Hello All, Just got my car back from the paint shop following a little touch up here and there.. The one thing I haven't been able to sus out is the Fog lamps (far left and right of the HID's). Normally when you turn the headlight stick to first click it should put the headlights and rear break lights on. The rear break lights are going on fine but neither of the fog lights are. I have tested both the power cables for the fog lights with a standard 12v bulb (pin in, test bulb/light pin out) and both are working fine. So power is being supplied right up to the fog light input. Anyone have any ideas? Can't get the lights out without removing fenders...

Yeah just coolant in the radiator which would obviously be done with the water pump and belts. Probably wouldn't hurt changing the power steering fluid also. That ones reasonably cheap/easy.

A 100k service isn't going to be cheap Depending on how much money you have available it may be best to park up the skyline (before the timing belt goes). From there you can slowly collect up all the parts required and then just find a local workshop to do the labour. The kms could have also been wound back further at import.... You really need to do the following: - AC Belt - PS Belt - Alt Belt - Timing Belt - Water Pump - Spark Plugs - Clutch (Full Kit Ideally) - All Fluids - All Filters - New Battery? ect. You could get away with just the clutch and timing belt for now, if things are failing it's most likely sign everything is pretty well worn.

Don't forget the little things.. It most likely will need a decent service at some stage.. Coil Packs, Spark Plugs, Cambelt, Fanbelts, Clutch, Tyres ect. Just be prepared to give it a full service if not now it'll need one down the track

Thought this may interest some... There is a 1990 GTS-T up for sale on Trademe over in NZ Nothing out of the normal except the genuine 5500kms on the clock Price is definitely high, however it's pretty safe to say it is the only Auto 2.0 in remaining in that/factory condition. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-304589688.htm

Hello All, Quick query im hoping someone can answer. The end of my exhaust was swapped for a cannon sometime ago (bolts on bolts off the end)... The car is a 1998 R34 25GT Coupe... Have the opportunity to buy the end exhaust off a 1998 RB20 Sedan... The tips on the exhaust ect. all look the same... Can anyone confirm if the physical exhaust is the same in terms of piping diameters and through put?

Hello all, Have run another tank of gas through the engine and have had no issues... Still not down to the low fuel light however so will see how it goes tonight after a drive. Sparks were replaced with NGK iridium's at the same time the coils were done.
-
Another maintenance issue to resolve on my R34 GT. Engine is a RB25DET (98) When driving the car it starts to cut out every few cycles.. The issue is very similar to that you experience when a coil pack is on the way out (Cutting in and out... Lack of power) However the coils were replaced just over 12 months ago with Splitfires. In addition to this I have driven the car round and used a whole tank of fuel yet never once has the engine check light come on.. I thought it may simply have been blocked injectors as I had previously ran the tank right down to nothing. Having run a bottle of injector cleaner through it the issue still remains the same. I have noticed however the issue occurs much less if at all when the car is over 1/3 of a tank gets worse as the tank gets empty. As the car is on 100,000kms would anyone think it could be the fuel pump? (Simply the extra pressure from a full tank vs a low tank) Alternatively does anyone know what else the issue could be? Car will be going into the mechanic for clutch kit, cambelt and fluids change ASAP just wanting to get an idea on what this issue could be so I can budjet it in.

Does anyone know if the R34 Plastic headlight covers can be ordered as separate parts direct from Nissan? (simply the cover itself) Even at $200/300 a Pop Id be quite interested in replacing them wile the car undergoes a full paint job. -

Problems With R34 After Comming Out Of Storage
Pandoraa posted a topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hello all, My R34 GT has been in storage for the last few months. Have just bought it out to start cleaning it up and doing some work on it. Battery was dead which is to be expected... Started it up with jumpers and left it to run for a good 20 minutes. However the main problem is there appears to be a grinding sound coming from the engine bay. (sounds like a mix of grinding and a sort of hissing noise you get with a small high pressure leaky pipe).. No engine check lights.. reset the ECU and still no check lights... Temps and oil all seem fine... The sound itself seems to be coming from the Air intake rather than the engine itself. You can put your ear right next to the pod filter I have installed and hear it quite clearly. However when moving your ear upto the engine everything sounds reasonably fine.. Any ideas what it could be?.. From what I can tell it has to be echoing down from the air intake... -
Mwr34 R32-r34 Full Conversion Build
Pandoraa replied to mwracing's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Great job! Havn't seen any R32.4s with this much time, effort and craftsmanship gone into them. Only thing I could recommend is trying to pickup a keylock for the boot off eBay? Doesn't even need to do anything, just fill the hole and make it look complete from the back... -

Hello Daniel, Just curious what Status Tuning charged you to install these originally and re-tune? Quite interested in them but need an idea on the install cost to factor it in. -
