yeah apparently they released a client side update to PB which not all the servers have yet, hence the kicking. In regards to the GFX, I think that maybe having MSI Afterburner running is causing my issue, but fark, I haven't had this many problems with a game since trying to make Call of Duty 1 work with my old ATi

might as well wait for Ivy Bridge at this rate - and SSD's are totally worth it! SO sick of being kicked from servers at random despite manually updating my PB, also found a new random graphical lockup. f**king frustrating that I can't even play a couple of hours of it without something f**king happening, it's really wrecking it for me

haha oh dear, thats what happens when I'm lazy and don't check it out for myself! Thanks for the heads up, no I don't use default admin pwords, and I use Internode's port blocking anyway (for automated SMTP, SSH, SMB/CIFS etc) however my IP is static, so think I should be alright!

haha I was wondering why you keep playing the Russian version Madaz! Turns out that something to do with my GTX 460 SLI setup is causing an issue; solid as a rock on one card! Single player is pretty good, but too scripted for my liking, multiplayer is fkn AWESOME! (would have liked more destruction but I guess there are limitations to that)

just lifted this from the OCAU thread, and have gotten it working on mine for early access: Control Panel -> Internet Options -> Connections -> Lan Settings (Bottom of the Panel) Tick "Use a proxy server for your LAN" Address: 210.107.100.251 Port: 8080 Click Okay. The via ORIGIN start BF3 and it'll unlock. Then untick "Use a proxy server for your LAN" and you are good to go.

ill be there gaiz, usual tag of bozodos on Origin it's not out for Aus yet either, if you're that desperate you could VPN to South Korea or something like that just installed the newest Nvidia drivers for it (since the beta ones were making my machine hard lock up in everything!)

fact of the matter is, even a low - mid range pc can pretty much play anything with a higher graphical detail than consoles. Case in point, I played Modern Warfare 2 on my PS3 on the weekend, controller issues aside, it looked f**king woeful after coming from the PC version! I find that the PS3 is better for when I just want to kick back and have a quick GT5 sesh than serious FPS or RTS/sim gaming.

go ask at a computer shop to see if they will give you an OEM copy of the relevant OS, or if you know someone in an IT department somewhere.

oh my CPU sits on 45 or so, are you on a C2Q or something? also still running on 3.8ghz. I'm inclined to blame the fact that I have Gigabyte cards with non reference cooling being close together

LOL NOOB RAGE. GG at judging it on it's beta you r tard. I thought it was a POS the first day, but it's really grown on me, and shows how far they've come since BC2 in terms of both gameplay and visuals. That said I've had to drop my voltages on my cards as well as the core clocks on them as it thrashes them as hard as Furmark, first app I've seen to do that. Kept having hard lockups until I did, and both cards sit on 63-69c! I can't wait for the full game even more now

exactly It's a pity though, we have a heap of old 1 and 2 RU Xeon servers that are sitting under benches for this very reason - they are outdated but impractical to sell, and not able to be used in a home environment (without a lot of stuffing around with racks, cooling, soundproofing etc)

tbh i will be expecting it to look woeful on PS3 after PC lol

bunta: many external hard drives are formatted with FAT32 so as to have Mac compatibility usually. Dani Boi : FAT32 has a limit of ~8TB, however the individual file size cannot exceed 4gb.

bloody beta decides to keep hard locking up my system now for no f**king reason at all, none of my temps are going over normal, defaulted all the graphics settings back, though I am using the beta Nvidia drivers.

i meant for the open beta lolz. it looks awesome, but gameplay is a bit more like MOH I've noticed - 3 shots and you're dead most of the time!

beta is still pretty rough, just wait til friday

best bargain evar - picked GT5 up for 35 bucks and changed my opinion of the game totally

agree with playing the game being a chore - somehow they managed to totally stuff up the game dynamics.
