  1. it may be the absolute letter of the law but have you ever seen anyone get dicked for it?
  2. R32 GTS-4 + Stagea RB25 + ?????? = PROFIT
  3. ummm you can eat and drink in a car? I smoke in cars, tbqh it's no more distracting than adjusting the volume on your stereo, perhaps they should ban those too? (goes hand in hand with then offensive use of a motor vehicle thing LOL)
  4. yeah well even the i5 is in that sort of category, hence my thinking that by the time you replace a processor, that you're going to want to do the mobo anyway! I've gotten 3 years so far out of my LGA 775
  5. depends on when you think you'll need to upgrade again, and given that, whether you'd replace mobo as well (therefore making socket issues a non issue) mmm I'll get a 5850 when I eventually get a new PC (unless there's a new range out lol)
  6. you heinous criminal!
  7. The VN is faster cause 99% have had the intake restrictor removed. I've yet to see a 'fast' N/A R33 lol. IMO they are posemobiles, that is, until people notice the 4 stud and droney exhaust not rooofl
  8. thanks for the heads up Graeme, but jeez this revenue raising has gotten out of control (can see the point of big fines for drunk f**kwits though the definition is very vague)
  9. you don't really need an i7 for gaming i5 will do fine, as especially in lower resolutions, the GPU appears to be more of a bottleneck. Also from what I've read you're much better off spending the extra cash and getting a 5850 vs a 5830 I'd go one of these http://www.scorptec.com.au/system/109 with a 5850, that's $1500 well spent. It can be cheaper to mix and match parts, build it yourself etc, but generally Scorptec have really good service and their machines are well built in regards to cable managment etc. It also has an i7 oh yeah and that stuff you linked to is pretty much ebay crap. Asrock mobo? 4350? EWW EW EW
  10. fastest commo v6 is the VN and they got slower from there jonoe
  11. what a VN? yeah I'd agree
  12. You could probably play Counter Strike on it LOL
  13. Yeah I miss those. Getting some pretty cool achievements lately, like killing two people with one bullet and killing another scoped in sniper lol
  14. I got some 800mhz RAM and an E8400 lolz, next year when I get put on permanent (I hope) the boss will buy me a new leet gaming rig so therefore I'd be rather foolish to buy a new computer right now. I only have a 22" monitor so there's nothing really that cripples it apart from running Supreme Commander 2 maxed out with 5 other people online
  15. My old VN showed fuel light and 40km in the tank remaining, it was pretty damn spot on! Whereas the R32 fuel light means fuel up in the next 5-10km or I will die
  16. that's pretty debateable from a speed aspect lolz. HOONDAs are where it's at for the p platers
  17. to quote another member, if an RB20 is true romance then an RB25 is like sleeping with your best mate's GF, and RB30 are for those who prefer rohypnol lol
  18. Haha no no you don't N/A owners who think they are fast make me lol. I've seen them get pwnt by stocko VN's LOL.
  19. try posting some content instead of spam
  20. 'swifty' compared to what?
  21. hmm dunno how you'd upgrade the video card on a laptop, all the ones I've ever seen are integrated onto the motherboard lol. Check out the minimum specs and cross reference to the gear you've got to give you an idea whether you're underpowered or not. The one other thing I have seen on XPS laptops is that sometimes Windows causes them to 'throttle' the GPU clock when using it for games. One of my workmates found this out when he couldn't work out why Supreme Commander 2 was so laggy to scroll lol. EDIT: i just noticed that it lists your video card as being a Radeon Mobility 3450 - my work computer has the desktop equivalent lol. It's not much of a games card at all. This is probably where your problem lies as far as I can see
  22. rowey, harden up, tune it up, and you'll be sweet mate
  23. I would suggest having a look on the R31 owners club forum, since I know that a number of HR31 Passages came over here with the RB20E motor variants. It's all well and good to do something for the sake of being different, but if you're going to the expense of sourcing heavy parts from Aus / NZ you may as well go for a twin cam motor anyway! lol
  24. Case: ANTEC Midi Tower (dunno the model name has a side pipe for CPU cooler tho) Motherboard: Gigabyte w/ Intel G31 Chipset (3 years old but still goes alright!) CPU & CPU Cooler: Intel E8400, stock fan (mobo dosen't support overclocking unfortunately!) RAM: ATM 2x 2GB Hynix 800mhz, will soon be 2x2gb Corsair 800mhz Monitor: Benq 21.5" Graphics Card: Sapphire 4830 overclocked to 4850 spec HDD(s): WD Caviar 320GB OS Used: Win XP Home Also have a Dell Optiplex with Q9400, 4GB RAM, 160GB Seagate disk, ATI 3450 on 2x Dell 22" Ultrasharps as my work rig, goes alright on Win 7 x64 though it chokes up at times with the amount of multitasking I do, think it's about time to upgrade to an i7 equipped 980
  25. give us your service tag like we asked! and if it's a laptop it'll be on the bottom. It may be a simple case of you trying to run the game on an under spec'd machine
