If I was you I would get the M35 with the single din stereo and replace it with a dvd player. Then play that into the tuner. You can then play it back through the factory pop up screen. Make sure you get the factory screen and not the aftermarket one. I have worked on a few and about 20% of the bose stereos have something not working.
Ive got 18s on the car but I think 19s would fill the gaurds a lot better.
If your antenna isnt working and it came with the asuka unit have you tried going in the menu and turning antenna to powered on. Its in the menu 605 (in menu mode press menu then 6 0 5). It put 5v onto the antenna.
It might help
That will work if you do it that way. You can also get the tuner and have an extra yellow RCA added inside the tuner so its hidden you still need a relay.
The air con tube pokes through the fire wall on the passenger side maybe the rubber has split. Do you only get water after its rained or after the aircon has been on?
There is also a big rubber grommet just under the windscreen on passenger side for the ecu loom. That could be possible and next time it rains check it then so you can see where it starts from.
Here is a kit you could get. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Nissan-Skyline-V35-350GT-03-06-HKS-GT-Supercharger-Kit-/230602756013?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item35b0fecfad
Its a nice HKS supercharge kit
Ive checked all the earths and yes I have an earthing kit around the engine bay that I made up. I think this has only started since the turbo rebuild. But I think the problem was there before I took the engine out.
I havent had any thing else play up yet but the problem is like if you unpluged the BCM and then nothing happens.
Ill have another look around that area and maybe ill unplug the ecu again.
I smell what your cooking. The problem is it has only happened 3 times in the month I cant fault it when I try it again a few times. I hate finding intermittent faults. I will try leaving the lights on auto and see if it does the same thing over time.
Also it dosent just stall it goes completely dead all dash lights everything goes off and stays off until I turn ign off and on.
Its like a relay trips off and is reset when car is turned off.
I usually play with anything upto 275000V also. Yes your right I would blow a fuse if I had a short.
I dont think its a coil pack yet because its only shut down when the lights are turned on. But I am thinking something HV. I think the headlight transformers are breaking down to earth on the HV side and the ecu isnt liking it.
As title says In the last month after turning the car on to warm up and on 3 occasions when I turn the headlights on the whole car shuts down.
I then have to turn ign off and start again and its fine.
I have a 1 year old battery which I replaced with a bigger one. I dont think its a battery thing.
Has anyone else experienced this before?
I dont know where you got your v35 one from but mine went straight in. All the mounts were in the same place.
Unless the 2.5L and the 3.5L are different in the v35 series. Then I guess I got the 2.5L one
My radiator did the exact same thing. I rang around and got a new one for about $400 it is exactly the same as the V35. Ithink it was a koyo radiator from memory. This was in adelaide from parafield radiators.
I would replace the whole thing mine was pretty blocked.
I have just done a gcg high flow. It was an engine out job. I got a 28/71 core. The power is increased a little and it is alot smoother. If your going to do the job I know a good place. Once the turbo was out I got the turbo rebuilt by ATS ask for Bill. He has done a few M35 turbos now.
I know Rocco and he was going to get me a GTR in the end the wait was to long to find the right one. I was pretty fussy. In the end one turned up here in AUS.
You should give him a call.
I saw a white R34 GTR on anzac hwy around lunch time doing a u turn back towards the city. And it didnt have a GTR badge on the front. Must be trying to be a non GTR
