  1. I too, find Dyno Graphs to be confusing , I thought 300KW would be 300KW on all of them all Then I am told it depends whos dyno and how they do the runs, I think they just give you an idea and they are tuning tools. I will wait until the car is done and see what I think, more importantly the boys will let me know what they think and I value there opinions more than a Dyno, but I guess at the end f the day there is only one bloke that has to be happy , me I will put the results up, some may find the comparison helpful, but ?? I would like to take it to a few other shops to see what the Dyno differences are, now that would be interesting !
  2. Mine caused traction loss , once the bushes in the sub frame etc were done it was not only more stable but I did not loose traction as bad. it was that bad it was like the clutch was letting go once full boost came on and it would rev out in a flash through 1,2 and 3rd , if the road surface was a bit off it would also do it in 4th. This does not happen now All the best with the problem. Keep us updated .
  3. Should have comparison between the PT 6266 Gen 2 and the 8374 in few weeks, that should be interesting as they are both rated around 800 BHP. Trouble is they will be done on different Dynos so not a real back to back comparison. But worth a look I think.
  4. Getting close now mate It has been so long , I will loan you the Tiida so you can get used of a bit of power again
  5. Had a similar problem, mainly on straight country roads that are pretty bad, ruts being the worst but not bad on the twisty bits. First time I gunned it, it pulled very hard to the left towards the trees and gully, oh and cows . It would go left or right depending on the road surface. Had to check the undies when I got home. The back end was all over the place under power through the gears, I thought that was normal with a lot of power but Paul and Micko said, no way it is dangerous and said to get the work below done, Pussies , lol Went with the MCA X-Cs and kept it legal height, then had "ALL" of the bushes changed , plus new rear camber arms, still have to do a final alignment. Car is much better now, still tramlines but not as bad, the back end is much more stable now . Just wants to hurt me now , not kill me , well I was told at Heasman the wider the tyres the more it will tram-line on crappy road surfaces , mine are 265s. Never any trouble at all on the Freeway etc.
  6. After searching around I believe my windscreen has a problem called pitting, zillions of tiny dings on the glass and when the sun hits it at a low angle, mornings and arvos it goes white and the world disappears, scary coming around a bend into the sun. So getting a new windscreen installed tomorrow , only $280 , it is not a Nissan original but if I can see through it when the sun hits it, who cares Be interesting to see what one gets for that price
  7. This is some indication of what the 7670 can do, they do not use WHP for the tests but BHP (crank) I think, but there is always the question about the US Dynos reading higher , so ?? EFR 7670 is ideal for road racing and time attack applications, as well as responsive high power street driven vehicles. Engineered for great spool, quick response and the potential to surpass 640hp - the 7670 is capable of 64lb/min compressor flow - unheard of for this size compressor wheel. The 7670 is an excellent turbocharger for road racing and time attack applications, as well as responsive high power street driven vehicles.
  8. Could be , I live in the country
  9. Brett, I doubt this bunch of people are trying to change your mind or really care if you keep a log book or not, that is your choice and probably better than not doing it. We are discussing the policy, I think it would be easier for NRMA to have a yearly odometer reading before they renew the policy. But I am sure if E.Lee could wind the odometer back the dishonest policy holder could as well but it would be harder for most people than having a page with 1 - 10 dates stating when I drove the car each month. I drive mine usually on the weekends since I took this policy out, so it makes it easy to do the 10 times a month .
  10. A log book might help. But a log book is about as good as the bloke that enters the info , lol 10 times a month is pretty good, better in some ways than the 9000 PA and you can drive further. A lot of things are not clear, recreational purpose , that is open to interpretation . I like this one, "an activity that diverts or amuses or stimulates" a skyline can do that every day, well 10 days a month, lol
  11. Whoops , that was a typo. I knew it was 9000 a year , that was what it was with my first policy. But the 10 times a month does not make any sense , it is unenforceable , how can it be policed ?? 9000 PA at least you could go off the odometer .
