  1. Yeah should have added, I'd only tried my BOV when I had a boost tee hooked up, I have a EBC now.
  2. Well one would have thought that by now the Indian car makers such as Tata would have been able to grab more of a market share here with their cheaparse utes etc. I guess time will tell though.
  3. I'm sceptical about the impact that selling Chinese cars here would make, China is always going to be synonymous with cheap shit. Interesting comment about the US police car thing though, I imagine there would near be a f**king riot over there if their car manufacturers are all going up the shit and they start to import a shitload of aussie cars to use in their police fleet lol. Would be cool to see though.
  4. http://duke.a-13.net/ <- bet he's kicking himself. It's a shame that they kept restarting the game and treating their fans with such contempt by never releasing anything new between ~2003 and 2007, by which time most people had stopped caring about DNF other than the die hard fans. Realistically they could've released a seperate game for each engine change had they not been so pedantic about it.
  5. I liked this quote from the DNF forum the best; "John Romero > GeorgeB Diakatana came out and scored higher than DNF will. " lol.
  6. When I had my stock GTS-T one venting to atmo before I blanked it off, at around 10psi you could notice it venting and it struggled to make any more boost (set to 17psi at the time)
  7. Yeah I only just found this out then on the 3DR Forum, bitterly disappointed, I remember seeing the very first screenshots using the Quake engine, and always hoping deep down that they would one day offer a release date. I can also remember quite a few games shops taking pre orders back in 1999 hahaha. Guess I'll have to go back to playing Resistance and COD:WaW for my FPS hit for a while longer.
  8. Don't know about the rest of you, but I've been patiently waiting for DNF ever since I read about it in PcPowerplay magazine 11 or so years ago, and now 3d Realms has gone bust without warning, apparently they needed another(!) $5 million to finish DNF. Seems like "when it's done" wasn't such a successful marketing strategy in the end. The publisher, Take 2 Interactive has declined to kick in the $5million needed, but maintains that they still have exclusive publishing rights. From what I've read, the game was also getting close to completion, to make matters worse. I'd been a regular visitor to the forums in the anticipation of any new news only to find this out, I feel really ripped off about this, especially due to the amount of fans who stuck by the company who became the joke of the games industry. http://forums.3drealms.com/vb/showthread.php?t=35533 <- confirmation of the company closure on the 3DR forums.
  9. umm try google, but at a pinch, rear diff (mechanical on GT-R), diff ratios, bonnet, guards, wheels, brakes, gearbox, extra gauges on GT-R, interior etc
  10. haha, well what it uses more than 9L/100?! Dunno I'm used to around 15-16L/100 due to having always had a V8 then a RB25DET.
  11. fair enough, didn't come from R31House by any chance? I find the idea of a RB20 with a turbo that comes on song at >4000rpm romantic, but maybe that's just me... P.S OP: save yourself 10g and buy a RB30 bottom end, the odds of you being done for it are astronomical.
  12. "lol - i know how to drive - i dont wish i had Attessa at all " HAHA spoken like a true R31 driver! Btw, why why why no RB20DET-R?? Surely its better to have one big ball than two little ones! (+ unlimited street cred that can only be obtained from an RB20 + lag haha) I like the mighty 2JZ-GTE motor, but other than that the Supra is styled like a particularly ugly boat imo. That and the amount of P platers with them + gay chrome rims + neons and massive wide body kits which look ridiculous given that the rear tyres are cheesecutters are growing exponentially. They are about as rare as R33's these days (at least in this small piece of Australiana where I live).
  13. Yeah I'd like to know this too in case I get rid of my Microtech, because I've only got an RB20 loom in there as well. VCT is disconnected though.
  14. I dunno, insane prices for any Jap parts, especially engine bits seems the norm these days. I had a look and yeah a RB28 short block is $US14500! http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/_2003web-catalogu...-com-eng-e2.htm Oh and like you said R31Nismoid, the RB28 kit with just the rods, pistons and crank is around $10k including GST. http://hioctaneracing.com.au/eshop/product...products_id=599 Haha speaking of GT-R snobs, I was talking to one the other day, he tried to make me look like an idiot because of things not 100% in my car, then proceeded to try and lie and exaggerate about the cost of parts for his. Given that he runs a dodgy parts business, I wasn't impressed. Some of us do have more money than others and can love their cars more, buy a GT-R vs GTS-T and whatnot. There are also those folk who prefer the ole rear wheel drive. There's no reason to look down on those of us who only have a Skyline with one ball, or missing two legs. AND what about those poor misguided souls who have a love for ye olde R31's, all people like R31Nismoid can do is stuff a '26 in dere, and hope for the best, all the while wishing that they had some ATTESSA to go
  15. Kind of like the US Military's attitude about gays in the ranks; Don't ask, Don't tell
  16. wow that's pretty cool if it has a NEO motor in it! Lucky bugger!
  17. I was under the impression that the NEO (and moreso the non turbo!) motor was quite fuel efficient? :| Or is that just compared to a Pulsar lol.
  18. trolls, not feeding them etc etc
  19. I already posted linky to that same page fyi
  20. Have a look at the OP's posting history, he dosen't have a car to worry about yet let alone trying to reduce intake temps lol.
  21. Reminds me of that other thread about supercharging and stroking an NA R34.
  22. Haha well the one bogan here who did buy a GT-R did a big end bearing on the second day he owned it... Das Kamu, I think that applies for all imports! especially out in the country where most mechanics don't know or care about Skylines or anything else like that, and when you ask questions at parts shops they act like it's the same car as a VL lol. FYI a dude with a VK HDT and a XU-1 Torana told me he liked my car the other day so not all commodore owners are losers haha.
  23. I usually get and give waves to other genuine import enthusiasts (not just Skyline owners), but again the influx of a different type of owner, ie the VL Turbo set (I think the watershed was when an R33 GTS-T hit about the same price as a Calais Turbo) means that half the time I pull up at the lights and the other guy is being a dick and trying to race me while I'm trying to ignore the glare from his horrible 18x6 chrome wheels. GT-R owners are generally pretty cool though, I still find it surprising that there aren't really many bogans driving them yet!
  24. It is an insult to grace a VN wagon with anything other than chopped stockies...
