  1. haha, I don't think you could get the 88 off Paul unless you killed him, now there is thought It would be interesting to see how it goes with an 88 poked in it, even with my shitty driving as is, it is pretty mad!
  2. Bring your cheque book with you and a pen to sign the contract, you F**k it , you fix it
  3. Thanks Paul and Johnny, any help with the suspension appreciated. Yes the torque is something else , once you are driving along in 6th, gear changes are only if you want to play or tight bends, you can go up inclines and it will not labour , put your foot down and it starts to pull, and around 2000rpm in any gear and it gets going smoothly and just gets stronger. Changing gears around 5000rpm and there is no sense of lag. I guess I got used of the steering and tramlining as it was much worse when I bought it and I had an alignment and did the kingpin bearings, that helped a lot , yet it is still pretty bad. Torque steering more now. Even with the power it has for a road car, it drives very linear, no surprises when you put your foot down, just goes strong and it hugs the road, I think my modded driveline and the AD08Rs all work well together. Cannot wait to get the suspension sorted Paul will have a better chance to see if he likes the way the car drives on the weekend
  4. I have 461kw + 1000Nm and no burnouts for me, reckon I will have to rev it till the valves bounce and step off, the only thing smoking will be my clutch, lol
  5. I have the AD08Rs 265 35 18, they seem to hold power very well and unless you are trying really hard with AWD, no spin, chirp and off you go.
  6. I must have a R34SilviaGTR , not a Skyline , I have 6 gears, but I bought it from Edward Lee's ?????+?
  7. 2 balls can get you in enough trouble, a bucket of them
  8. Regardless of what is to come , it feels great to get the car back at 100% + after a year of crap I will chase this up as hard as I can, I want to be made whole, not part of, I want what I spent to rectify a stupid mistake that could have been fixed a year ago. There is no way they did not know the leak was internal , there was never a drop externally . I will be going for a run in the morning, might go to down the Lakesway to Wootton Way , it is a great drive dodging the holes, the last time I went there it was too early and the sun was in my eyes and there were branches all over the road after a storm , not worth the effort , want to have a look at the road under better conditions. They do that Nulon Hillclimb and that looks mad! Thanks for the back up I just felt so f**ken good today, had a dumb arse smile at golf all day , even after a shit shot and there were many of those, LOL
  9. Hi Mike, 425 kw, Green 98 pump , 461kw Red E85 Just nice to have the car home and running hard
  10. Have a few beers and grow a spine, a little directional movement keeps you on your toes, haha I will be talking the my bloke up here and see who he would suggest to do the suspension work, hopefully it will be someone in town, sick of traveling to get work done. Found out why it was not starting straight away, the new Elite 2500 has a prime and tacho feature like on some newer cars, turn the key to ignition it primes, then it does a tacho sweep and then kick it over, only a couple of seconds, wasted, lol
  11. I think Piggaz is going in a different direction , who knows with this bloke, but he enjoyed trying to smash my box and clutch yesterday From what we spoke about when I picked my car up, my ID1300 injectors where at 93% and not a lot left in the turbo and for me that is fine. If I wanted more, bigger turbo and injectors . But with a RIPS built motor, the pt6466 cea Gen2 and maybe ID2000 injectors it should be great and good for E85 if you do a flex tune. I spoke to Rob just before I put my car in for the build, but had dropped it off to the shop just before I got RIPS quote. I still do not know if I would have used RIPS, ONLY because the motor had to be taken out by someone, sent to them and sent back, WRONGLY I thought it would be too much trouble and take too long, silly me, lol When I found that my car had not been touched for 5 weeks I asked the builder to put all the parts I bought in the boot and I would pick the car up within a week, 2 days later I had a photo from them, they had taken motor out of the car , then the work stopped again I still think they built my motor pretty good and did a good job on the driveline, just F**ked up as shit happens but THEN put their heads in the sand and tried to BS their way out of the responsibility . When you spend this type of money you need someone that stands behind their work and just fixes any problems that were caused during the build
  12. Nice rap Paul, thanks Thanks for the ride you NUT, loved it but forgot to slip you the Valium , I was stuck to the seat for 5 minutes after you stopped changed my undies when I got home, LOL Had a nice run home, highway like an auto , no need to change gear and had a bit of fun on the twisty stuff and loved that it is still very linear and no surprises when you play, just gets going smoothly and quick Now for the suspension, anyone know a good shop around the Mid North Coast. I will ask my bloke here if he knows anyone?
