  1. Isn't that where you work chaos? Any ideas on ballpark costs for white spray with / without prep work? What is involved with prepping the bar. Can I do it myself to save some $$$???
  2. Can anyone recommend a shop in Brisbane to respray my front Bar. Please only post up positive experiences to save the forum any legal pain. If you've had a bad experience somewhere, please PM me. All help uber appreciated... Thanks, Michael
  3. skn : PM me your email addy and I'll email a mate in Townsville who's got a 32GTR. If he doesn't know, he knows a couple of other folk in FNQ with 'lines... Michael
  4. OK...he spoke to Bob Jane, and the Rims have ET 4/0 stamped on them - so the offset is 40. Apparently it is a common offset for FWD cars. Also, the rims will NOT fit a 5 stud pattern as mentioned in the original post. I have edited my original post to reflect the new info. Cheers, Michael
  5. Couldn't find it on the web anywhere. The guy who's selling them took them into a tyre & wheel place on the weekend to find out. I'll post up when he comes into the office today. Cheers, Michael
  6. Sorry...That's US$1250 with tyres fitted. Still chasing the offset...

Agree with the above-mentioned comments about street machines. I had them trying to slog me a 91 GTT with 50,000K's on it, for a price that was too cheap. Seemed sus to me. 46n2

  11. Unless you're ripping out the HICAS, cutting the wire isn't a good idea...I've heard that the HICAS does stoopid things when you cut the wire due to bad signal. You could get the ECU reprogrammed (raise the boost & speed limiters, change fuel maps etc); or get an after-market device to do so (as mentioned by others). The Apexi RSM (i think they're about $300) gets rid of the speed cut. Run a search on the forum, as there's a number of devices made for this purpose. Happy hunting 46n2
  12. Guys, Does anyone make aftermarket rack-ends for a 32 GTT (or for any car for that matter)??? Mine are gone on the L/S, but I'm hoping to get rid of the rubber bushes altogether. 46n2
  13. The HKS Type 1 Turbo Timer has a 2 stage shift light as one of it's features. It is easily adjustable, and makes a noise also when you hit the limit you've set. Great value with it's other features for $300 (if you want to spend that much). I understand you can also get shift lights that hook into the cigarete lighter. Haven't had any first hand exp. with these, but they wire into a control module, where you can manually adjust the limit. I think Autobarn sell them. I've seen one wired into an S15 - looked pretty damn sweet. The light itself is small, and easily concealed. Good luck 46n2

  15. Depends on what pads are going in and what you're using the car for... I'm setting mine up for track work and have recently put RB74's in and I was told by a brake specialist to bed the pads in on old rotors, and not to machine the rotors before the pads go on... I tried a screwdriver on the metal part of the piston when I was trying to push them back so I think I'll double check that I haven't damaged the seal in the proces... Michael
  16. cool...thanks
  17. Don't you need to prime it first???
  18. Looks good...Dark blue (like a royal blue or something) is what I was thinkin of too... Dru...What needs to be done to prep it for paint???
  19. Prolly the injectors, mine makes the same noise...Bring it around & I'll put an ear to it...Email me Michael
  20. What's the easiest way to get then pistons back? I tried openning up the bleed screw and pushing them, but they wouldn't budge. Since, I've had the pads changed by the pro's while I had it in for other work. Thanks, Michael
  21. when I was trying to find the speed sensor wire in my 32 I followed the tracks from the speedo to the plug in the back of the dash to find out which wire it was. From memory, there were only 3 or so tracks leading away from it. Mine had a couple of jap letters followed by SW written on the speed sensor track. Will cutting (breaking the circuit) the wire do stupid things to your HICAS. I understand (from conversation) that the HICAS will error as Iit can't find a speed signal? Michael
  22. For anyone who's anxiously waiting the guide I'm putting together : It's now hit the 3.6MB mark as a word doco I may convert it to PDF which should shrink it down a bit, but it looks as though I'll have to email it to anyone who's interested when it's done... I'm putting it together in my lunch breaks at work because I don't have a 'puta at home, but it shouldn't be long now... 46n2
