I have no strange variations or delays in oil pressure (that said im going to start using Nissan ones for peace of mind) IMO if you're going to spend $50 on the filter, add that amount to what you spend on oil and use Motul 300v or something.

    If you're changing both mufflers why not go the whole hog and get a whole catback? That's what I did, to save time and effort cutting and welding again.

    if its out of warranty dude, I can pm you the guide that I used to repair mine, and its working fine albeit with the odd bit of freezing in GTA 4 to at least get a bit more life out of yours.

    Ok so basically one of my cradle bushes has been leaking oil, and the car seems to feel really sloppy in the arse end, especially around uneven surfaces on corners. Is it ok to just get solid bushes fitted (and adjustable camber arms), or am I going the wrong way about this? I don't care about ride quality, I just want maximum handling improvement.

    Any JASMA stamped aftermarket exhaust should be legal in terms of noise.

    do you think its wise to put information on a public forum on how to get around the steering wheel lock? Thats pretty bad luck OP, i've seen the same thing happen on a VS commodore before, and it was eventually broken into with a piece of wire. try lockign the doors with the keys in your hand at all times maybe?
