  2. there is a Matt black R32 GTS-T always up at Balwyn Macca's, i think Matt black looks awesoem but not on skylines, i would go silver with a but of a blue flip in it, white is just boring
  3. Different brands of paints are mixed differnetly, basecoat and clear are useally mixed on a 2:1 ratio (2 parts color or clear, 1 part hardner, 10% thinners) Fibreglass bodykits never fit correctly we had a R33 GTS-T and it had a fake veilside kit, nothing lined up it took a whole day to get it on then to paitn prime, rub and paint took another day, it's best to get a pro to do it, i'll be doing my car whenever i get it but thats because i know what i'm doing. It's not hard to get it ready or paint it but you have to know what your doing and if you want your car perfect it wouldn't be the best car to practise on.

  6. Hay all, Just bit about me, my names Scott, I’m new to the world of jap cars, I live and work in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. I’m an apprentice spray painter start my 3rd year in a few weeks, but I’ve doing full resprays for a while now and I love it, I work at a prestige joint so I manly work on BMW’s (a lot of the M range) Merc’s, Audi’s etc. so I don’t deal with jap cars really. I love my cars and have always loved the R32 GTR’s but I’m only now just getting the chance to own one. Abit about the cars I’ve owned, 1st up was a 1994 Ford ED, I got it off my grandparents and wasn’t a bad car looked ugly as sin but it was 11 years old and only had 60,000km’s on it so it was like brand new, I put a massive audio/video system in it but it only lasted a few months until I sold it. After that was my 1996 Audi A4, it was a 1.8l turbo Quattro and was a nice car just had a chip and bodykit but was bloody expensive to fix and it was abit of a lemon, when I decided to cut my loss’s on it, it decided to overheat all the time and I lost a fair bit of cash on it but it looked good When I sold the Audi I was carless for about a year but I was working in the city so I didn’t really need a car but I got bored and started looking for a R32 GTR but all the ones for sale at the time had a lot of rust issues and all the subframes we’re way to rusted out so I decided to get something newer and go a 2000 Holden VT SSII it was good, I dint have any problems with the gen3 like most people do but I went though some rear tyres pretty easily until I got 19’s on it. I also resprayed it because it got keyed the 1 night I left it outside so I resprayed the whole car the same colour but added abit more of a red pearl and it looked good but I’m pretty sure I know who keyed it so I sold it so it wouldn’t happen again Now I’m back looking for a R32 GTR, just deciding if I should buy privately locally or import one, I’ve got a mate who’s an importer and is looking for me so if I import one I’ll probably go through him rather then a major company but I’m still not 100% as places like j-spec seem to have some good cars I’m just worried about rust issues especially in the subframe so any help would be greatly appreciated. I know about the timing belts and rust of corse is there anything else I should be looking for?
