Sorry sinistaGTR didnt know there were rules that had to be followed when modding Skylines. Since you have such a mastery of Japanese culture, then you'd know all about how they deliberately mod their cars to stand out from the crowd and look unique. Bosozuku anyone? Can't say I've seen any vinyl wrapped, LED sporting Skylines lately.

the catleaps have dual link dvi.... been reading a fair bit about them on Overclockers, they seem to be the goods if you can live with the potential of a dead pixel or two for 1/2 the price of a U2711. Not sure whether I'd prefer a Samsung 120hz for gaming though.

got a spare 15k? lol. OP: Could be worth enquiring somewhere like the Castlemaine Rod Shop as they do a VL LS1 kit (not sure if there would be any common parts or not)

shutupandtakemymoney.jpg you guys are missing the real lulz here, the fact that all Windows Phone 7.5 devices have now been made obsolescent by a lack of support from Windows 8, I now constantly troll the 1 person I know who uses it about this. Haha SoFreshSoClean, do you post on MacRumors much, because you sound like that kind of fanboy. Apple were merely the first to successfully market what had always been more of a business niche type of phone to the masses, that is all. Much like how Apple did not invent tablet computing with the Ipad.

Dell mech keyboard you say... I just use the generic flat keyed multimedia Dell KB at work, had it for 2 years, best one I've used apart from the Das Keyboard one of my workmates got the other day, that thing was a delight to the fingers, and reminded me a LOT of the old IBM one I used to have years ago

got a macbook retina in at work today (of course one of the old 2009 ones has decided to have a mystery hardware error in OSX that makes it unusable at random, never eventuates in Windows gg Apple thermal management), whilst thinner, it's as heavy as our Dell Latitudes and the screen is f**king DARK on the default settings on AC power. The "retina" screen seriously does not look much different from a regular Macbook Pro unless held 15cm away from the face. I do love that they have made it literally totally unserviceable though (unless there is some arcane method of removing batteries that only Apple Technicians are privy to), even IFixit rate it a 1/10. The fact that that nearly all connectivity apart from USB needs propietary Thunderbolt connectors that cost extra is hilarious too. Hoping that I might get a chance to run HeavyLoad on it to see how hot they get these days! Also had a new Macbook Air in, it's thin, which is probably the best thing about it.

it's Wotaken brah, lern2japaneseculture no probs OP, sometimes I feel that there is too much negativity on these forums and a real conservative streak instead of encouraging people to do something different

if you liked it, you should have put a dose pipe on it http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=89365&highlight=make+VL+Dose

hey maybe instead of spamming the same generic pics of floozies, you guys could stop posting crap and give the OP some constructive advice? Serious amounts of fail on this page. OP: do what you want with your car, haters gonna hate. LEDs would look cool, I think the blue gives the best 'street racer' look personally, esp if you can thread some up through the front bar and intercooler. Have you thought about getting some vinyl wrapping on the panels for that real tokyo drift look? it'd be awesome!

my Z5500s are excellent speakers, however my G510 keyboard is kinda meh, think I'll go for a mechanical one next time

epic lols @ the teardown of the 'retina' macbook pro, gg at glueing the farking battery into the motherboard and soldering the storage and RAM into the motherboard you idiots. Also lols @ no Mac Pro / Imac / Mac Mini updates.

Being Sent To Epa, What To Do With Current Exhaust?
bozodos replied to S3RK's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
please leave it stock for the sake of the ears of everyone ta -
read your build thread, quite fascinating and kudos for doing it differently! have you thought about shiteloads of comp + methanol perhaps?
-
tbh I was quite farking mad that my 460s were only current gen for ~10 months, then the 560TIs kicked the shite out of them in BF3 etc

i have found that the windforce cards aren't much chop for SLI, was awesome when I had 1x GTX 460 though. Might go MSI for the 670, only because they always seem to clock a bit harder than the Gigabyte for much the same price, but time will tell.
-
definitely gonna get a GTX 670, will more than power my one little 1080p monitor!
-
you deserve that for owning a Windows Phone LOL. Dani Boi: I could go on allll day about it, it is ironically mac users who have mainly made me hate them so much

