  1. I'm old, what does that mean, I guess you are ragging me , if so , up yours , if not , what do you mean ? Some shit does not work on this laptop and I have to fire up my PC to get the info, even to open graphs, photos ect
  2. Thanks, I put in "want to buy" and got nothing, bloody laptop
  3. what is the WTB section, got nothing ?
  4. Makes 2 of us Brent, plus the blokes that want the thread ended regardless of the result , shit Jono wanted it closed, post one , sorry For me it will only end with a good result
  5. lol, I was thinking of getting a GT-R , they are fast with a shitload of grunt BUT the Skyline Rs had something, I wanted a stick shift and the feeling of driving the car, not so much as the car driving me, well that was how I looked at it. I also preferred the look of the Rs. I will get the car were I am happy, very close now except there were problems and I am having them fixed and adding a couple more mods that I can use when I feel like it, so all good
  6. Hi Mitch, I did find your dyno results , very impressive I do not care if my Dyno reads 350KW on 98 pump, this is as much as I can use as I do not need top end, I must admit it would be nice to have both. Realistically with my cams dialed in for response and the 6262 it limits top end. It will be flex tuned, I can use E85 if I want a bit more.. So I will wait for Jez to do his best with what he has to work with and drive it to see how it feels. From some info I have read, detonation also affects performance but I am not sure if a "slight detonation" would affect the results ? As far as singles Vs twins, using new tech turbos for both types would be the only fair test to have. I had Twins on a 350GT Skyline and they were awesome but it was a V6 new age motor compared to the earlier straight 6 Skylines.
  7. Have seen it before,a single against twins? Your point ?
  8. I hope I do not have to change it and I know you are are right but I am a stubborn SOB and still chasing the Holy Response and worried if I get bigger turbo I will be going backwards , lol
  9. Yeah that .84 was the biggest for the 6262 I think and it is split. If I have to go to a different turbo to have it working better then I will. You mentioned some time back about the BW 8374 with the 1.01 housing, spools quickly and has 50HP extra, that could be an option ?
  10. Crying just thinking about it,lol It was a good thing I did not like the performance and thought there was something wrong with the way it felt to drive with the power it had. But until I had a second opinion from Mick I was only guessing I am not sure if it will be much better when I get it back, I hope so
  11. From what I know about it , "no detonation" is what you want. As detonation gets worse can it lead to pre ignition in a car engine or are they totally separate problems. From I have read so far slight detonation can go on for a long time in your family car and you would not really know it is happening but still causing internal problems, not sure about turbo charged engines? But pre ignition can destroy your motor/pistons in a flash.
  12. Yes, said it was slight detonation, not sure if any detonation is good for the motor. Lines are done on the surge tank. tested OK for leaks , so things are moving along, pics a bit dark
  13. haha , I know where the thread went, all over the place when the topic went tits up once I drove the car home and there were problems. The posts had some opinions on the problems and went off topic while waiting for work to be carried out , bit of shit stiring, some smart arse comments but just a bit of fun Then after a few attempts to retune it that did not work, I then waited 3 months to get the car in to get the problems sorted, another month to have the work done, then I thought it would be over but it was still not 100% . The work was not finished as there were a couple of things I wanted done including a retune, to me the tune was not as it should be, I was lucky Mick came up and drove the car and agreed that there were some things that needed to be looked at. The tune is aggressive with ignition , with slight detonation , running rich on idle and boost. Full boost is not until 4600rpm and power flat lines at 63000rpm @ 22psi. Am I happy with that, guess ? But once the new work is completed, it will be looked at again , cam timing and tuned. The good thing is this work will be paid for by the parts I sold from the old build before I bought the car
  14. Said a week or 2, depending if all of the parts were available
  15. Yes, get a bit sick of some blokes wanting things to go tits up ( sometimes just a stir , all good ) because they do not like what you want from your car or feel what you want is unrealistic , shit, thats what we all try to do, get what we personally want from our cars , matters not what it is and you do not have to agree with what the next bloke wants or how many $$$$s he spends to get it Shit I have seen some blokes have spent $200,000 on their car over some years and sell them for $85k ? I have no idea if I will get exactly what I want but it is pretty close already
  16. Jez was pretty impressed with it and it will be interesting to see how it performs
  17. This is that Nuke Surge Tank going in, does not block access to the Attesa reserve or anything else, it is 3lt but compact enough
  18. Also getting feedback from blokes that know what they are talking about and do the work is great, just a matter of weeding out the talkers from the workers and is not easy for a for blokes like me that just start doing mods It seems that there is not only one way to get what you want, or close to it , a bit of trial and error seems to be the norm
  19. Sounds like your car has been running strong any latest Dyno or changes you have made. Are you still doing most of the work on it ?
  20. That does not make much sense, I was going over some of the Bulahdelah results and you did very well and so did RTDC ?? Matters not, as long as you have a mob to race with and have fun Looking forward to the next round
  21. Well, you just need to do a bit more practice, or bump one of them off