  13. haha, already packed extra Paul is coming for a run, so that will be fun going to slip him some Valium , lol It is a crappy trip down to Gosford, bus then train, taking this laptop as the bus goes on a Cooks Tour to get to Newcastle
  14. Pick her up in the morning and looking forward to it big time, it looks like it could be a ton of fun from the Dyno but as we know it is sort of a guide and until you get your arse in the seat and give it a run, Dynos mean shit It has been shitty and a long time, just on a year exactly since I picked it up and I first told them about the leak 3 days later on the 16/3/15 , sent an email again on the 17th and nothing but smoke and mirrors ever since but tomorrow I will forget all of that crap when I turn the key and head home Then a big polish day to get it back to full gloss, that should start the rain, lol By the way, do you have trouble with the water coming out of the nozzle for the windscreen washer when you give it a run, bloody annoying on a black car Smiling thinking about it
  15. Thanks for that input That is my second action if I cannot get the result I need from NCAT, they have powers that Consumers Affairs do not have I have sent the builder the Report just on a month ago with no reply. I am only waiting on the final invoices for the work carried out to repair the leak and I will send that to them in a registered letter of demand along with the original Report and Videos and state I would like a response within 7 or 14 days, whatever the norm is or action will be taken, I will also email all the info to them again as a back up. But in the mean time I will fill out the forms for NCAT and be ready to get the ball rolling, I have contacted the builder 3 times without a reply and it is obvious they do not intend to do so , maybe if they feel threatened by a higher power they will talk about it, but ??. If this does not get the desired results, I will be doing as you suggested and I always was going to do that, but first will try the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal, they are easy to deal with and very helpful, they also carry a large stick
  16. Trouble was they never seemed to want to do anything, 3 times and the best I got was a stupid video with water pissing out of the top radiator hose. I told them after the video that it was still leaking in the "exact same way" no better no worse. They said as far as they were concerned "it was Fixed" end of story and I have sent 3 emails plus the report and got NOTHING back, they leave you no choice but to do it the hard way. But when you see how much work went into finding the problem and fixing it, it cost me a shit load $$$$$$$$$$s
  17. I know they read this thread. I guess my next step is NCAT and see what they can do, at least they have power and can make judgments and enforce them and it costs nothing, used them with Phil Lee and he shit! Then paid up,lol If I get no joy from NCAT I will go legal
  18. You do not really think it stops here do you, this is just the start! I have Video proof they stuffed up and I will chase it until I get paid for the work needed to fix it back to where it should have been back in March last year
  19. I just posted this in MY coolant leak Thread but for those that missed it I will also post part of the final report regarding my water leak. Please not I have given the original Builder months to reply to my emails and a month to reply to the report. 2 other were involved in this report and know the facts are true. I have not received a reply, so I guess I will have to take it further. PART OF THE REPORT, the rest is where they were searching for the problem, this is what the problem was diagnosed as. I also have the Videos and some pictures as proof of the reort VVVVVVVVVV We next chose to remove the primary oil gallery bungs and use an inspection camera to confirm where the coolant was leaking into the main oil gallery from. At 15psi of cooling system pressure we saw the coolant leaking from the cylinder head oil feed gallery into the primary oil gallery. (See video “Leak 02”) This confirmed that coolant was entering the cylinder head oil feed gallery. Number 3 inlet side head stud was removed with the cooling system still pressurized. This stud is next to the cylinder head oil feed oil and they share the same cut out in the head gasket. This resulted in an extreme coolant leak from the head stud hole. It was found that when the engine was originally built the head studs were upgraded to ½” items and the head stud holes were drilled ~5mm deeper than standard causing a number of them to pass into the coolant jackets around them. (See video “Leak 03” and image “Stud hole 01”) Head studs were sealed, engine was assembled and cooling system re-tested at 25 psi for 1 hour and no leaks were found. (See video “leak 04”) We also found there were no locating dowels for the cylinder head and head gasket, the cylinder head and engine block were drilled to accept new dowels. The main bearing tunnel was not honed to suit the upgraded main studs fitted, as they were not tensioned to the correct specifications set by the stud manufacturer. Once tensioned correctly the main bearing was clearance 0.001” instead of 0.002”. The main tunnel was resized and correct clearances were achieved.
  20. Hi Just an update, here is part of the report I have back from an independent motor builder, it was also seen ans assessed by 2 other shops involved in the leak issue and it only took 7 pages, LOL I have given the original builder plenty of time to answer emails and read the full report, no answer! We next chose to remove the primary oil gallery bungs and use an inspection camera to confirm where the coolant was leaking into the main oil gallery from. 21. I even made a mistake, but I will not tell you how many. lol I am not sure pride should get in the way, I always found it easier to just focus on the problem and fix it instead of rooting around , wasting time and at the end of the day , still have to fix it. I think in this case, pay to have it fixed by someone else and that is just crazy from a business point of view There is going to be some crap to come out of this and I guess it will take a long time to finalize it, but I have plenty of time on my hands and do not roll over for anyone!
  22. haha, guess so I would like the same UE cam made up for the V-Cam intake cam, that would be interesting
