  1. Currently tune is very mild. 500rwhp at 25psi. TH400 is a power sucker, however the cams that are in the head are too small for the size of the turbo and we arent seeing good enough gains per PSI of boost we are adding so we brought it back to have fun at the track last weekend. Cams are In:264 Ex:272. Inlet is the big killer Turbo: 80mm Billet Turbocharger
  2. Yeah mate. Faulty torque wrench to blame. Head didn't seal properly
  3. Took a mate for a ride later in the night and got an in car video of a race. As you can hear 2nd gear is a bit of a write off as it just wanted to break traction and get loose. New to the setup I decided it best to get out of it and back on it rather than drive though it. All in all the night was awesome and got a great felling of accomplishment finally getting the car out to an event. Few teething issues here and there to sort out like any brand new build but all in all a successful first night out.
  4. Now it was time to actually take the car out there and have some fun with it. To be honest I was more nervous than I thought I would be, it was excited nervous but nervous all the time. Took the first few runs relatively easy just to get a feel for the new setup and how it would react, specially the gearbox. Mates got a video of the maiden run for the car. Wins a win even if its not overly fast
  5. Next it was time to prep the car for SNRR. Quick little wash Then off I went Once arrived I took a quick pic of the car settled up in a pit bay
  6. First test drive proved very enjoyable. Driving a big stalled auto is definitely a lot different to a manual setup. Saturday Night Roll Racing at Queensland Raceway back on the 14th was the cars first event. Anyone not familiar with this event up here, it's an awesome and relatively new social racing event similar to a happy laps or powercruise session. People line up in the staging lanes and in pairs roll around to the main straight and drag each other. The nights very social and is as fun off the track as it is on the track. a few days prior to the event I got a fabricator mate to pop around and we had some late night fab fun putting a side pipe on the car. Personally I think it turned out awesome. Bolts on and off just after the gutted cat is tucked up high on the car for good clearance. Here is the side pipe when its off the car Some of it on the car Now for the idle video!!
  7. We need these drag wheels Anthony
  8. Now its time to go get some E85 ready for the impending drive. Dont forget guys, safety first! strap in the cans Now its time to take the thing for a drive. Not before i take another happy snap though
  9. Took a few happy snaps of the motor too whilst the borrowed covers were on. Will look a lot better once the blue matching covers
  10. Been pretty busy the last few days getting the car into a good enough state to drive it and enjoy it on the street. Step 1: Remove the 6-point bolt in cage Step 2: Put stock interior back in.
  11. Not sure which ones he sells sorry mate
  12. Few different LS coil options out there. Most of the people who are mounting them on the firewall or off the rocker cover are probably using LS1 coils. Mine are LS2 truck coils, different design and make up and are a lot smaller and user friendly.
  13. Thanks mate! Been a bloody long road but its all part of the fun. Coil pack bracket is a custom job that i got a fabricator mate to knock up. Wasnt the cheapest but I think it looks awesome and give its a very neat professional look
  14. First job was to test fit the catch can and make sure it all fits. Had to move my oil filter relocator as that was taking up the space the new can is going. I was limited by the existing line length so after having a look over the setup i was able to mount it under the car behind the cooler piping. First off i had to buy all the lines and fittings. Anyone who's done this knows unfortunately this shit aint cheap Now the new Filter location Heres what its like with the front bar on. Nice and covered so it wont get hit with rocks etc. Might still make up a protection case to go around it yet And test fitted the can in the bay too
  15. So finally brought the car home for a little while while i fit up some parts and enjoy the car for a bit, even if it is on low boost. Here's a vid of the cars first start up at home along with the exhaust tone at idle.
  16. Quick little video of the car on the dyno the other day getting some master touches Few little gremlins still to sort out but we are getting there slowly and surely
  17. Awesome build Patrick. Ive also gone a crank & cam trigger setup on mine. I mob locally in Queensland do up a tidy kit. Here is some pics of it getting put in. This is the Cam Trigger Unit
  18. Also playing around with a new front cover combo. I like the look but may change the colour of the Emblem to match the trigger
  19. Thanks guys! Hopefully it will fit perfectly once the cars back. Ive also been playing around with a new ornament plate for the valley cover. Stock plate mock up of new plate design
  20. Picked up my new Catch Can that a fellow SAU QLD member was able to fab up for me this week, Test fitted to his GTR to get the shape right whilst my heap is still in the shop.
  21. Not really much happening of late on this. Got some dyno time last week where we ran into issues with the head lifting. So off comes the head to sus it out and go again. Car went 520rwph at 22psi before the head lifted. Hopefully more updates this week
  22. Left button is bump box and right button is transbrake
  23. A quick snap of the B&M Magnum shifter with the buttons installed. Just need to throw the cover back on and centre console to get it looking clean
  24. Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone knows if 15x8 with 3.5" BS Wheel will fit under 33 guards
  25. Is that you nark?
