  1. Haha. As I said it was a lucky buy and the seller was lazy, just wanted the cash.
  2. Oh hahah. I had been using Fast Reply. It doesnt work in that version. Cheers
  3. btw does anyone here know what these rims would be worth? They are genuine Works rims I'm told. I am pretty sure they suit a 300zx
  4. Oh sweet iseekool. Thanks for that. So i just undo that then, turn my heater on and fill the radiator until water comes out the top? Should i have the car on? p.s Noob with these cars as well as forums lol. How do I use the quote? When i click on it it goes red but not sure how to insert it into a reply.
  5. Yeah i felt i got a fairly good deal I do drive a hard bargain lol. Yeah i already checked that the car can be registered. Basically i got it through a friend of a friend who was too lazy to sell it. It had been sitting outside his house for 8 months cos he lost his license and then he let it fall out of rego so it became hard to sell. There are a few problems with it though. The idle is the main problem. The engine conversion looks like its been done in someones back yard. The idle control valve isnt even plugged in and i took it apart the other day and the solenoid was rusty. Basically you cant let the car drop below 1500 rpm or it will stall. Doesn't make for great fuel economy lol. btw thanks Mr Fanny for that info on the wheel offset. Ill go and check it now. The problem is the wheels do scrape at hard lock. Its such a shame because i think they suit the car perfectly. Anyway hopefully i will be able to find something similar to fit properly. Here is a pic of the engine bay. Will hopefully be putting a powerfc into it soon to get rid of the idle problem. They used all the r33 wiring and computer with the r34 engine so hopefully a full ecu replacement will fix the issues. Got to book it in at Hyperdrive.
  6. Hey guys, just thought i would post some pictures of my new car for you to see. It is a 1995 s1.5 R33 Gts-t. Let me know what you think. Bit of Background:I bought the car for $5500 two days ago. It is unregistered and there are a few things I need to do to it before it passes pits (New GTR Bumper, Sort out radiator issues and idle problems). It is stock apart from the inter cooler and boost gauge and spoiler (and the r34 engine transplant). Taken it for a drive though and I can not believe a stockish car can pull so hard!!! Anyway here are the pics..hope u like. Will ps. I am selling the rims. They are apparently the wrong offset for R33 (previous owner put them on). If anyone knows how to identify the offset could they let me know. Thanks.
  7. Hey guys I just warmed my car up this morning and took the radiator cap off to have a look and coolant colored foam poured out. I am hoping this means there is way too much air in the system. Anyway how do i get rid of this air?
  8. Hey Guys, Can someone here tell me where the bleed valve is on the R34 engine. I just got my car the other day and found the radiator was dirty as shit so i ran some radiator flush through it (Still hell dirty) and then i refilled with a coolant premix. Anyway i took it for a drive and when i got back i could hear water boiling (although cabin thermostat was fine). I assume this is because i didnt use the bleed valve to remove air from the system. Photo's would be great if anyone has them. Thanks in advance, Will
  9. Sorry guys. photos wernt working. will try to fix now. If anyone can help with this problem it would be much appreciated
  10. Hey guys. Im looking at a 1995 R33 S1.5 Skyline with an R34 engine in it. The R34 engine is connected through a stock R33 wiring harness and computer. As a result a lot of pipes and wires have been blocked off and cut and i cant tell whats going on. The engine feels good to drive but will stall if you let it go to idle for too long (traffic lights). After some research i found that a commin fix for this is to remove and clean the AAC valve (hoping it not computer issues). Anyway, i went and did this today but i found the valve wasnt even connected to the wiring harness (Picture 1 red circle). I decided to ignore this for the time being and removed the valve. The inside of the valve was not too bad. I cleaned it anyway. However, I found rust in the solenoid and on the two small hose connections (Picture 1 yellow). This rust was accompanied with a bit of rusty fluid aswell. I should have taken photos then but i didnt think untill i had it all re assembled. Anyway, I am fairly sure rust is bad to have on the intake side of things as it sould be sucked into you engine. If you guys can shine some light on all this for me that would be great. Also, whats with the two hoses being connected together (Picture 1 Blue). And i noticed this pipe has been cut (Picture 2 Blue), also the idle screw does not look standard. The other red in picture 2 shows the purple plug that someone else refered to in the Cleaning your AAC Valve tute as the one which should have been connected to the solenoid. Starting to think this car might be more trouble than its worth. Thanks in advance, Will
  11. Hey guys. I am looking at a 1995 S1.5 skyline at the moment. It is a friend of a friends car so i have the keys and have been checking it over very closely. The car is an R33 but has had an R34 engine put in it. The R34 engine is connected to the car through the original R33 wiring harness and ecu. It seems to run fine (feels good to drive) but it has an idle problem (will stall when idling unless you give the accelerator a punch every now and then). I did some research and found that a common fix for this is to clean the ACC valve. So today thats exactly what i did only i found that the valve wasn't even plugged in to the wiring harness. The owner had told me previously (before i knew it was the AAC Valve) that this was due to the engine being an r34 engine. Anyway, I ignored this for the time being and removed the valve. It wasn't too dirty on the inside but i gave it a scrub anyway. I found that the solenoid had rusty looking stuff in it (obviously hasn't been used for ages) and I found bad rust and rusty water on the two "Small" hose connections (not the one running to the intercooler piping). I don't know if its normal for there to be fluids in this part of the engine but the fact that there is rust screams trouble to me. If anyone out there has more knowledge about why the solenoid was not plugged into the ECU and why there was rust in these pipes could they let me know. I am beginning to think it might be an idea to steer clear of this one. I can post pics if this description is not clear enough Thanks in advance, Will
  12. Hey Guys, I am looking at a 1995 s1.5 R33 which has a 2001 r34 engine in it. Upon inspection I found that the heater hose is disconnected (no heater). This was apparently done during the R34 engine swap but im not sure why it was left disconnected (done in Japan). Can the heater of an R33 be reconnected to work with the R34 engine? If so where do I connect the two outlets coming out of the firewall to on the engine. Thanks in advance, Will
