  1. should put your story in the 'why rotors suck' thread LOL
  2. I always put in 36 psi as reccommended by the tyre shop.
  3. nissan gtr you obviously weren't on Calais Turbo LOL
  4. I was thinking more from the need to use less boost to make similar power as a regular highflow, but I'm glad that's cleared up. I had the wrong idea, thinking that the 3076 CHRA in modified RB25 housings could make similar power to the more expensive Garrett.
  5. LOL well it is practically a 2 stroke
  6. well funnily enough my best mate used Nengun to buy Splitfire coilpacks cheap, we were thinking they would take like a month to get here due to the posts in this thread, they came from f*kuoka Japan to Mildura in literally 7 days. I was astonished at the speed!
  7. it might make you feel better
  8. so basically you're saying that GT3076 CHRA stuffed into non Garrett housings is a waste of time?
  9. 8.5 is kinda skinny for an 18 inch wheel, have you thought about 18x10?
  10. they did have HICAS though
  11. here's another one best use of scripting i've ever seen in a game ;P OFP fans will love this shit!
  12. haha there's no boxes under my passenger seat Ash, only an air vent! Some HR31s have an air compressor type thing under the seat to pump up the bolsters, that's about the only thing I can think of
  13. well if you're going external gate wouldn't it come with a garrett housing then?
  14. thanks scott, yeah soturi it's fkn complicated, a mate is looking to buy a 3076 and I will be at some point too, we've worked out that we want internal gate and .82 rear, I was interested in the Hypergear one to make 250rwkw, he was more after 280-300rwkw so he might end up going for the Garrett.
  15. it would be lol to see a VLT RB30 dose rig in Japan, and yeah there was a writeup in a Street Commodores mag about 2 years ago about a guy who was importing brand new utes there, apparently they love em?
  16. yeah but he's not gay either y'know
  17. that would be teh Awesome Control Unit that every R32 has nah more than likely HICAS computer, mine has two boxes, can't work out which is the ATTESSA and which is HICAS
  18. hehe that does look sex, I like my ride height lol, no scraping on speedhumps or police attention for me! I actually like it that height, no scraping on speedhumps or police attention for me, and if I park too close to teh kerb, there's about 2mm of clearance to the front spoiler lol. I would have thought that if I get the fronts to stick out further, that I'd have trouble with it fouling on full lock etc ^_~ As it is, the exhaust just clears 10cm, don't really have much fine adjustment re height, the coilovers are only circlip adjustable! More concerned with handling tbqh.
  19. RE: dirt in the engine bay etc. Due to living in a country area which is windy and dusty my engine bay is f**king filthy now, and I've only done about 20000km in it from when it was clean as new! It's really bloody hard to get it all out, especially around rubber seals etc.
  20. too much effort haha, yeah I'd never use slip ons, an R33 here had a wheel fall off due to having fark all thread and having the wheel nuts come off LOLZ. Here's a pic to show fitment as it is currently :
  21. these threads are the cancer which is killing SAU BTW pretty much every single person I know with a motorbike has either broken bones or sustained severe soft tissue damage at some point, regardless of dirt or road bikes. It seems to be more of a question of when rather than if.
  22. needs moar interior haha
  23. ye, well I'm not about to go and buy 2 more TE37s just for the sake of offset, though I think I'm going to have a problem when my ATTESSA is working again with having staggered fitment anyway blah
  24. weld the head n shave it to get a bit more compression? gee if you're getting a new head, may as well go the whole hog n get an RB30 bottom end....?
  25. so could someone who knows the most please explain the differences between: the hypergear 3076 with the .82 housing bolt on the 'real' Garrett article the AVO turbo mentioned above and the Horsepowerinabox 3076. It's all quite hard to get your head around if you're not a turbo expert, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to know which one is best for what application!