I'm not going to argue that Apple plays to the lowest common denominator with everything they do, its moreso the complete unwillingness to admit f**kups ever, and encouraging people who buy Apple to act like elitist dickheads. Spend 10 minutes reading the MacRumors forums to see exactly what I mean. Also google "reality distortion field". Steve Jobs was all about removing control (and therefore freedom) from the user and having everything carefully stage managed. This is why despite not being able to make it illegal, Apple are quick to patch over any jailbreaks that become available for iOS. Even with their PCs, they remove as much upgradability as possible. Macbook Air with non replaceable SSD anyone? (which means that in 3 years it will pretty much be rubbish), Imacs that are extremely hard to pull apart, and are designed to be as user unfriendly to upgrade as possible (i.e HDD lives in the centre of the mac and requires screen removal and motherboard out). This is also why they run a totally useless EFI instead of a BIOS / EFI BIOS; the user cannot make any pre OS adjustments to the hardware either. I do however love the ironic twist of them shitting on the professional market who initially made them popular, with the dumbing down and feature removal of Final Cut Pro X, dropping the Xserve, removing management features and refusing to support Active Directory properly, a Mac Pro lineup using 3 year old hardware that still shows no signs of refresh etc. Itunes on PC is seriously one of the biggest pieces of shit software I have ever used (not much better on OSX). Randomly deletes your backup, shits files all over the user profiles (pain in the arse in environments with roaming profiles like ours), and you can't even gracefully back up content from the POS to do a PC changeover / reformat. This is why my iPhone only ever touches the admin mac at work. Even in a home environment, I cannot see any actual benefit from owning one, unless you like to feel like a twat.

most of what i read has been of concern only by those who overclock for the sake of overclocking, not to run 24x7 OC for consistent performance. Meh integrated PCI-E 3 and Sata / USB 3 makes it worthwhile IMO
-
i also love it when a mac breaks and the user asks me if the "network is broken". no it hasnt broken, your piece of shit has.

pretty sure MSY got taken to court over their warranties LOL

LOL ^ disclaimer: I work in IT and unfortunately we are forced to run about 50 macs for art phags because they are "industry standard". hopefully with changing times ahead this might be reduced. where do I start with Macs, aka baby's first computer, aka pcs for iDiots. To start with they are designed with form over function; the last Sandy Bridge was hitting 98 degrees due to lack of ventilation LOL. I've also had 4 2009 imacs die lately from overheating, pretty much at random, requiring a GFX card replacement. GREAT build quality there. Neither Imacs nor Macbook Pros have adequate cooling, and the all in one form factor is a compromise at best, headf**k at worst. The keyboards and mice are beyond bad, seriously are they developed for people with no coordination or ergonomics at all? Shiny screens are seriously the stupidest thing ever, glare like a bitch and get noticeably dirty extremely easily. I also do LOVE the irony of $3k laptops that come with 5400rpm HDDs, and $3k iMacs with regular HDDs too. Probably because their target market is the too lazy or too stupid to make an informed purchasing decision (in addition to brand whores and pretentious dickheads). OSX is the biggest POS excuse for an operating system I have ever used. Those who tritely claim it never crashes are full of it. At least it's fairly straightforward to get data about what actually broke / recover the session on a pc unlike the endlessly spinning beach ball. Their management features have actually been going backwards in each successive version of OSX (which in itself is being steadily iOSified). The OS is inherently less secure than Windows (I LOVE it when people try to say "oh but macs dont get viruses"; thats because they've never had the market share for anyone to bother ffs), but at least Windows 7 these days is kept up to date with security patches, and Microsoft actually tell people when a vulnerability is found. The main Adobe apps that most Mac users want / use run the exact same on a PC. Fair enough if you use Final Cut Pro, but even that's been dumbed down; the new industry standard, Premiere, is cross platform! I have yet to have a mac user give me a legitimate reason as to why they are a) worth the ridiculous price and b) perform any better or as good as a pc of the same value. I do tend to find that they are the utterly pretentious "hipster" types who find it arty to print out year old memes that they have found on Tumblr and are also twitter users. I also hate the non upgradability and the way Apple tries to lock you into their ecosystem. That said I do own an Iphone that never gets connected to the POS Itunes.

disagree Ash RE: too hot for volts, a mate bought in IB i5 and it overclocks like an absolute charm with a corsair H80 self enclosed loop! dont know if I can be farked getting one, really hanging out for the 670 to be released moreso.

What Is The Best Sounding Bov For R33 Gtr?
bozodos replied to BCNR33GT-R's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I used to love my old Turbosmart Supersonic, had a cool schh schh schh sound between a vent and a dose. Problem was though, literally EVERY time I got pulled over, the cops would either pick on or notice it. Ended up going to an ARC which I also had VTA, didnt sound bad either. This was due to my cooler piping not being stock and not having anywhere to recirc to and my own laziness in not rectifing this lol. Also wasn't running a MAF -
damn, one might even go as far as to say that they were under engined? Surprised there isnt anyone rocking an RD28 diesel HR31 in here lol