  12. I might have misunderstood it?
  13. Hi Ravi I looked at page 4 on my policy, it said under important changes ;, pay by the month payment option is available and Drive your vehicle up to 9000klm per month BUT, it did say on page 2 " I Missed" 10 times a month ?? I am confused, maybe the 10 times a month would allow you to drive as far as you liked but only 10 times a month, you could do 500klm a trip X 10 =5000klm PM = 60000klm PA and they want you to be under 9000klms a month ????? I need to talk to them about my policy and I will ask them about this, trouble is, it depends who you speak to there, one person will say one thing and call back and talk to someone else and it changes, lol
  14. I just received my renewal It tells my I am still 9000 klms s PA, not 10 times a month. To me this is the best way to do it. I wonder if this is because when I took the policy out it was 9000klm PA at that time and they are sticking with the original policy ??
  15. Most of you are kids, lol Mine is well modded , 74 with a very good driving record, small town and lock up garage helps
  16. Just the wording, drive day or similar organised event? They already mentioned these were not covered, race, rally, trial, test or contest and track ? Maybe the next member that calls for a quote can ask the question, worth asking.
  17. On page 37 of the booklet (PDS) it states and I would think this really needs to be answered. They do NOT provide cover if you are involved in any "organised event", this included in a track day ( OK), "DRIVE DAY" or similar organised event. This sounds like an organised road trip "could" be a problem , but?
  18. When I first spoke to the bloke on the phone 2 years ago he asked me if I had a DD and I am sure he said this was also a condition to get this type of policy, you needed to have a daily drive car to be eligible for the VVC insurance .
  19. 10 times a months, how can you prove this one way or another. Log book, give me a break! Recreational ? what does that really mean and who makes the rules for what it means. Driving 5 Klms or 1000 klms could be recreational ? I think that NRMA Vintage would not take your money and try to stiff you on a technicality that would be hard to prove. I think it would have been easier to leave it at 9000klms PA, you could do 10,000 klms in 10 trips in a month and hard to prove you did not do 10 trips, this was a dumb change as at least they had the Odometer to check for 9000klms PA? Just take the insurance and drive carefully as fast as you can
  20. I think that sounds unenforceable. If you had a smash, say going work, you could say you were going for a cruise.? Then if you were going for a cruise, they could say you were going to the shop ? What if you were going to a mechanic, petrol or similar, can they wiggle out of honouring the policy, so many IFs and BUTs If your car was stolen from outside your garage, you could be washing it and gone inside to go to the toilet . The electric garage door might have broken, many things can happen? Then if you were washing the car, went to the toilet and came back to find the car gone, they could say it was still parked outside your garage and not covered? You would be forced to fabricate the story to help your claim, if not, good bye car and the all money you spent on it , plus all of the payments to the insurance company. When I got mine, first it was, dive it under 9000klm PA, then changed to 10 days a month and you must have a carport or lock up garage. It can be used for a Hobby or recreational purposes. I took the recreational purpose to mean if you go out for a drive in the country or on a club cruise and such. Surely on this type of recreational day you would be allowed to stop and buy lunch or do you have to take a sandwich and eat it in the car. What if it was a long cruise to Melbourne, can you stay over night or do they want you to turn around and drive home. It would be so hard to do something that the insurer could not use against you so they did not have to pay out should your car get stolen or in a smash. It would be a real mess!
  21. They blend in nicely with the cars profile
  22. Jez does a good work, I like the yellow , I have not seen one before. Do not mind the work on the side and I do not usually like that type of thing
  23. What were the vids about , hard to see anything except the dash Need something different
  24. Wondering if anyone has my problem with an R34GTR , there seems to be millions of specks "in the glass" and when the early or late afternoon sun hits the screen it turns white I put a dash cover on and it does help, a little. I have buffed the screen and looks great in the shade but the low sun hits it when you are driving and it is dangerous. Will try an Auto glass company, maybe it is a simple fix, but ? Maybe it is and after market tinting product ? I believe a new one is around $2000 ish ????
  25. I do not think anything is ugly that can make a car GO faster ?
