  4. Hey all, I agree with alot of what has been already covered in the last 4 pages. NO a public strip wont stop ALL hoon behaviour. But it will stop some. I know I for one have been burnt by the law for being a twat in my car(s), thus the reason why I wont be off my p's till im like 25. Wrong place, wrong time. I got caught and learnt my lesson.. Mallala is a great track however, if you compare it now to when I used to frequent it with my father back in the early to mid 90's I notice that Bike race meets have taken a BIG plunge in attendance, and I dont even remember seeing one car on the track in those days. Its still owned by the same old guy (who is obviously a ledgend for allowing it to be used still). The grandstands which currently stand were only ever supposed to be temporary, however they are still there. The old clubhouse has been boarded up, but i dont see a new one. The pit area has been upgraded though and looks great, but this is the only improvement in over 13 years! If any of you remember, you really only have to look at all the unused space at a drift event to realise that there seems to be no support for the 1 current motorport venue we currently have. I remember the whole carpark, grass areas, pits used to be chocka block with caravans, tents not to mention a plethora of (bike but none the less) enthusiasts at a race meet, which were more than once a month. I know times change. Its still sad though. I love going to watch drifting (hopefully will be participating shortly) and although It may be expensive I dont care as motorsport is a passion of mine and any progression towards better facilities will have my support. Also it might be worth looking into the land behind Mallala (looking north) as i believe its owned by the same guy and is plenty long enough for a strip to be layed down. And its flat. I used to ride my dirt bike out there when we were at the events that went longer than a day. Just my 2c. and also correct me if im wrong on any of these facts, as my info is from the days of the Phoenix motorcycle club! Long since gone. Peace
  5. Well I picked up an S13 for $500 on saturday so i guess i will put the money straight into that. It may not get me an SR20DET from DE conversion but it will get me this kit! What it looked like this morning: And now: Drift or road car im not sure yet, either way when finished it will have cost under 5k! So the Stag gets nothing for now
  6. Was a nice drive, didnt get any photos tho as my camera was having hissys. Saw you on parade Chris, I figured thats why we detoured! Rodders your stag looked beautiful going sideways up the hill, made me want mine running rwd! Catch you all next time, im always up for a cruise.
  7. Thanks for the help guys, sounds promising. Hopefully is a hassle free conversion then!
  8. Hi all, This has probably been covered a billion times before so i apologize if i upset anyone. Im currently in the process of replacing an RB20e (yuck!) with its DET sibling (including manual conversion) into an A31 and was just interested to know how i go about getting it passed by regency? Im aware some type of engineering cert may be needed but is that all it takes? Where could i get this done in Adelaide and how much is a certificate usually worth? Should I not bother and just wing it, and if i happen to cop a defect just gut it for drifting? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers, Simon.
  9. Spotted a Black R34 nismo on milne, looked stock but very clean. Also a mad yellow R34 with the plates SLY34 at the carwash on Nth east rd along with a silver kitted S1 R33. Left together and sounded very nice.
  10. For sale: 1986 MA70 Toyota Supra 5 speed manual. $4000 very negotiable. Australian delivered non-turbo 3ltr electronic fuel injected. 157500kms. Burgandy with grey interior. I have owned this car for just over 4 years, it has only been registered and on the road for less than a year in total as the rest of the time it has been garaged. Never had any issues with the car. No known accident history. Pretty much in the condition that i bought it, however i have resprayed some of the panels including spoiler, both bumpers and bonnet due to clear coat starting to peel. Dual tipped exhaust with really nice note to it, and looks standard. Reason for sale is that i currently own 4 cars and no room for them all! Rego has expired. Any enquiries to: Simon 0439810485 Car is located in Adelaide.
  11. Thanks that was me leavin work. Didnt see any black 34 tho??
  12. Hi all, i agree with so many of these posts both positive and negative. I have seen both sides of the coin when it comes to defects/police harassment like so many others and would like to see some sort of consistency regarding not only defects but also Police accountability in defect situations. In regards to involving a local MP in helping to build a not so negative image ( as much as i wish otherwise, being a minority we will never be portrayed in a truly positive way when it comes to the media ) its not a hard thing to do at all. You will find that a local MP will also want to build a positive image for themselves in the community, this is how they get elected... I have received help from a local MP to help raise awareness for something just as highly opinionated in the past and got an article in the Advertiser as well wich would give us the opportunity to try and positively boost ( no pun intended ) our image in the public eye. Its easy to contact these people its just a matter of finding one who is willing to support our efforts. I wish those actively involved the best of luck in this endeavour, and eagerly await the outcome of this meeting. Cheers, Simon.
  13. Spotted Chef_Stagea just now in the eastern hills area. Apparently some girls he knows told him there was a stag up there (me) and came up for a lookie! What a legend. Lookin forward to the cruise next sunday even more now! ps. Damn xenons are bright coming at you up a hill on high beams!!!

  22. Hi Simon, here are some pages from what turned out to be an entire booklet dedicated to the immobiliser. See what you can make out and let me know! (if you can make it out, my scans might be crap). I also noticed that it is using two types of characters if that helps at all. cheers.
  23. I know lots of you are going to tell me that this has been covered before but i honestly couldnt find it so: Does anyone have a factory immobiliser for a S1? and if so, how the hell do you use the bloody thing! I picked up my stag today (after 5 and a bit months) and all it does when i push the button is send the horn into a honking frenzy! i have all manuals for the car and it has descriptions, but being limited to only one language in my vocabulary this didnt help. If anyone has any idea i would appreciate the help! Pic Included - cheers - Simon
