  1. Topic title says it all, has anyone played with photosynth? www.photosynth.com It's all pretty interesting, I noticed it when I was watching videos on ted. Speaking of which www.ted.com has some of the most interesting, and revolutionary videos I've ever watched, you should all jump on and check a couple out.
  2. Easy enough to DIY, I did the exact same thing with the exact same gauges not a week ago. You need a oil sandwhich plate and a rad hose thingo with a temp sensor in it. If your NoR I dont mind giving you a hand, or you can come look at my setup and I can help you install ? The Autogauge ones have a bit of an odd wiring setup. Only other thing to note is with the top rad pipe setup and the sandwhich plate your better off doing a service at the same time, saves having to drop coolant and oil just to install them.
  3. Dont have a kit on mine so the lowest point is the chassis rails/cat.
  4. ^^WHS 100mm from the lowest point with a fully loaded car, so if your at 110mm you might still be considered a little too low by the cops. Also something like 400-500mm from the lowest point of the headlights or something, I never pay much attention to that one. Basically, if its lowered enough to look good its too low.
  5. my cats about 40mm off the ground but the rest is fine due to super not level coilovers and lack of a jack. I just dont drive it around too much atm. Couldnt you just be like yo but man I work at the DPI?
  6. Danny Vahoumis has done 230kw out of a 2510. Food for thought.
  7. Indeedio, I assume you know which car I'm in, we've met a couple times.
  8. I had a mate get caught driving on his L's and it was only like a 50 dollar fine or something. (Maybe 250?) It was super minor at any rate, I really doubt you'll lose your liscense over it. Unless there is more to the story.
  9. 18" with an offset and no width is rather vague.
  10. Oi reaper/spynic, come to the drifts at barbs @6pm then roll down after? You know you want to. I want to go watch some of the dudes/chat to them.
  11. Not if you get into a smash, hit a pedestrian etc. CTP Insurance is void, and if youve ever spoken to a personal injury lawyer youll find yourself facing a LARGE bill.
  12. I know someone with a laser jammer installed. Reckons it works a treat. Goes nuts when its jamming something so you hit the break and flick the switch to turn it off. They get a reading and you drive past.
  13. Dont tell me your auto only ten four Devoooo. Id run with driving out of class. Same as when your ride a motorbike when you only have a car liscense. You are liscensed to be on the road just not for that particular class of vehicle.
  14. Anyone whos up in civilization who wants to meet and roll down there, I might be up for it. Send me a pm or something if your interested.
  15. Go check and report back with your findings. Hint: No there isnt.
  16. Yeah thats the thing, my autogauge ones have 5 wires. 2 red 2 black and one green. Which seems to be different to everything else. Gonna just rip it apart tomorrow and play with it till it works. Thanks anyway guys
  17. Ive never seen a cop do anything other than lift the bonnet and point vaguely asking if thats a BOV. Half the time I'm not sure if they're pointing at the radiator cap or the ABS unit. If you cant see its cut I doubt you'll get done for it.
  18. Hey guys having trouble finding some instructions on there. I'm in the process of throwing a few into my car water temp/oil temp/boost. The biggest issue im having is I got them off a mate with no instructions. I have them all working insofar as lighting up, I have the temp senders hooked up, however the two temp gauges arent reading anything. I have the gauges hooked up with just the bottom 3 wires, and just have the top power/ground wires unhooked as when I was wiring them in they seemed to light up regardless of whether I had the key turned to ACC or not (wired to stereo power wire). I'm assuming that its the top power/ground that needs to be hooked up for them to work? If so Ill just wire them up to the ciggarette lighter wires. Could you provide any confirmation on this? (Cbf ripping dash out until I get some sort of confirmation that this is what the problem is.) Cheers guys, Greg.
  19. Hmmm 8500 for car 1000 for major mech service when I got it, including new clutch, flywheel, fluids, filters, etc 150 for new clutch pedal bracket (oem one snapped after new clutch went in, welded this one for extra strength) 800 for Coilies (Stock passenger shock was leaking) 200 for Hicas lockbar and gearknob. 300 for insurance. 550 for timing belt service inc. cam seals, idler, tensioner etc. full fluid swap. 400 for coilpacks. Thats just the stuff I had to purchase, throw some sparkplugs in there as well. Consider also 90% of the labour is done by me or a mate. Ive spent a bunch on other things for it as well but they weren't vital to the cars operation so you don't really need to consider it. Edit: Forgot to mention 800 for tyres,
  20. Nah thats not why they call you. They are in call centres that just call everyone as they are coming out of contract to see if they will upgrade their contract. They also aren't corporately run I don't think so they would get nothing out of you calling them back/checking voicemail. Does anyone think a corporation like telstra is gonna be trying to get you for 50c in voicemail charges? I mean really. It's like the water corp guy coming round your house and running the tap a bit before he leaves.
  21. Yes your mad to take it over the pits without being forced to. Let "the fuz" get to you first. Side mounting your number plate is fine as long as its on the passenger side or in the middle, due to cameras not being able to see it on the drivers side. Permits are gotten at the pits, might as well wait until a cop pings you then just go down to the pits with it and get the permits then.
  22. I believe those ones are a pretty big job. I recall Brad saying in my thread that they quote something like 10 hours labour.
  23. KYP is pretty close to you, tried them at all?
  24. Personally Id go GTR, have you tried speaking to someone like Japanese Performance Centre or Japanese wholesale spares? See if they can fit it for you as well.
  25. Talk to WA suspensions, they can probably get it done for you. I have a subframe bush that let go, my car doesnt noticeably vibrate. Think its fairly common on 32's?
