Hey guys, my dickhead brother cooked the engine in his 33 so we need a replacement! All of his accessories are in good order so we are mainly after a good condition running long engine (Rocker cover to sump) Im in southern NSW but will travel a bit if have to. Im on the lookout for a good condition R32 gtst rolling shell to build into a street/time attack car. Im really regretting selling my old one and i wanna build another... Id prefer one in silver but im not too fussy and will get it sprayed. MUST be able to be registered. Doesnt have to be regoed though. Must have complete interior.. Im running a GT35R on my internally standard RB25, it has the .82 rear housing and it makes the current full boost (11psi) at bout 3800rpm or therabouts, of course the more boost you run the longer it takes to reach it. If response is your adjective them i would give one of the GT30 framed turbos a go. A mate has one on his RB25 VL and it makes 285rwkw at 1 bar (with supporting mods)

As said in earlier posts the only diesels that will give a flutter/dose/compressor surge are the ones that have a throttle butterfly. they work in the same principle as a petrol engine, butterfly position determines the amount of diesel that will be injected and how often etc and as you all kno the pressure has no where to go but out of the air filter.. Most of the new aged japanese diesels run on a common rail system, engine runs a normal engine driven fuel pump which feeds up to the "common rail" it then goes from there to each cylinder through an EUP (electronic unit injectors) which inject the right amount of diesel determined by throttle position via a sensor on the accelerator pedal/rpm/load/speed etc! The older diesel engines just run the conventional style diesel injection pump, which has a rack inside it, inturn it sends the diesel up the pipes to the injectors detirmined by engine position (its run via the timing gears) so it doesnt need a butterfly All a bit confusing i kno but it sort of makes sense when u work on them everyday, might not have everything 100% right but it gives you guys a bit of an idea how they work. some of the euro diesels combine all of them together to really stuff us up lol, we have a Merc vito van as a breakdown vehicle and it flutters like mad!! As stated above ^^ most of the diesels that have butterflys are there for emissions purposes. but i have seen a few engines that actually use themas a throttle body

definately consider ben if you cant seem to get it working for yourself!! best $350 i have EVER spent.. plugged straight in and car started 1st go..

My 32 makes 250kw atw and im running a rb20 box, second gear synchro is rooted and the box whines like an annoying girlfriend in the 1st 3 gears, it is driven everyday with a 5 puck sprung center clutch. At least it will give you a bit of an idea what to expect, i have a spare 20 box here but ill be fitting up the 25 box very soon
