Hey guys,
Soon I will be getting my P's and I am really wanting to get a Skyline. As many know, it's much easier to come across a Turbo Skyline, rather than a Non-Turbo Skyline. If i was able to buy a turbo, and then have it removed, etc to become a P-Plate legal car, it would give me a much wider variety of Skylines to choose from, as I would not be limited to a select few only.
I am assuming that since i am downgrading, it will not require too much. I am thinking all it would need is perhaps to unmount the turbo, and have it retuned to what a stock Skyline should be at. Am i wrong in assuming this?
Also, in terms of insurance (if anybody knows) since the car may read, ie - GTS-T, could I simply tell the insurance the Turbo has actually be removed, although it is a GTS-T model and does usually have the turbo, as if i ever had an accident, I would not want them to not pay out as they think it had a turbo in it, but it didn't.
Appreciate any replies.
