  1. you're still paying a premium for the hardware... I hate Macs for a number of very legitimate reasons. The OS is the main thing though. The Macbooks aren't an inherently bad package, but it's kind of pointless to buy one with the sole intent of putting Windows on it, unless you're getting it cheap.
  2. if you don't know what you're doing, get someone else to do it (ie putting hard disk in another computer). Chances are in a computer that old, it's an IDE hard disk, most modern computers have done away with an IDE controller completely in favour of SATA (depending on chipset etc)
  3. im surprised you missed out on commenting on fail ebay turbo too lol
  4. do you have another PSU availible to eliminate the possibility then?
  5. hahaha way to encourage more cop chases, third strike, well you know the cars going to be crushed, you're going to be f**ked anyway, so who cares!? nice to see VicPol being reactive instead of proactive lol
  6. checked connections to monitor and computer? (i work in a helpdesk and this happens more often than you'd think!) Also, what brand of PSU is it? I had a similar thing happen when trying to cheap out on a computer I was building and using an Ebay PSU, piece of shit also ended up frying the cheapass mobo I had gotten LOL. lesson learnt there!
  7. give it a clean and underclock first, sometimes can be a f**ked fan on the video card (easiest way to eliminate is to try a different one). For example, I've had my 4830 overclocked for a year, but started to get artifacing and freezing in games. Underclocking the VRAM clock 20mhz fixed this.
  8. btw maybe your overclocking is the cause of BSODs?
  9. doafarkenburnoutyacarnt
  10. you'd be a total homo to try and pass off an RB26DETT GTS-4 as a GT-R lol. RB25 is a good idea though, but good luck finding one!
  11. save time and just shoot them?
  12. ^ true that, no matter what I do with mine I can't get them to align straight. Even if they were the light is still shithouse
  13. most of the above do reletively decent deals on custom made systems (if you don't care to learn about computer specs, cause you can usually do it a tad cheaper or with better parts if you spec everything yourself)
  14. Haven't noticed any Foxxcon stuff in any acer's i've pulled apart, but jus sayin nonetheless
  15. Dell use Foxxcon components LOL (but then so do Apple) yeah I know the subcontractor tech quite well now as I do all the warranty calls, love someone else having to do fiddly jobs like dissassemble laptops! their ProSupport is awesome and actually has aussies who know what they are talking about in their call centre!
  16. the thing with a club lock is that it slows the f**kers down. I use one on mine (a decent $60 dollar one) in conjunction with an immobiliser and loud alarm, due to the amount of abos who steal cars around here (including my old mans). Also have floodlights in the front and back yards.
  17. yeah we have them here, they are all also coincidentally, artfags. Nice OS that needs third party software to work in a domain LOL. I've yet to see any real reason to choose it over Windows 7 (given that all Adobe programs are in fact more stable in a Windows environment. and there's nothing really mac exclusive that's worth getting one for!) Yeah to be technical, you're right divvy!
  18. how are dyno results going to prove anything? AFAIK: the better cooling in your intercooler (from having more fins or being a bar and plate type) the less airflow to the radiator. That said, what is wrong with the cheapo ones?
  19. any old cheapo one will be fine, only silly flamin mongrels pay top dollar for Jap intercoolers (this is about the one and only part lol)
  20. Used to read Street Commodes back in the day, but they kep on recycling phrases in the articles about feature cars to the point of cliche! That and the VL obsession lol
  21. haha OSX is hardly fancy, it's a hipster front end for Linux IMO
  22. haha there's no such thing
  23. you'll want either a RAID or SSD and SLI video cards too
  24. you never post pics tho humbla
