My hero I think when the tune is done I it will prove why the car did not respond as expected, since forever, something that I have whindged about since the start when it was was a 2.6, there has always been something wrong with the way the car runs. -

No problem Tom On the positive side , have to wait until the 6boost mani comes in , installed and the tune done, I can assure you you will have a laugh at the end of this saga and shake your head at the final disclosure and will understand that there was another reason why I had so much trouble trying to get response from the time it was a 2.6 I have copped some shit from a few blokes and most of it was/is very funny and I love it , keep it up -

That sounds good but in theory about first time extreme driving BUT when I got it back it was limited to 5000rpm, put about 2000klm on it, took it back for the final tune, the next day when I took it for a run while I was still in Sydney it would not go over 6000rpm without coughing and farting, phoned them and they said bring it back on Monday, so I booked in for a couple more days. Had the re tune and drove home. Next day I had a chance to see how it went, it would not go over 6000rpm without coughing and farting, told them,put another set of plugs in , 2nd set, he did a remote tune but the next time I tried to drive it hard, same shit and waited 3 months, back in, 1 month later got it back. If you saw the Dyno, the psi dropped from 23 to 18.5 from 4500rpm to 7000rpm. I could feel it , Mick could feel it. But it was not farting anymore at 6000rpm, So there was no way it had EXTREME anything as it was only up to 8000rpm once when Mick drove it to test it out. It was taken to 8000rpm MANY times on the Dyno with a fan blowing air to cool it, extreme? I do not know why things are as they are, but they are. The builder was helpful all the way through this trouble but I cannot help thinking, when it came to really trying to find the problem they missed everything? -

Forget when it was a 2.6, maybe thats when it started to pack up ? It has only been a 3.2 for a blink and it has been stuffed from the first time I drove it hard ish, the next morning after the final tune. I ran it in over 2000klms. I would think that the holes and cracks could have contributed to the problems with the tune, something was making it difficult to tune it properly , just guessing as I have no idea what a stuffed manifold would do, I have never had one on a car of mine. I guess the final tune will give us an idea, maybe it was a combination of factors? But I think it will be a good result -

No mate, it went back because it would not rev over 6000rpm without coughing and farting. It would not free rev at 5000rpm + without a miss and if you went from 100kph into 5th gear and put your foot down it would die at 130 until you took your foot off. I can assure you no one had to tell me it was crook. It was the other way around, after I came back from the shop the last time,, with blokes saying I am a DH because I said it did not run the way it should and until XKLABA drove it and said the same thing, that anyone listened to my bleating Could the cracks and holes in the manifold make the boost start dropping off at 4600rpm ? You wait for the final tune and see what I revel -

Jez waited for the surge tank, then installed it, not looking for anything at that time and then started going over the car eliminating possible problems , fixing them , crossed them off and moved on to the next possibility , the manifold was the next on the list. There is more to tell but I will wait until we get it on the dyno and see how it goes, it is something that is harder to believe. So tune in for the next exciting episode of " Will it ever end" an absorbing story of an old man sewing his last oats , will he ever see the results or drop dead first -

There have been a few things, the latest V V V My manifold could be used for a colander there are so many cracks and holes in it, sounds like a whorehouse,lol Going to put a 6 boost manifold on. Should help not having all of those holes and cracks hurting response and power as the exhaust pulse/pressure is escaping before it reaches the turbine -

Nothing yet, not sure what to expect ? I have asked to have the cam advanced for response without worrying about what it does to the top end. It was suggested that with my set up , it would tune close to what I want on E85 but unfortunately that would only be used when available and that would not be too often. I want it to be as good as he can get it on 98 pump? So I will wait and see how it turns out V-Cam ? Does it ever end when you chase a dream ????? -

It is, this week, Jez has to finish off some wiring and ready to tune , before he does the tune he is going through the things that could be causing the the boost lag and crossing them off the list. But Jerrie cans, you sound like Paul lol I go to Newcastle and Sydney a bit and will fill up there, I will check out the web site again and see if there are any new stations with E85. But I will use it when I can just for fun, this way I will not be used of it and it will be a treat -

Shit, I was told that long before this thread started, by just about everyone that knew what I wanted from the car, haha It was never going to be better than the TT350GT from idle ,but I never wanted it so you had to rev the shit out of it to get it going. It is getting there and we will see how it goes after the work is finished. The 350TT is 254RWKW as to 380awkw from the 34, how do you think they would stack up against each other now, both around the same weight but the 350 has .3lt more ? -
