i dont know we just use it in our spray guns at work, i image it would but im not 100%

pearls are easy to match just not 3 layers like whites lol. most of the 3 layers these days can be painted and matched like a normal colour. For example all the new mazda colours that are a 3 layer from the factory PPg still makes you paint them as a 3 layer but Glasruit which i use has them all as a single layer

and with the primer idea it might work but primer needs to be dry then rubbed before painting over unless its a wet on wet primer which i dont think u can get in a car and also don't forget to use plastic primer before u put anything else over it

stone guard wont work cause it's really think, a normally spray gun wont even spray it, your after a paint called 'bumper texture' i dont know if you can get it in a spray can but i'll stil.l get the brand for you 2morrow. Off the top of my head i think the brand is K&H, if you were in melbourne i could do it for ya

nah, don't want to be repainting the whole side of the car if i scratch it

what do u mean by wrinkle? they is a product that gives a spoted textured look like on the bottome of some bumbers. porche 4wd's and the like. it's black but can be painted over, i'll look 2morrow morning when i'm at work for you if you want?

well the Ford orange is out of the question was looking at it last night and it looks aweome on small cars but on a big car onlyt looks good as a 2 tone, and i dont wannt go down that route as i dont really like 2 tone jobs. The purple is sort of the same. So i'm thinking about midnight purple but there seems to be alot of r32's respayed in this colour and the blue i found with the purple pearl, at work we respayed a VU ute in it but in all the photos it just looks blue. i've got a few weeks to decided but thanks so far for the input, keep it coming

matching it is no problem as i paint cars for a living thats pretty much the only reason im paining it because it will cost a grand or two and thats just fo the paint. i'll try scan some colour profees from wok but i sont know how they will come out

yer thats another thing that has sort of been putting me off, my VT SS was tiga mica and i got sick of that colour pretty quick and i don;t want that to happen again, i really don't mind the Midnight purple but it's a pretty dark colour and i'm not sure if i want to go down that route again as my Audi was black and was a pain in the ass to keep clean. I thought about that purple the the VE SS comes out in but i'm sure i'll be sick of that colour soon.

well my GTR is going to be here soon and the 1st thing i'm going to do is respray it. The colour atm is the stock blue (TH1 - Dark Blue Pearl i belive) but i think it's just plain and boring so i'm thinking of changing the colour just not sure of what colour to go??? i've found a blue colour that looks the same but has a massive purple flip in it and looks good, but i also like the Ford Orange off the XR'5 but not sure if it will look good on a bigger car? do you guys have any ideas on what colour to go and maybe some pics. Also i'm going to paint the engine cover, also don't know what colour to go, i was thinking of that mazda red (velocity red) as it is really a 3 layer pearl and has alot of gold metalic in it any other ideas on this as well?

it's my boss, the plates are 19, i think there for sale with all his other plates

iused to catch the train to work due to lack of parking near my work but it's not good, some mornings there would be 3 trains in a row not running and most the time they ran late, i gave up after a while and just drove, i figured if it took me longer to drive at laest i would be warm and have a seat, turns out it's alot quicker to drive and no where near as annoying

depends on brand of paint, the paint we use at work is one of the most exspensive on the market and we pay about $600 for a clear kit, there are cheap brands that are like $100 and PPG from memory is about $400. USeally for a re-spray they just sand all the clear off with about a 600 grit paper then apply the colour again then clear it so you'll have a higher firm of paint but you really wouldnt be able to tell from just looking at it

your rite about the side skirts but it still looks awesome, whats next on the way?

passed on them for now, in talks with the people organising for a box for me and some mates, just like the idea of having an air conditioned box to chill out in when it gets to hot

thanks there is a small dent on the passanger side quater and scratchs under the lip on the front bar but i'll fix them when i respray it

2 pac would be the eaiest as it's only 2 coats and it's done, less chance of getting runs

i've seen that McLaren F1 afew time, it sounds so nice when the owner gives it abit, plates are MCLF-1 or something

the guy i'm importing my GTR through popped over for a chat last nite in the Delica he just got himself. I'm 6'2 and had alot of trouble getting into it. It stands at over 7 foot tall and it's pretty quick.
