  2. turbo 30 would go better than a 20 for skids. converted a mates 34 to manual for the cost of a halfcut ~3800. But we got a second motor out of it (and brakes, and turbo etc)
  3. I think he was talking in a workshop? But yeah no way a 31 is gonna cost you 3-4k to convert. I know how to do a manual conversion but I've never done a 31 before. If you know someone whos done a 31 at some point then I don't mind lending a hand.

  7. How many "prongs" are on the clutch. So the 5 puck has 5 "prongs" hard to explain. Just google these questions the answers are easy to find.

  13. I asked a family member that works at a panel shop and used to own their own. After washing the cars they ALWAYS take them for a test drive REGARDLESS of what panel work has been done, this is just to mkae sure its all running smooth when given back to the owner. So when you consider one side of an industrial to the other and back or whatever 2k isnt that far off the mark. It also explains why they said they didnt take the car anywehere. There we go, now everyone can unbunch their damn panties over this issue.
  14. So heres my question. Nissan Navara 87-97 Leaf Springs, to make these coilovers you need to: a) put in a subframe out of an s13 or similar, extreme fabrication and hard work b) Reinforce shock mounts and put in coilover setup where they were mounted. Ideas, and information required I have no idea of the work required but a mate was thinking about it. Cheers for any info provided.

  18. I can assure you, the switch makes very little difference to the driveability on a 32.
  19. Seriously, avoiding the workshop at all costs is a bit harsh, especially advertising it on a public forum, thats alot of business a company could potentially lose over what? Nothing.

Depends what the guy wants and how mechanically knowledgeable he is, my 32 has had a few things go downhill on it. i.e. clutch/coilpacks/found some rust I fixed these issues cheap due to people i know and what i can do myself, wouldn't of been the issue if it was someone else who doesnt know anyone/cant do anything themself. Down under auto in Wangara has the most mint32 I've ever seen in my life for sale atm, factory weather shields and shit, mats are mint same with paint and that. If your looking at a 32 I'd go buy that one. He has a Gt-R or two down there as well. Whilst in Wangara, Distinctive Car imports has a few 34's and 33 GT-R's that are close to your price range. In reality its hard to know what you like, but as a rule of thumb, the less you know the newer you should buy, also dont get anything with a 26 in it if you dont have deep enough pockets to fix it should the worst happen.

  22. Seriously, Dirt Garage is on the money, I can guarantee they went to go get lunch or something in the car. If your car is that precious then do your own shit, seriously this is a joke. None of us own Ferraris/Lambos, shit most of our cars are worth less than 20k. Flame me if you feel like it but this sort of thing almost always happens and quite frankly the only way around it is to do the work yourself. And this whole omg he could of thrashed it thing makes me laugh as well, Ive hit limiter in my car, is the motor dead? no. would it have caused much stress? Doubt it, shit maybe a bit.
  23. 32 GTR looks hotter than a 34 GTT any day of the week . Id got a 32 GTR for an "overall handling experience" or whatever it is your touting. Dont forget to budget in a bit of cash for fixing the things that break every couple months, it can and does happen.
