+1, i work accross the road from them, $5 on Mondays and Wednesday is awesome
  5. jamezilla, is that at your work? if so where abouts do u work?
  6. the amount of cars we have to repair at work because they have been keyed in unreal, we get afew a week, i know who did mine and i'm not going to stoop to his level, if i see him out i'll have my way with him but im not going to damage his cars
  7. my old car (VT SS) was parked in the side sttreet next to mine cause all my mates had parked in my driveway and some werent there to move cars so i thought it would be alrite, i came back in the morning and there was one long key mark around the whole car down to the metal and the bonet and the roof had 'F**K YOU' in massive letters also down to the metal. couldn't drive it anywhere cause people just looked at it in shock. I'm pretty sure i know who did it cause 2 weeks before a mates r33 had bricks chucked though the windows and another had her E36 BMW keyed and paint stripper tipped on, my work had to write it off
  8. if it's just the bars why not get the gurads and quaters blended? you wont notice the difference that way it shouldn't cost to much more. And the techs are awesome at colour matching they have to do a test every year so thre on top of things
  9. the problem with that is the bars might not match the guards if the cap is a slighly off colour. It's easy to match a colourif you have a code to start with but if you have noidea it's hard especially on 3 layer pearls because you have to match the groud coat then match the pearl coat. starting from scratch with no code to go on could take a whole day or longer and for just one colour the painter may not have the time
  10. if you have the base colour its a good start, but the easiest thing for the painter is for you to leave your car with him as he'll need it to match the colour to, and then depending on the brand of paint he uses he might be able to call a paint technition in to do the color matching for him, i know Glasurit do this becuase we got them to colour match a camaro for us last week at work
  11. yep you need a special plastic paint stripper, nomal paint stripper will wreck your bar
  12. here's a site that will bring up any paint code for anycar ever made http://www.glasurit.com/COLOR/new-color-on....php?language=1
  13. here is a list of places excempt from the 2am lockout Revolver Tramp Lounge Q Bar Billboards Onesixone Alumbra Colonial Hotel Blue Bar The Gin Place Colonial Hotel Magday Court Jester Hotel Production 75 Holdings Cherry Bar Chasers Patty Malone Bar Boutique Heavenly Pier Little Lygon Bar & Grill Damion De Silva Jacanua Loft Noble Management The Long Room Event Coordinators P/L LMB P/L The Saint Hotel Xchange Cushion Lounge La La Land The Peel Centrefold Lounge The Men's Gallery Shianti The Tunnel Negroni Bar & Grill Mark Sleigh Base Backpackers - St Kilda The Welcome Stranger DV8 Bar 2O there may be more but im not to sure
  14. yer you can but not in whites as far as i know, i was bored at work and went though all the white colour cards and any white one with a pearl was a 3 layer
  15. White Pearl i'm pretty sure is a 3 layer pant so if you ever get a scratch or are in an accident it's a bitch to match the colour
  16. any product along the lines of detailing spray, finishing wax etc will do, i use a brand from work called autosmart and it's really good and leaves a nice gloss
  17. my other boss has just got his in black, plates are 15 or 19, thats to go the with his new porka 911 turbo
  18. SL 55 at work The Boss's E63
  19. +1 for the e30 M3, i know of an awesome turbo charged one in QLD. Just be carefull of rust which all UK are very prone to
  20. i'll be there, went to the Armin white party and that was awesome, but me and my mates have been hanging to go to the real thing for years so this may be as close as we get for now
  21. very rare car, only 1 in Aus i'm pretty sure, i think the guy who owns it is a doctor, always used to be at Box Hill Hospital, i had heaps of photos of it as well
  22. the market sucks for selling atm, i had my Holden VT SS up for sale for $15,000 and was etting offers of about $10k because therewere so many for sale, even though mione had alot less km's and just had a full respray, i ended up getting 12k for it but i didnt help with the petrol prices in the news everynite and there only getting higher so it wont help your cause
  23. if water gets on to a panel just afeter it's apinted and isn't wiped off in time it will stain and the only realway to get it off is to reclear it
  24. the way i meant it is like you have to spend money to make money, victoria would make alot back on tourism but the media doesnt focus on that
  25. it is but it isn't. The 4 day event runs at a loss of 40 million or whatever it is, but they don't include how much the revenue it brings in to the hotels, clubs, shopping etc when you add all that it's not running at so muxh of a loss if any plus it shows Melbourne to the world which hopefully brings tourist's here
