  1. dem islander genetics
  2. i had to laugh @ the local supplement shop selling a tribulus based bro supplement as Post Cycle Therapy though LOL, I suppose if you're that stupid you deserve gyno. I have no problem with steroids, but think people should at least admit when they are on them so that people can get some idea of what is a realistic result from being 'natty' vs supplemented.
  3. there was a study on intramuscular testosterone injections that showed that you can gain a considerable amount of lean body mass by simply sitting around on your arse too lol. http://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJM199607043350101
  4. yeah I was gonna say - people want to eat and train like the Rock, but they don't usually seem to grasp the fact of his other supplementation lol..
  5. no more of a tool than some of the shit people do with the cable machines! I began to read Starting Strength today, so far it parallels a lot of what Markos bangs on about. Good reading so far, and now I know why my squat is sucking a fat one - bar placement!
  6. what's the regulars opinion on doing these? http://startingstrength.com/index.php/site/platform_the_lying_triceps_extension
  7. been seeing a lot of these R32 ATTESA threads coming up lately, can't remember if I ever looked for flashing LEDs on mine. Did not help that mine had a Stagea RB25 motor and gearbox as well, car was a headf**k from start to finish.
  8. deadlifts, or bent over / Pendlay rows.
  9. yeah like I said it's more Rip's comments about physiology and nutrition that gets other experts riled up. I think if I was to be starting again from scratch, I'd start with Starting Strength. sweet Trozzle, you'll be a member of the home gym master race now!
  10. Starting Strength is a rather controversial book, especially with Rippetoe's approach to diet.
  11. you're not 'cutting' though are you Birds? The science seems to suggest that is when protein intake should be highest.
  12. I've got a fair bit of faith in Markos' methodology given the results that he gets out of people - so I'm not surprised.
  13. Which program is that one? the PPP one?
  14. Markos if you're still around, I had a couple of questions about the Beginners routine for you. Is it normal for my bench to still be quite crappy compared to my squat and deadlift - is this a sign of imbalance, and if so should I be doing any assistance excercises? Sometimes I feel like I'm running out of energy towards the end of the session - should I push through it even if I can't physically make the reps? (eating at a calorie deficit) Do you still consider your original version of the Beginner routine to be effective, bearing in mind that you said you've changed your outlook on some things over the last 5 years. I've dropped back to going to the gym 3 days a week and doing Tabata Thrusters on the other two, and I do regular deadlifts 5x5 instead of the stiff legged / RDL once a week.

  16. had the same issue with my old R32 GTS-4 with RB25DET and Microtech - was never able to devise a way to make it work, and mine didn't throw a light either. I tried doing the wire crossing for the TPS signal, piggbacking a stock ECU onto the old loom, etc, no luck. The only possible lead I got told about was the existence of a signal box to make the ATTESSA ECU independent of needing TPS signal from the engine ECU? If you ever manage to work it out please post up how you did it.
  17. well on the other hand, I did buy a whole Kakimoto stainless system for $150 on eBay, have you looked at that option rather than repairing?
  18. Streets of Rage 2 FTW!good pick Defari, banging track from GTAV! the videoclip here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrCFdHc7Z0o
  19. yep according to women and mainstream media, ottermode = "buff". f**k that.
  20. being Kakimoto, I'd assume that it's stainless steel. Should be repairable by a decent exhaust shop - I had a 5Zigen exhaust with a big hole in the muffler that was able to be patched up just fine!
  21. I also know this feel. Still can't get over my gym getting rid of one of the flat benches given they are some of the most popular equipment in the place, and reducing the amount of floor space so the front of the power cage is the only spot where deadlifts can be done.
  22. not much actual cookies and cream taste, tastes much like vanilla to me (which I like incidentally)
  23. just to clarify, i mean creatine is not 'natural' in that you'd have to eat an absurd amount of meat to gain the same amount you would via supplementation
  24. it's probably like the IFBB bodybuilders - they're all obviously on the gear, but no one likes to acknowledge it. I've been told that testing/not testing is why there are different powerlifting federations as well? (feel free to correct me there). Markos I know it's a touchy subject for you, but smoking and drinking only affect performance negatively rather than enhancing, so the analogy is not all that clear. I've got nothing against people who use whatever to help (as even creatine supplementation is technically not 'natural'), only those who are using and pretend that they got where they are purely from training and eating.
  25. I know that feel all too well....
