  3. I'll pull mine apart this w/e and see if i have a dodgy green wire. it could just be that the turbo timer is on it's last legs but like i said, i put mine in with the harness a few years ago and mine hasn't skipped a beat  That said, my girfriend has a new blitz one in her car (6 months old) and it is failing already. I'm not a fan of the Blitz one though. Too had to use each function, the type-1 is nice and easy
  4. Why aren't you guys in the QLD Time attack challenge results?QLD Time Attack challenge results? Is that sprint circuit the same one that we used to run on in the olde days? is the sprint circuit the same as when I did my 1:07? weren't you guys all running 1:03's and 4's around the sprint circuit last i was there??? Hey dave good to hear that your back on track We'll be in town for one night only (Sunday the 10th / Mon 11th) on the way back to the land of freeze (sub 2degrees C this morning :chairshot ). I think the stopover will give us a chance to "re-climatise" from our holiday in the sun. PM me your mobile numbers (i've since lost most of the numebrs of friends from brissy  ) and we'll catch up for a beer if you guys are free ...and when i get back up there, I'll save up my sick days for just such occaasions
  5. which circuit are they running at the QR days now? the clubman? or ye olde sprint circuit?
  6. I've got one, but haven't pulled mine apart. If it was the handbrake sensor wire the timer would turn off with the engine. sounds like it could be a loose connection to the ign wiring perhaps? How is your's wired up? I have the wiring harness that hooks in and I haven't had any issues in the ~3years i've had it installed. Michael

Sorry guys, I've been waiting to confirm all of the details before posting up The moulding process takes 3 weeks once the originals are finished. I'm aiming to get the originals painted next week, so it'll be about 4 weeks (once the originals are painted) till we have ready made parts Price per pair is $150 and that will be for the bolt-ons. They will have 2 mounting points (one at the outside, and another inthe middle of the headlight), and to accomodate those who's cars might not be as straight as we'd hope - they'll have metal brackets which will bolt the eyelid to the car (these will be supplied obviously ). It's going to cost the same for me to get stick ons made so I don't think i'm going to spend too much time worrying about them. If anyone does want stick-on's for whatever reason, email me and we'll work something out. Doesn't seem like there's too much interest for them anyway. So i guess it's time to start taking official orders Please send me an email if you have any q's or would like put an order through. Pic's of the finished product will be up once the first set have been made from the mould. Please let me know if you want them painted. Painting will cost more obviously. If you want them painted please supply me with your paint code and I'll arrange a quote. Michael P.S. Please make sure you email me if you are definitely interested. This will help me work out numbers
  8. Each to their own If i had the extra couple of hundred to throw at it at a full "known brand name" system at the time i would've done the same thing, but for my short-term plans with the car are concerned the x-force will do the trick for me :uh-huh: If you were buying full brand name system new at average retail you'd be looking at: Dump and front pipe ~300 Hi Flow Cat ~200 Jap-brand cat-back ~800 The Jap brand cat-back is more than i paid for my full system, hence my comment: But yes, if you have the money and want to spend it on something with better quality, either get a custom system made up, or buy a rocommended brand name. Anyway just my 2c
  9. yeah but the xforce is turbo-back, so as far as flowing more out the rear end on a budget is concerned, they're not so bad
  10. Yeah, it wasn't until after i got the replacement that i realised that the new one was H3. I pulled apart some of the assembly in an effort to swap both of them to H1, (the broken one i had was H1), but they are very different. Basically what i want to know is which type of headlights came out with which globes so i can find a suitable replacement and match them up What type of globes does everyone have, and which style headlights have you got on your 32?
  11. As i understand it: The boost gauge will only read vaccum / boost when the engine is running. The gauge will sit slightly eityher side of zero depending on what the air pressure (ie - the weather) is. Doesn't always mean that it's been dropped.
  12. Does anyone know what globes each different type take. I have 2 of the projector lights (one of which has been replaced because the glass was cracking), and the low beams use different globes (1 is a H3 and the other is a H1). Which is a better globe? I'm going to guess that the H3's are better being that they are 25 bux each to replace with a run-of-the-mill globe  Thanks, Michael
  13. all too familiar...I had my car for a while (a couple of years) before I had the money to even think about putting some decent mods on. When my wallet was thin, i just waited out and found a few bargains here and there that fuelled my dreams at least a little. Now that i'm earning a little more money I'm trying to decide where best for it to go (aside from the credit card heh oh well...all in good time. Best of luck
  14. the dude on ebay didn't answer my messages promptly, so I just sourced mine elsewhere. I had it the next day without the hassle of waiting

    Help

heh...same happens for me i didn't realise until i was in the car ready to drive out on the track Try tilting the seat back a little, and dragging it forwards (though this not the best option as far a keeping your hands on the wheel is concerned
  16. ouch! so what happened, did u come in too hot and it understeered?
  17. I have a mild steel turbo back X-force on my RB20. Sound: It's actually pretty quiet when cruising on the highway. The drone isn't intrusive - it doesn't leave your ears ringing Performance: I haven't had it tuned yet, but they claim 20kw at the treads average gain. Incomparison a CES exhaust advertise approx 40kw gain (but their systems cost a lot more) Looks: Doesn't look too bad. IMO it works and performs better than the stock exhaust, and as far as bang for buck goes, it's not too bad. The quality of the welds on mine were pretty poor. If you wanted to take the time, you could clean them up. Michael
  18. haha not so true - look at what happenned to the Bubble boy in Seinfeld...oh noooooo...it was the 'Moops'
  19. tough call mate as strutto said, it is ultimately YOUR choice. It's not really fair when extended family try and throw their 2 cents in...If your wife and family have accepted it, i'd keep racing
  20. hahah nice work...hope you win the auction i hope the KGB plates are going to find a new home on the ebay lada if you win

well after last weekend, I've decided that so I don't have to spend night after night annoying my neighbours with power tools (and then feeling guilty even if it isn't late) I'm going to be seeing someone this Saturday to get a quote to have them moulded and have a small run made up. So I won't go quoting yet in case my best guess is waaay off  Will let you guys know as soon as I know. Thanks for your patience I don't think I'm going to bother getting a run done of the stick on eyelids. If people want those, please let me know (drop me an email) and i'll make them up. If the demand for them increases (for the stickies) I'll look at getting a small run done
  22. I'll jump in first and ask ..... Centre and passenger side vents if not broken
