i like the idea of the go pro as its so versatile and the picture seems good it just always comes back to the audio. Its mainly going to be used for in car footage - has anyone actually used an external mic? This must obvosuly get rid of the high frequency casued by the case.....Can you use the camera without the case, I.e its inside the car so it doesn't really need to be protected....

Its sort of funny you say given its in the Vatican Museum inside Rome haha!

Hey, SO im going to buy a new in car camera in the coming days as my old one was rubbish with sound. Looking into the new Go Pro HD hero2, anybody have any thoughts on this - i know it now has the external mic imput. This should makes things better? Clearer sound - the wind noise really killed the last camera and it didn't have an external mic. Look forward to hearing peoples thoughts

to tell the truth i have no idea about how to set the white balance correctly for a shot like that let alone at all. The castle shot was really hard as the lighting was from so many different sources and so many different colour temperatures Want to teach me haha

Michael shots look great - some CC maybe set the white and blacks in either photoshop or lightroom to give the image the full tonal range. The images look great just lack that little extra punch!!! Soooooo i just got my new D7000 and it has the same focus problems as the D90 FML and Nikon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ended up going the D7000 My D90 was almost 2 years old and i really didn't want to get stuck with that technology for a few more years. Nothing wrong with the photos it took i was always blown away, but with higher IQ and Upgraded AF it just made sense. Its nice its also a little heavier and pretty much the same size with button locations so nothing to really get used to!!!!!

If you look at a D90 there are quite alot of rubber grips and rubber openings. They are held on by glue or pop in pop out of the indented holes. Over time the rubber has expanded and the glues perished so the rubber has peeled off and the rubber openings i.e where you plug things in no longer fit and just dangle. My oberservation is its maybe from heat and moisture but really mine has experienced no more then anyone else. Never been wet, and only taken to some warm places. All the rubbers on my zoom rims have expanded and are help on by lacker bands. There not even attached to the lens anymore. The focus ring is never an issue. I guess thats what you get when you dont buy pro level equipment!!! But seriosuly i expect a little more of the semi pro range!!!!

i currently have a D90- but its now being repalced under warranty! As a result im torn between 2 states of mind - Keep the D90 my nly issue was its appauling build quality - better luck on the 2nd one - Pay some extra cash and upgrade to the D7000 Anyone have much experience with the D7000??

Hey Matt, Got some really nice shots of the ring but as i was driving it for 2 days really didn't get to shoot as much as i wanted. Still some nice shots all the same. The main viewpoints were Bergwerk, Brunnchen, Pflazgarten Can't believe how clean your R34 is - Immaculate!!!! Wish mine was half as clean but cant really expect much from a track only 34GTR. Just wish i didn't have to rip off the nismo side skirts (dam you ripple strips and trailer) they make it look so much tougher just too low for me ((( Josh

so just found out they are replacing my camera outright under extended warranty - this is going to be interesting....

hmmm, so jealous of the 10 day turnaround!!!! Pretty disappointed with my gear actually and Nikon in general! Bought 4 lenses and a body before i went to Europe for 7 months and within that time all the rubber has pershied on the lenses and body and literally got through the trip on lacker bands and tape. Second to that the body is horrible with the autofocus. Put it on a tripod and focus with liveview and its perfect at getting the focus right. Try the same thing in AF single point and it misses the mark by a ½ to a meter. No idea what’s going on but it gave me the Sh1t’s that’s for sure! Just want it fixed and back!!!!!

DAMMM!!!! Im missing my body and all my lenses (( i hope its not 4 weeks, ill be one angry person by then!!! What was your issue?

Hey, Just wondering how long people have been without their camera for... Came back from Europe and its been in repairs for 14 days already. Dam killing me!!! Had never been into photography until i went to Europe and now dont really know what to do without a camera in my bag or hand lol Anyway just wanted to share some frustration!!!!!

Hey Guys, Sorry to say it but theres going to be some more hatred when i finally get to go through my Nurburgring photos haha!!! The cars you get to see at some of these locations are just beyond belief. Good to see them driven the way they were supposed to be thats for sure. Matt i love that crazy black Celica i hope you got some other photos of that!!! Im pretty lucky i actually came accross those 2 photos of the Lorne Pier i took them soo long ago and only by chance came accross them in lightroom. Glad i did now! Keep the photos coming
